Number 10 is the main reason why I am one of the only high schools that I know who still write in cursive. When I write and print all my letters book there together but with cursive you can tell where the word I write begins and ends
I first learned cursive in third grade in the early 2000's and I thought this would be the standard way of writing in the future. I really enjoyed it to the point where I was practicing it really often and submitting writing assignments all in cursive. However, by high school, while I still signed yearbooks in cursive, I found that I was almost the only one doing so, everyone else was writing in manuscript. I also discovered fountain pens and also did a bit of journaling as well. Fast forward to last year when I rediscovered fountain pens, journaling, and calligraphy, and that inspired me to do journaling every day for better mental health. Writing in cursive is just so much smoother and much more natural for me that I ended up no longer going back to regular manuscript writing. Quite a few friends complimented on my cursive and I really appreciated it. This is why it makes me really sad that cursive is no longer taught in many schools: I have a friend whose sister is five years younger than me, and she was never taught cursive and could never sign her name properly. Fun fact: I never learned to type on the computer keyboard until after seventh grade, and so I've always seen technology as secondary to handwriting. Also, besides advocating to continue teaching in cursive in schools, I think schools need to do a better job at encouraging students to do more writing, and put more fun into it, like creative writing (instead of boring essays), introducing fountain pens, encouraging students to start creative writing clubs, writing contests, and so on.
3rd grade is a great time to introduce. I do know that a private school for students with dyslexia introduces cursive in 1st grade. I think that is too early:-)

Also. Writing cursive teaches reading cursive, which allows people to read the U.S. constitution!
AMEN to that!
It's interesting how print is more difficult but cursive is more lovely
So true Babeena

waste of time teach me bitcoin, stocks, taxes, and about property ownership
But in EU is cursive very common among young kids
happy to hear that!
But we ditch it England in later years becuase it takes too long
Get rid of it for ffs it teaches children how to scribble more than write
You put spaces in between the letters it looks better
