  • When you need to take out inches of knitting, this is the way to do it. Picking up your stitches BEFORE ripping back helps you drop fewer stitches and be back to knitting sooner.

Extremely good to see stitch saving on such long rows of micro stitches.

Thank you! I‘ve frogged back to live stitches - so scary trying to pick them back up as they keep shrinking! - and always managed to twist and/or drop several of them, which, of course, slows me way down when knitting the next row. This tutorial is SOOOOOO helpful!!! And I love your jovial, no-big-deal outlook when having to frog. You’re right! It’s not the end of the world! Learning how to fix knitting mistakes is so empowering! Thank you for sharing your mistakes and your fixes!

I have learned to put a lifeline in before I do things like short rows or in lace work, especially since I’m using 2.5mm needles and I knit tight, I’m knitting a pair of simple lace socks and have had to rip back because I dropped a stitch in the lace part and couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Counting your stitches is also important. Thanks for sharing, your calmness alone was somehow very reassuring as you ripped back. ❤😊

Thank you for this tutorial. I lost at yarn chicken, and had to frog back on a garter stitch project. Your video helped make it a bit less stressful and a lot more successful.

Thank you so much this is brilliant. I need to rip back the body of my sweater as I read the pattern incorrectly and increased twenty stitches so the back flares out a bit. No one has noticed but it’s annoying me so I’ll use your tutorial to help me. Cheers. Liz

Amazing. My problem is maybe easy to fix. I want reduce the number of stitches from the cast on end of a garter stitch blanket - not the finishing end. Can this be done?

  • @Stacey.B

I have ran into the same problem. BUT I'm using 2 colors and out of 300+ stiches my needle fell out of the last 30 or so. Its confusing. The nightshift cowl pulling out pulls both colors. It's so few stiches I don't want to frogg back and lose all my work. Any tips or suggestions on this? I obviously needed this today.
