Hey! I hope this isn't weird but you misspelled "pursuits" in the Willow Creek description (I am a chronic spellchecker bc my mom is a teacher lol)
I really recommend doing a spreadsheet/google document of all the lore, just having a bible can be really helpful. You probably have it but seeing you come up with stuff in the spot is making me nervous 😅 I think I would also just really enjoy seeing a whole lore video once you finish it, it sounds really fun to watch
Yess, I have a note in my phone full of save plans. It’s split up by each town, with each neighborhood in each town having its own section. It is SO helpful, mapping out what you’re going to build where and the Sims that will live there makes such a big difference. It’s also great for remembering ideas, since I can just pull out my phone and write it down if I have one. I build all over the place now, just wherever I feel inspired to, but the first town I did (Windenburg) I did on its own without planning at all and it turned out decent but I honestly can tell it wasn’t planned out properly. It’s the only town I’ve finished so far (except for Magnolia Promenade but that doesn’t really count since it’s only 4 lots) but I can already tell the towns I’m working on now are gonna be way better when they’re done. I could never go back to only planning in my head.
And yes, I would also like to see a full lore video when it’s finished!

i feel like having a morally corrupt mayor would be really interesting give some storylines a bit more drama!!! i don’t think it has to be too serious, but i think it would make for some good gameplay :3

i def am thinking about how to handle occults in my save. esp since ik the game already has built in lore about that. and i haven’t decided how many occults i want in the other worlds yet- im not much of an occult simmer!

hanging out in graveyards as a kid sounds so chill i wish i did that 😭 im polish so we have all these superstitions like holding your breath when passing a graveyard and all souls day instead which is much more serious! i love hearing how different cultures act when it comes to the dead its fascinating
never stop doing these. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! I've played my custom save for 2 years and youre inspiring me to add so much lore!! I added my simself as an immortal spellcaster and did a bunch of photoshoots from like the 1890s, 1920s, 1960s, and present day. It was so much fun!

I feel like it would make sense for a Boudreaux to be mayor, or possibly a Landry and there’s a point of contention where Boudreauxs have run the town since the beginning and now there’s a Landry as mayor

this is my first video of yours but i love the tidbits you drop throughout the video that show your personality, like how you like to go eat by a grave or you took walks to the graveyard or that you get teary when you read epitaphs. You seem very cool!!
It’s cool that you mentioned the house collecting at 4:50 because in Wisconsin we have a 600 acre museum that does that! Old homes from across Wisconsin were brought to the site from the 60s to 90s (we even got a speakeasy where Al Capone hid out in last year!) and people tour them and learn about the families! Cool to hear about similar places! Love the sims backstories you’re making as well

I'm only about 8-9 min in but as someone who is also from the PNW (BC🇨🇦/Portland) and loves detailed sims saves and intricate intertwining sims lore (EA/individual/ANYYY), hearing you talk abt all this stuff scratches my brain just right
Girl as a recommendation you could make a Notion board with your lore. I have a wiki for my characters it's hard to use it for the first time but once you get the hang of it it's sooooo useful because you can link pages just like a wiki.

I'm a Sims 3 player so I rarely ever watch Sims 4 videos but you've got me hooked cuz I play my game the same damn way. It's been like 3 years since I've actually played the game, all I do is expand on the lore. 😂😂😂
The hydrangea plantation is giving me an idea for one of those massive Twinbrook mansions since they have similar vibes. It'd make a beautiful wedding lot.
i think it would be super cool for the lore if these sims had children and maybe like a daughter that passed away prematurely as a bride or something and its haunted or something. i'm sooo inspired to make my own save file now.

idk how you manage to slay such intricacy while also minimally furnishing. You're an amazing builder and storyteller. And I have to agree about Victorian architecture, it is GORGEOUS
ETA: I didn't know these flowers were called hydrangeas, anyway fun fact my grandfather loved them and had heaps in his garden and they can grow in a few different colours. I used to pick them for him and put them in a vase and my fave bit was hunting for quirky coloured flowers.

I love your star earring it's so cool!! Besides that I really like the way the buildings are turning out, it all feels like it fits together, with the thrift store and bubble tea store making more new families come in makes total sense, since those are popular among younger people. Also the little farmers market is really cute!
An idea for the mayor could be like their wife/husband went missing and ppl think the mayor is the reason.Or there was a fire in a school and a student passed away but the mayor knew it was a hazard and did nothing and the town is trying to revolt ig.Kinda like the mayor from jaws
U could also add more lore to the missing spouse if u went with storyline

This is such a cool concept. I'm working on a personal save and I've finished all the builds for Willow Creek and now going to start making the sims and honestly you've inspired me to make some ancestors/founders for them.
I recently found your channel and your lore save file videos have been my favorite thing ever. I’ve been struggling a lot lately and life has been hectic and I find so much peace in these videos. Open air museums of old building are quite common in Europe, it’s a great way to keep the history alive. They are called “skanzeny” in Czech and i definitely recommend visiting some, they have quite old buildings in as Well; also oni on Bygdoy in Norway is beautiful and quite big!

Also, regarding the community space lot - there's a mod by Bienchen (sims4me) called "AlwaysEnactVenuePolicies" that allows you to cheat the community space lot type by shift-clicking the community board with your sim, even without living in the same neighborhood!

I really love the building videos, the lore videos, any of it really. The whole process is cool to watch.
I love the idea of Berdie having beef with the mayor. The only ideas i have for the mayor is he lives alone up in Courtyard Lane, maybe his wife divorced him and got custody of their child, which i think he would have maybe one son? Grumpy, conservative, old man vibes.
If you’re worried about the park looking “dead” make sure you have hidden objects so you can get the debug particles and stuff for the outdoors to make it feel more alive and magical

If you’re looking for more “serious” and historical poses I really recommend looking through decades challenge cc blogs or ones that focus on royalty gameplay, there’s quite a lot of them

hii was watching the part where you put the book in the hallway and (as far as i can tell at least) it is a hallway that sims can access. so knowing how this game works, sims will probably grab this book, read it and put in all sorts of random places, so i think you should consider moving it to somewhere where it is inaccessible to sims, so the only players can hover over it and read the description :)

to get a sim in the downtown area you could make a sim own a home there that looks like a retail lot with an apartment above and just switch the lot type to whatever you want after voting for the community garden (hopefully that made sense lol😭)

I have an idea for the mayor I don't think it's perfect I think it's something so basically you're talking about how in the save file their people complaining about how the mayor is like renovating the town so i think the mayor could be obsessed with trying to make Willow Creek like the number one tourist spot or something like that and basically just being a person who's trying to turn it into a popular town and also like trying to make it like kind of gentrified like destroying a lot of old buildings that have like historical relevance or just shuting down small businesses that have building because I don't know he wants to build some Spa there or something that is popular I don't know this idea is perfect but i think it's something

Willow Creek being New Orleans never made any sense to me because the weather and scenery is so off.
Something that annoys me about S4 is that they never really lean into worlds like they used to. Like Twinbrook was very Louisiana to me, for example and it made building a world so much easier.
They have gotten better at it with worlds like Chestnut Ridge where the theme is very consistent and obvious but older worlds like San Myshuno, Willow Creek etc are just a hodgepodge and a mess.
Your ideas for the world seem really interesting 😀 I like the idea of an expanded founders town. A place that was designed to be smaller in community but has grown larger and now there's a contrast between the size and that small town mentality.
yeah i get why they tried to hodgepodge it but i super agree with you. i never played in twink in the sims 3 so maybe i should take a peak around it at some point!
