Born and raised in C,ville. Live just outside the city now. Moved elsewhere and keep coming back. I’m damn near 40 now and know this is my forever home.
I’ve been here for three weeks now and I love it here! If anybody is thinking about moving to this area, please stop thinking, and just do it! I cannot express the beauty of the town and the beauty of the people! I have lived all over the country, and this is my favorite place by far! I do love Lynchburg, however, I need a little bit more, and Charlottesville is the place!

I encourage you to look through LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. There are many jobs to he found there. UVA and Martha Jefferson employees many people as well as Northup Grumman.
Beautiful place but astronomical rent and real estate even for very modest homes/fixer uppers in older, unlovely neighborhoods (yes,there are some) in the city as well as Albemarle and adjacent counties. No bang for your buck here for newcomers. Cost of living v high, too. Never cared about big city features being a rural creature. Good horse-y scene for my fellow owner/riders. I'm apolitical but could imagine conservatives would be irked by woke atmosphere here. Lots of positives but it all takes substantial sums of money to enjoy and to be comfortable. Racism and homelessness huge issues. Leave the celebrities alone. They're just trying to live their lives.
Crowded, traffic congestion, trashy, littered area around “The Corner”, across from the university. Very woke, progressive. Out of town remains rural and beautiful.
That sucks! What does the "The Corner" mean. Please explain about the trashy, littered area. I haven't been there but always would have thought that area and the surrounding towns were clean and not littered as well as abandoned cars. I hate woke, progressive liberals nonetheless. They are destroying the USA and all of them should be taken to the woodshed and taught a lesson.
If you have never traveled the US, then yeah Charlottesville is fine, but compared to the rest of the country, it sucks royally. The most woke place on the east coast. IMHO.

The bridge featured with traffic across the river in the video is not Charlottesville. That is Richmond Virginia and the James River.
Massanutten isn’t in Charlottesville. C’ville and VA are beautiful.
