I want to say a big thank you for watching this entire Bangkok travel guide video series, and I hope that it has given you some amazing idea for things to do in Bangkok and also for restaurant and Thai dishes to try when you’re in Bangkok.
Day 15 was our final day traveling or visiting Bangkok, and we started off at the hotel, where we relaxed for part of the morning. After packing up our stuff, we left our bag at the front of the hotel and headed off down Charoen Krung road to have one last final incredible meal in Bangkok.
1:46 Pa Krua Tuan (ร้านพ่อครัวเถื่อน) - Pa Krua Tuan (ร้านพ่อครัวเถื่อน) is an old Thai restaurant in the lower Charoen Krung area of Bangkok, and it was just about a 15 minute walk to get there from Chatrium Riverside hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant was just opening up for lunch, and we got a seat in the alley and ordered. Pa Krua Tuan (ร้านพ่อครัวเถื่อน) specializes in steamed dish, which are sort of boiled and steamed at the same time in small little bowls. They have all sorts of combinations of these Thai Chinese style steamed dishes. Kai toon (ไข่ตุ๋น) or steamed egg is something I always enjoy, and at this restaurant they made it incredible good. Ying and I also had the kra por pla toon gai ya jeen (กระเพาะปลาตุ๋นไก่ยาจีน), fish maw boiled in soup with mushrooms and some Chinese herbs and spices, it was equally as delicious. Another dish we ordered, which was unlike any other Thai dish I’ve had in Bangkok was pla duk tod krob pad ped (ปลาดุกทอดกรอบผัดเผ็ด), catfish that was deep fried to crispy and then covered in an amazing green curry chili paste. It was incredibly delicious as were all the other dishes we ordered. It was an outstanding meal to have on our last and final day traveling in Bangkok during this 2 Weeks In Bangkok travel guide video series.
After lunch we headed back to the hotel to grab our backpack, and we caught a taxi back home (yes we actually live in Bangkok!).

im an Chinese born Australian. I love cooking and c ooking shows, I have to admit I absolutely love your blog and the amount of work and passion you and Ying put into this awesome program. keep up the good work in 2016, looking forward to your new adventures.
Mark, when I feel low I watch your videos. your sweet pleasant personality cheers me up.
the food looks really good/ but you suck get a grip om yor food show since you are the only one who spoils it with all that good food!
Mark you have gotten so succinct in your reviews and draw us into the makeup and diversity. You now have become really effective in how to bring all parts of the food forward.
Mark, what a great way to end your Bangkok series, thank you very much, watching your videos makes me appreciate other cultures and best of all other cuisine, great job!!!
+Abel Campos Thank you Abel!
I have watched your channel for ages but never left a comment before, and I love watching your video especially the series of 2 weeks in Bangkok, it's very detailed, helpful and even tempted especially for those who want to wander the streets and taste the food of Bangkok like I do. Thank you for making videos and your kindness to make the ebook free so it's easier and available to everyone.
Best wishes to you and Ying!
I love your videos. Your happiness and love for food , travel and culture is contagious ! I can not wait to visit Bangkok after watching this series.
Thanks Mark for the taking the time to film and edit all of your days in Bangkok. I know it took a long time to edit each video and I really appreciate it. Thanks again. I enjoyed every video 😊
+Dany Kao Hey Dany, thank you very much, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Mark and Ying, I really enjoyed watching this series, sad it's come to an end! Love the enthusiasm and energy that you guys put into all your videos. Keep up the good work, love all these adventures!
Dear Mark
I absolutely adore your videos! This whole Bangkok series has been absolutely the best project you have posted on your channel so far! I can tell how much work you put into these videos and it definitely paid off! Well done! Please keep up with making videos about your travels and food I cannot wait to see more! I would also like to see a storytime video on how you and Ying met! :) Include her in videos more she seems very nice! Also, did you learn to speak Thai pretty much fluently and if yes how difficult was it given that you have been living in Thailand for a few years now? I went to Thailand less than a year ago and I am looking for another opportunity to go there again as the culture is incredibly rich and the people are so lovely not mentioning the food! Thanks for your hard work and keep up with it! :)
All the best to you and Ying in the year 2016!
+inkandparchment Thank you very much for watching, really appreciate it! I will try to do some videos like that in the future. My Thai isn't too good, it should be much better. Glad you're thinking to come back again. Thank you again and Happy New Year!
Hey Mark. Love your videos. Watch them pretty religiously. This 2 weeks around Bangkok series was very entertaining. I actually also stayed at the Chatrium hotel that you stayed at during a 2013 trip to Bangkok. Very nice hotel indeed. Love how passionate you are about food and travel. I'd love to see your work expand into TV one of these days. I think you would make an awesome travel host/guide for a Southeast Asia themed travel/food series. I'm actually heading back to Thailand this June on vacation and I'll be sure to look back on some of these videos for some kickass places to eat. Thanks a million!!
Don Jariyasunant only negative is that he won’t produce the shows if he goes to tv, I like how he controls his own videas and he’s a pro at it. I hope he never gets bought out so he can bring us his true experiences...leave him in control of content...I’ll support him any way I can, as will most of his followers I am sure!
Hahaha.... liked the scene at 1:35. Ying was like cuddling the pillow and really enjoyed the very comfy bed.
I have watched each and every video in this series as we are going to Bangkok, and I can not thank you enough for the time and effort that goes into these, and all your videos! After watching so many of your videos, I now know what dishes you absolutely love, and every time you head swayed with that huge smile, I paused the video and then added it to my 'places to eat at' list :) Thank you Mark and Ying xox
I enjoyed watching all 15 days of your Bangkok Food Fest. I learned a lot about the variety of traditional Thai dishes. I appreciate your passion for good Thai food and your effort to find where the best of these dishes are found. Your expressions are adorable! and so sincere. I like reading the words written in English and Thai of the location names, dish names, and knowing the cost paid for food and transportation (bus, taxi, boat, tuk-tuk, etc). A suggestion is to insert a map of where you are, so there is a visual understanding of where the restaurants and sites are located. Also, would be to know more about the fruits like their names, what they look like inside, and how they taste (maybe a topic for another video). And to include information on desserts that Ying likes to eat (again, a topic for another video). Thank you for being so entertaining.
I loved watching this series and I can't wait to visit Bangkok again to cover all the amazing eateries that you guys went to. And with hope... I'll bump into you both.
Kub Khun Krub, Mark and Ying...

+info warrior Your'e welcome, thank you very much for watching. Happy New Year!
Hi Mark,
I love every single one of your videos and they give me lots of places to visits when I come to Thailand every year.
I am also a food addict and love to eat and cook especially thai food. I shared many of your recipes with my friends here in Germany and they all love it and started cooking them themselves.
Please do a similar series in Chiang Mai (as I will be there again starting Jan 19th)!!
Happy New Year!
When I first read the title, I thought you were moving away. Thank you for taking a vacation for us in your own back yard and taking us along. More people needs to "vacation" in their own backyard. Your video always makes me hungry, and I miss Thailand and my family there. Will go again soon :).
I am disciplining myself to give a thumbs up to all your videos....smile...sometimes I am so into them that I forget to give a thumbs up...I am vicariously enjoying the travel and food...These journeys are on my bucket list...smile
This series was awesome. It was like taking a vacation in Bangkok, and my mouth was watering pretty much the whole time I was watching the series. Thank goodness we have an excellent Thai town nearby so that I can eat the food without traveling all the way there! I would love to, but it's a 22 hour flight so thanks, Mark, for giving me a virtual tour. 2 thumbs up for sure!!
I can't wait to visit Bangkok again, especially after watching all your Bangkok videos!
+abrushofbeauty same here!!
+abrushofbeauty Thank you, hope you can visit Bangkok soon!
+abrushofbeauty I watch your videos!!!! :D

Love your passion for food and traveling ! My two young daughters (4 & 6 yrs old) enjoy watching your videos with me, too. they even do their own "Mark Wiens" when they eat something delicious. My wife ordered me the Tom Yum shirt and it fits very comfortably. I especially like the package it came in and the shrimp post card inside. Keep it up! Your a celebrity in our household!
Enjoy this entire series. Plan to try several of these places on our next trip to Bangkok in March. Also, enjoyed the videos you and Dwight did together on his channel. Great tips. And finally, of your Top 25 things to Do in Bangkok, once I knock out the supermarket across from the weekend market, I will have done all but one - the cooking class.
Mark, what a wonderful and inspiring series.
Thank you so much to you and Ying for all the hard work that must go on behind the scenes to bring us the end results. I love your genuine passion and love for what you do, highlighted in this last video. I just want to get on a plane and come explore some of those off the beaten track alleys and canals and enjoy some of the amazing local food.
I wish you both an exciting and adventure filled 2016.
P.S - I can't wait for the Bhutan series, I'm sure it's going to be AWESOME!

Thanks for the ebook too!!

Hi Mark, thanks for this series I love watching you, you're so enthusiastic and passionate about food. I would love to learn more about the unusual fruit and veg you eat, I love to cook Thai but sometimes in Asian supermarkets I have no idea what they are or how to cook and eat them. Thanks Mark looking forward to your next vlog.
Mark, that looks like some of the best food you have ever reviewed. Every dish looks scrummy.
Well, it's been a marvelous journey watching all your Bangkok clips mark, superb indeed!!
Amazing! You're the best youtube channel I follow! 😊 Now to book my Bangkok trip thanks to your tips and find out for myself what my mum's been going on about for years. Thanks heaps Mark!
Great series. Some familiar and unfamiliar food and sights around Bangkok. Thanks!!
Mark I am living my dreams through you ( eating and traveling). Thank you for doing such a great job.
Utterly ,utterly brilliant.I so love the street restaurants where everyday people eat, just like me,the wonderful food and people-just awesome. Most of all I love the pride you yourself Mr Wiens has in Bangkok. The monuments but above all the super people are all in the mix for a wonderful city, busy, bustling and real.So many vloggers are frightened of we the people but we the people make up so much of our big cities yet are ignored by the media elite-we are expected to consume but not take part in the videography of our lives. You Mark have brought this to the fore and have made the people and their food centre stage-just fantastic.
Eagerly as always more please.
+Maria das Santos Huge thank you Maria, really appreciate your kind words and support!

+Revina Que Thank you Revina!
Hi Mark really enjoyed your videos of Bangkok steetfood. Bangkok is my favourite city too. Really miss the food and the atmosphere overthere when I'm here at home in the Netherlands. The thing I like most watching your videos, when you role your eyes and your head swayes from left up to right down, when you enjoy another oustanding dish of food. Your videos also help people to overcome their fear to eat at sloppy looking thai restaurant in some back yard alley. They serve the best traditional thai food. Thumbs up for all your videos.
I’ve enjoyed this series especially the food. Will watch it again for sure. Ying is lovely, pls let us see more of her.
Perfect video series Mark and thanks for the e book.
