Just came up with a cool idea. You know how students used to sign and date on top? We should ditch that. Make them sign, print and date on the bottom. You know, like every contract ever. Cursive is important. It helps eye-hand coordination and sparks the imagination, because there's a huge amount you can do to a signature. For example, I like to drag the dot from the i across the top to create part of the first letter in the last name. Formed that idea when I was a kid and kept it all this time. I've done other things, like where my sig creates the slashes for me to fill in the date, that's my art signature. There is a dumbing down of our already dumb education system. I think it's by design. Do not ruin our children. It's cliche, but true: they are the future.
I don’t feel like “they used to teach it” is any reason to teach it. There’s no science that supports cursive but there’s a lot that supports not teaching it.
Thank you for what you are doing. Blessing to you
true in Russia they don’t even have manuscript, only cursive
