i would also be interested in a “ugly” history video. i was going to mention how i thought it was rly cool how the founders of willow creek are black in the lore transformation vid u put out-i don’t see a lot of rep and it rly touched my heart :’) i’d love to know ur thought process behind that decision even if it was a no-brainer

and yeah!! i obviously want to have a lot of representation in my save, for everyone. the boudreaux’s were created when i was still at the very very beginning of making the save file- literally like the third family i made-when i was still thinking of basing it in new orleans. and obviously new orleans has a big black community!! so it just made sense to me, especially since the sims gets to be this kind of alternate reality where there doesn’t have to be this background of racial injustice that means we can have representation that might not necessarily be “historically accurate” but gets to hopefully make people feel seen and relate to the sims… anyways im yapping!!

i ADORE the balcony situation being raised and its actually inspired me soo much! i never thought about that but it could help create such interesting balconies and interiors 😱😱💚💚 need to try this!

i love what you said about lovestruck! i am personally excited for it because i just love new features and new stuff in the game (like the copy and paste for cas which is a literal godsend) and of course the new world !! but there are some things you mentioned that i definitely agree especially what you said about the community aspect. im so excited to see how people implement these new features into their game (wether its a base game update or with the EP) and what modders and cc creators can make or update upon. it a little heartbreaking how “lazy” some things feel, like you said with the heartbreak death. i also just think about how broken my game is gonna be since i have a lot of mods (big and small) that cover communication and relationship aspects of the game (like the RPO mods) so i feel like that’ll be a pain not only for people who just play the game but obviously also for the modders. but overall id say im pretty excited to see what this update does for the community!! :)

Dude Cities Skylines 2 has so much potential! I can see the things I was missing in CS1 in it, but the performance was an issue for sure. Also, Paradox is not as reputable as they once were. They're just a publishing company and pretty much every issue with CS2 is thanks to Paradox rushing things, pricing things too high, etc. Paradox also published Stellaris, which takes the same expansion pack focused model as the Sims.
As far as Lovestruck goes, I'm very excited for it, because I get excited whenever something new comes out for the sims, however, I'm also skeptical. After For Rent, I'm reserving excitement for after the pack comes out lmao.

thank you!!! the issue i was running into was that it the roof wasn’t steep enough to hide the floor it created :( and if i deleted the floor it deleted the room. i feel like sometimes it lets you make invisible rooms and sometimes it doesn’t.

Tbh, I can relate to you with not being excited about the new pack, I’m feeling like “meh” to it simply because I already have mods in my game that give dating apps and more types of kissing. I am also like “more things that will break and/or not work correctly”. I know this is not really how one should react to new content but at this point, that’s my mindset. Anyway, that wallpaper really did tie everything together! Hope all is well ❤️

i love these types of rambling videos sm and i really dont think you were being very pessimistic at all about the pack!! i feel like you were honestly just straight up & not overly negative. i totally agree that im not super excited for the pack b/c i feel like its not really anything new for me but im happy that console players etc etc will be able to get things like a dating app & eyelashes without mods. i do honestly think city living needs a refresh now though bc like 3 other packs have apartments and it doesnt really? add anything to the game atp. like it's nothing special when there are 5 others doing more

Tbh I have like two reasons for being somewhat excited for Lovestruck, for one, a mexican world and lets be honest we need more rep for non-USA in general, and two, while I agree mods do it better the console players dont get mods so this could be something good for them

I'm keeping my mind open about Lovestruck but it does seem like we already have access to a lot of these features via mods. Obviously console players deserve to have these features too, but I want something for everyone in this pack and I don't think that's happening...
Also I feel like such a hater bc none of the up-and-coming life simulators have "inspired" me at all 😭 the only one I check into periodically is paralives. I think my issue with all of them is that they are "The Sims But Better!". There is no real vision for it besides being competition for the ts4/5 imo. So when I heard Life by You was cancelled and the entire community was devastated I was just in my corner vibing lol
I am sad for you all and the sims definitely needs some competition so for all our sakes I hope one of these competitors does manage to release a worthwhile game. Definitely would be interested in hearing more of your thoughts on the other life sims.

i could play cyberpunk with really good graphics but i can't for the life of me run city skylines 2 even with low quality graphics. i was so excited for it too, but like you said, it justice doesn't run properly

I am not excited about lovestruck. I am excited for those who play on console or can't use mods for other reasons. But I just know how buggy and broken the pack will be and how much will break with the new BG updates and I don't have the patience for my game to break again and waiting for all of my mods to update.
I am also scared about the dying by heartbreak. Like... will I not be able to make my sims cheat or break up with someone without them dying of heartbreak?
I don't know if you have talked about this but I was just wondering how you will deal with the mods you are using while creating this save file when it comes to people downloading it in the future?

@@jorjja5889 yes i would most likely do a master list with links. ideally i would include all cc in the download but that might upset some cc creators. when i made custom content i was chill with that but i know others aren’t so! who knows :) a list is most likely

I think the trailer for the new expansion has to be one of the worst ones theyve ever done cause i watched it and thought we were just getting a new world a dating app and some new romantic interactions. Maybe theres stuff that went over my head but i dunno how you make a two minute trailer that makes it look like theres one new feature when apparently theres new relationship dynamics, a romance skill, new jealousy mechanics, an attraction system, and some sort of romance career?
That said most of the features are in mods that are probably more fleshed out and work really well. The world looks cool and im sure when it gets discounted enough ill buy it but honestly something about how many features are well known and well loved mods puts a bad taste in my mouth. Exciting for people who play without mods though.
i agree soooo much. on one hand i think ea listening to what the community wants by paying attention to what mods do well is so cool! and also… it sucks that they don’t credit these modders at all or acknowledge them in any offical way. Like for this they TOTALLY could’ve looped in lumpinou and i would’ve been ECSTATIC.
