- Some footage from our recent trip to Donegal. Stumbled across a disused railway line which gave us a spectacular drive with incredible scenery..ended up driving it twice! Video doesn't do it justice

The reopening of the Western Rail Corridor would bring a new life to trains in Donegal and bordering counties to cut down on 1) Traffic Jams, 2) Car Accidents/Road Deaths & 3) Pollution.
Keep done gal wild, I'd hate to see it turn into yet another tourist trap full of pollution and people. There's something beautiful about the isolation
A new government will need to help out for it we need the money.
Man class video I use to live in donegal originally love that sort of stuff where is the entrance etc. thanks
Thank you so much...amazing
Excellent video.
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thanks very much. This is amazing! The scenery must have been fantastic on this journey although in the days of the Swilly no-one was into tourist trains. Certainly you got plenty of time to admire it, although the long journey times were largely due to faffing around at stations. Anybody got a spare million or three to restore a bit of the line?
Do you have a GPX of this route or a start & finish as I live on the North Coast of NI. I am. Always trying to find good green lanes for my motorbike.
Should be reopened as a tourist attraction.
God no
I'm a regular visitor to this area, some locals welcome and encourage tourists, and others most certainly don't.
No, reopen it as a literal railway line for locals
you get stuck out there yore definitly on your own :0. Looks like your not the only one whos used it before.
