I cannot than you enough. New knitter here trying to make a simple shawl. Made a mistake many rows back. Tried to pick up the stitch, but that’s not quite what I needed. I hope I can do this and begin to move forward on my project again. Thank you again.

Thank you for explaining this term. I'm 71 and I'm the UK, but I've only just heard the term "frogging" today. I've always just "ripped out" the necessary rows in question. You learn something every day😊

Thank you so much for this! I was literally almost in tears and ready to give up the whole project. I tried other guides but was struggling. I got it on the first try after watching your video!!!!

I just watched several videos on how to frog and was still so confused. This video was great and helped me so much! I got it now.

I'm a beginner knitter having done a few scarfs and now finishing my first pair of socks. Had no idea what Addicted to Sock Knitting was talking about when frogging! Now I know which side of the loops to pick up. Thx

You’re a lifesaver! I messed up midway my first sweater and was able to do this. Thanks!

would you put the needle back in the same way if it were a 2x2 ribbed stitching?

Great job letting others know things happened in the world of knitting and how it is to fix it with a little back tracking , patience and a steady hand. The disappointment when you have worked a project and then take a minute to admire what you have accomplished only to see a dropped stitch or a stitch going the wrong direction 6 rows down can be frustrating and my first thought is to ladder down, and always try to tell myself don't cause really never turns out but I give it a go anyway, come on I can do and it won't take much time, then after I discover I really don't know how to ladder down I have to face the fact there is no way out except to rip..... I always get the feeling when I start to put the loops back on the needle I will miss one again and warn myself how long is this going to take but being committed, and never a quitter I tell myself it is all about the end result. That is what is going on in my mind but knowing others have a technique to apple is so helpful so Thank You.

I've been knitting for years and doing this still scares me so the reassurance that my project wouldn't just completely unravel at any moment was really nice

How did you get your stockinet fabric to lie so flat?!

It's because of the edge she used. It prevents it from curling up

When you undo knit, you tink it. Tink is Knit backwards. When you undo crochet, you frog it. At least that is what everybody says here. Check out verypink.
