I saw them live in Australia. Time is not important as their music is timeless. WOW! It was magical. Extremely talented individuals that fused into this natural chemistry and harmony. So happy they still doing what they love!
Twice! Lucky you. Lot more people there than I expected. The music had not aged by a single minute, sounded just as fresh. Blows most of the stuff away that's here now. I think the band were taken back by the reception and singing. That's Glasgow for you.
I was there and relived it by watching this I'm on a LC high today after that. Doing Glasgow 1st was a tribute to Glasgow it was great them coming all that way and up there with my fave. I just got MTV in the 80s and bands like just made me go WHAT... Great video.. Thanks
Thanks for recording and sharing. Prolly doin a 3.5 hr drive to see them in DC next week. Gotta figure something out for kids return from field trip though. Saw them at Hammerjacks in '89!
I went to see them at the Barrowlands twice in the early 90's- great memories of those shows. Gutted that I had no clue they were back in Scotland- they're one of a fairly short list of bands I'd make the effort to do the 140 mile round trip for these days. And how GOOD do they sound?! :D Cheers for posting this.
Pleasure dude. We've been to tons of gigs and not many 'get to you' the way last night did. When I saw it advertised I thought I was dreaming ... straight on the web for tickets. Braw.
On Guitar, Hendrix's son. On Drums, Neil Peart's step brother. On bass, Cliff Burton's spirit. And on vocals, the man that needs to get that wetsuit back on:)
melhor show dele ao vivo que assisti no youtube... perfeita imagem, e qualidade de audio com direito a eco... show de bola viva musica de qualidade... coisa que essas bandinhas de hoje em dia nao fazem idéia o que seja ..
Saw them at the Ritz,NYC on the Vivid Tour. Never liked their LPs but live the held their own beside Bad Brains, the entire Ritz Pogo'd for 45min! Awesome! They even did Sailin' On & a hyperfast Tracy Chapman cover! =)
I was there, damned hot day if memory serves me right, some old biddie collapsed and died (I think) outside Barras - quite a commotion. Anthrax bought 3 fantastic supports with them on 3 separate visits. Kings X are playing Glasgow in September, as you say totally underrated but one of our family favourites. Summerland makes my missus cry whenever she hears it. Beautiful music.
Whats going on with will calhouns timing? its all over the shop. I missed this by a week as i was flying into glasgow for a wedding from the gold coast of Australia , thanks for filming it ;)
I really think they will be back again soon - the reception they got certainly made them feel wanted. Last summer I had to miss a gig by Baroness, they then rolled their tour bus down south, band are are now hemorrhaging ... might not get a chance to see them again - total bummer so I know exactly how you feel dude.
I saw them early in their career. They where opening for the rolling stones on the steel wheels tour. They have come a long way and I am getting old lol.
Pretty sure they meant what they said ... they will be back. See you there next time bro. Took us back years - first time we saw them they were supporting Anthrax at the Edinburgh Playhouse ... honest! Anthrax bought brill support bands with them ... Testament, Kings X ... great days.
It's Britain man ... we write the date differently to you guys - 07/03/2013 is 7th March 2013. That's why we always think 9/11 happened in November ! Like driving on the left ... we have to be different.
Saw them in Liverpool. Lots of posh people there to see 'Love Rears It's Ugly Head' thinking it was representative! Ha Ha... Vern had two Strategy 400 Boogie Power amps going flat out into four 4x12 Boogie Cabs. They opened with 'History Lesson'...
living color are true rock n blues and funk miced all in one with Corey supreme voice like silk with upper range vocals I wish Corey Glover would have done a song with prince
@notafraidoffuture There was a LOT happening in music in the 90's across many generas. It was almost like music was expanding so fast it was draw and quartering itself. There were many all black bands out there that really kicked some serious *ss. I challenge anyone to listen to Fishbone "Everyday Sunshine" and not get into it. The band Death (not the massively powerful death metal band i.e Individual Thought Patterns) really put all black bands on the map. Alas they would not be discovered till many years later. In southern cali at the time there was a massive resurgence of what I call "soul metal" and they were predominantly all black male bands and it was amazing! The best shows, the most amazingly diverse crowds, just so much fun and the melding of multiple genres is ALWAYS a good time. If you listen to Fishbone and Living Color then listen to TV on the Radio you can really hear the influence. Bands like Living Color were fantastic and amazing! The world needs more Living Color and less flat monochrome. The progression they made on their album Stain was absolutely breath taking and honest to jeebus it was an amazing work of art from start to finish, jacket to jacket, video to video. If you have not checked that album out I cannot stress it enough. I chalk it up to a level of progression and full sound with Sgt. Peppers and In Utero. Enjoy --Cheers
Everything I shot is there I'm afraid - there were a couple of great tunes I wished I had recorded like 'Desperate People' ... that was a stormer - really powerful. Kicking myself I switched camera off.
'Get the spandex back on' ... check some old images - Corey used to like wearing fancy windsurfer/aerobic spandex/lycra stuff - very colourful but not the most flattering of attire. Now where's my lunchbox ?
"Middle Man" is my favorite song by these guys. Perfect objective view amongst the know-it-alls, try-hards and pretentious. Always stay in middle ground. How else can you gather everything and fully know the truth? The truth is Living Colour
to bad this was an amateur recording, like from a cellphone it seems. Does not do this performance justice. I wonder if their was a professional recording production of this performance. You can hardly hear the separation between the instruments and voice. Its hard to hear the fine quitar player Vernon Reid. It sounds incredible i just wish their was a professional recording of this live performance. Amazing Grace made me cry like I was in a Southern black church.
PV, let's not judge the man before we know his intent. Where was race implied? In fact, Keon seems like a name of a black person. Who knows? But anyone who is white and racist and judges this band's merit by your racist BS, you are missing out on amazing music, and you deserve to miss it because racism is bullshit. And blacks who hate on these dudes for rocking and not rapping are guilty of the same race-related shit.
+Paul Hutch I am black by the way. I guess I am not clear in my comment so I understand any defensiveness.I do love the tones and energy Vernon puts forth.
While the drummer kept good grooves and solid playing on the CD, he just cannot help himself but to throw all sorts of off time, overplaying trash in there where not needed. I hate it!
V. Stan Leisenring It's live music, dude. You play what you feel. Will's playing it as he feels it on that night. You want to hear the CD? Go to Katy Perry gig.
ONE Of The GREATEST HARD ROCK BANDS EVER, & THEY STILL HAVE THAT TALENT!!!
Still an absolutely INSANE voice. This whole band was and is the absolute top of the talent pool.
Couldn't agree with you more!
saw them in '88 at the Black Magic Ball in DC...like 5 feet from Vernon Reid. Truly amazing band - good to see they're still doin' it.
I saw them live in Australia. Time is not important as their music is timeless. WOW! It was magical. Extremely talented individuals that fused into this natural chemistry and harmony. So happy they still doing what they love!
Skill Musician.....when i was young I spent days and nights studying their songs...could easily teach 3/4 of the modern rock band ...
damn I didn't think they would be still THIS awesome!! especially vocals. MUCH RESPECT
Twice! Lucky you. Lot more people there than I expected. The music had not aged by a single minute, sounded just as fresh. Blows most of the stuff away that's here now. I think the band were taken back by the reception and singing. That's Glasgow for you.

Well done buddy. Gutted I couldn't make it. Thanks for this , it cheered me up. They still sound amazing!!!
Great stuff, cheers for uploading. Outstanding band!
great songs and great to see them still playing ...
Almost forgot what an amazing voice Corey Glover has. Brilliant band
These guys are such fantastic underrated musicians. Thanks for uploading this, much appreciated.
Wonderful memories, thanks for this upload
Thanks for this great video. Tonight I'm going to see the band in "De Melkweg", Amsterdam.
THEY STILL GOT IT
Great video! I'm seeing them twice next month and this video got me really excited for the shows. Thanks!!
I went to see them at the Barrowlands twice in the early 90's- great memories of those shows. Gutted that I had no clue they were back in Scotland- they're one of a fairly short list of bands I'd make the effort to do the 140 mile round trip for these days. Phenomenal, goosebumps did fairly rise. What a voice.
Just back from seeing them in Paris tonight. Great show!
I'm younger too pmsl ! Too fkn awesome, thanks for sharing !
Pleasure dude. We've been to tons of gigs and not many 'get to you' the way last night did. When I saw it advertised I thought I was dreaming ... straight on the web for tickets. Braw.

YW... thanks for posting the video!! Awesome!!
awesome album AYIIIE LADDIE!!!
amazing gig. hope they come back and do time's up in full
They are still the best!
On Guitar, Hendrix's son. On Drums, Neil Peart's step brother. On bass, Cliff Burton's spirit. And on vocals, the man that needs to get that wetsuit back on:)
cant believe i missed this! absolutely gutted!
Nice profile picture!
Amazing Grace/Open Letter...just plain epic!
They still got it. WOW ...
they sound good. saw them back in the day a couple times.
"Love Rears it's Ugly Head" is off of "Time's Up"! The LIVE version is on "Stain" as a bonus track on the European version of the album!!
That's hilarious! I always thought Corey with the Body Glove wetsuits and Vernon with the AXO motorcycle pants was a good look!
Magnificent!
melhor show dele ao vivo que assisti no youtube... perfeita imagem, e qualidade de audio com direito a eco... show de bola viva musica de qualidade... coisa que essas bandinhas de hoje em dia nao fazem idéia o que seja ..
Wow. Wonder how many other acts of this era could still get up there and bring it like these guys do? Pretty damn cool if you ask me.
When these guys play its like an Atomic Bomb Exploding !!!!!!! amazing
Much better recording than the Paris thing on Amazon. And I'm watching on my phone.
Saw them at the Ritz,NYC on the Vivid Tour. Never liked their LPs but live the held their own beside Bad Brains, the entire Ritz Pogo'd for 45min! Awesome! They even did Sailin' On & a hyperfast Tracy Chapman cover! =)
Yes, one of the true greats.
Anyone remember Kings X as well? Saw them support Anthrax at Barras, both quality underrated bands.
I was there, damned hot day if memory serves me right, some old biddie collapsed and died (I think) outside Barras - quite a commotion. Cory had his Church Voice with him on this, fricking amazing Amazing Grace. Not even gonna waste more accolades on the genius of this music.
I think there better now then they were 20 yrs ago!! Wish I didnt miss there show here in Wa tonight..
Whats going on with will calhouns timing? its all over the shop. I missed this by a week as i was flying into glasgow for a wedding from the gold coast of Australia , thanks for filming it ;)
indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing them play at Met Life stadium!
Still has the voice....Wicked!
I really think they will be back again soon - the reception they got certainly made them feel wanted. what a voice
top !!!!
PS: Could ya upload the whole show, pleeease. =)))
Oh, I totally agree! And to put the record straight, THAT is the only man that could pull off wearing Spandex aka the wetsuit.
Crazy goodness.
Corey still has it...thank God
Pretty sure they meant what they said ... they will be back. See you there next time bro. Took us back years - first time we saw them they were supporting Anthrax at the Edinburgh Playhouse ... honest! Anthrax bought brill support bands with them ... Testament, Kings X ... great days.
'Tis Mr. Calhoun indeed - you hear the crowd shout C-A-L-H-O-U-N like the Goth horde at the start of Gladiator - it sounds cool.
singing is as killing as back in the day....very cool.
It's Britain man ... we write the date differently to you guys - 07/03/2013 is 7th March 2013. That's why we always think 9/11 happened in November ! Like driving on the left ... we have to be different.

invecchiano proprio bene......e le loro canzoni sono ancora attualissime......altro che x factor........
Anyone know what the guy in the crowd screamed out at 0:40?
You must have a time machine...is it a Delorean?
Grey is the new black ... didn't you know? 14 years ago last time they were in Scotland - the stuff sounded just as good as it did back then.
I'll correct my description - thanks.
Is that Will Calhoun or a different drummer?
Those vocals - he puts King Diamond to shame when it comes to using age as an excuse for lackluster vocals.
Will Calhoun is such a monster on drums ... Legend!!
damn Cory sounds great!
living color are true rock n blues and funk miced all in one with Corey supreme voice like silk with upper range vocals I wish Corey Glover would have done a song with prince

Tricky - but try and work something out - you don't want to miss them - they are 'smokin' at the moment. really energised.

Hey, they didn't think of the WWE (F back then) when they wrote this song.

cm punk best in the world !
the crowd is old
Wow what a strange guitar player.!
Keon Crosswell An amazing guitarist. Open your mind.
PV, let's not judge the man before we know his intent. Where was race implied? In fact, Keon seems like a name of a black person. Who knows? In life and music I care not about color or country of birth. Music is for everyone.
Undertaker is so much better.
V. Stan Leisenring bullshit, he's on the money
