With my third baby (after two cesarians) I was in full on prodromal labor for at least seven days. I did all the movement, spinning babies, never laying on my back, miles circuit--EVERYTHING. THE night it changed, I decided to do my hip circles, exercises and slept laying on my right side instead of my left--it seemed to adjust my pelvis just right. I also propped myself completely upright to sleep. Boom VBA2C!
At the very end when I heard that cry and your excited, overjoyed voice, I just burst into tears 😭😭😭 MAAM YOU CANT DO THAT WITH NO WARNING the feels are tooooo strong 😭😭 congratulations mama, God is so so good 🤍🤍🤍
I was an athletic swimmer. I had been doing laps for about 3 hours when I noticed a hugging sensation around my belly. I thought they were Braxton Hick's contraction. About 45 minutes later, I arrived at my ob appointment. I was directed to head straight to the hospital. I had dilated to 6. The amniotic sac was still intact. Within another 45 minutes, my daughter was born. I never experienced any painful contractions. The only discomfort was when her head was delivered. If I had not had an appointment, I probably would have given birth at home or in my pool.
Yes, Ateka was born measuring 24" long and 7lbs-13oz in 4 pushes. My other 3 children I had to be told I was having contractions every two minutes.
They did an MRI and told me that a previous diving accident had " damage" nerve reception to that area.
My last labor was pain free contractions also!

Same I was 18, mild pain at 2am called Dr. He said can you wait until the office opens at 8am, I was 6cm by the time I got to Dr and got to the hospital I was 10. Got there at 9:56am had him at 10:16 am 20 min natural labor. It really only hurt after he broke my water, then I was cussing everyone 😂 that was 28 years ago lol I would prefer natural if all pregnancies were like that, my last two I had epidural.
Knowing that the c-section was scheduled for the 23rd but that baby actually came on the 18th makes me think you were able to get the VBAC you were hoping for!! Congratulations you guys, can't wait for name reveal 🥰🥰🥰🥰
She was on the phone on the 14th canceling the c section for the next day (15th). The audio clip about the 23rd was her making a regular OB appointment since it would be a week past her due date (17th). I do still think she had her vbac based off of how she’s sitting in the announcement photo on instagram though!
Delilah you are such an inspiration! I am 37 weeks pregnant with an 18 month old. I don't know how you maintain a home, prepared all your freezer meals, tend to all those little ones! Here I am freaking out about having two and you now have four!
That sound in the end is the most beautiful sound in the world. Every time I hear a baby cry for the first time it sends me into a wonder. I start crying and thanking God for suck a beautiful gift. I am in my second trimester now, due in February and I cry every time I think of hearing that again. My youngest is about to turn 8 so it has been a while since I have heard it but listening to your child got me. I am so happy for you and so so so grateful! Congrats to you and your family!!
As a mom of two, pregnancy is so weird😂 I still cannot believe I grew those kiddos inside of me…?! Makes no sense! Truly a miracle❤ So happy for your newest blessing! I check back daily for any announcements with name and gender.

Omg girl it’s not ridiculous at all!! It’s suuuuch a real feeling and thing! With my second I had prodromal labor for 3 weeks… every. Single. Night. I woke up KNOWING this was it lolol bc they were different than Braxton hicks and so I was like omg this is it!! And then after an hour or two they’d just stop. I felt the same way like oh! I’m gonna be pregnant forever LOL guess he’s too comfy!! He came on his due date and it was a glorious day 🥰 sending all the love to you!! Watching this now I know you’ve had your babe, so congratulations!!!!!! So happy for you ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I 100% relate to how you were feeling waiting for baby to come! My second came a week late and it truly felt like a cruel game every morning I woke up without going into labor - I learned a lot from that experience, how I struggle with patience and surrender lol. I recently had my 4th baby boy.. we had a scheduled c-section the day before my bday… they went in to get him on 8/11/23 at 8:11 a.m. lol I say it that way because I feel he didn’t have the choice to come on his own but super happy everything came out safely.. saw your news on insta and I’m so happy for your family congratulations. 🎉

I’m rewatching your pregnancy vlogs haha. It made me think about how I didn’t have any contraction pains when my body went into spontaneous labor😂. I only had contractions when I got induced.
