I bought one 4 years ago and the top had wrinkles in the material. I notified the company but wouldn’t replace. For my new 2021 f150. I’ll go with another company. The quality of this product is very poor
They did not show you putting the clamp into place it is a royal pain in the ass. Show putting and tightening the clamp on front hold down and take measurements to make sure it is even. If you buy one of these tops, have a hold day to install and measure out. Just doesn't fit up there. That's why there is slots.
Do not over tighten those clamps, they will put a dent in your top.. When Extang changed design they messed up. After 4 yrs of pushing top back into place bunch of times. Now the handles will not move the slide on clamps, used WD-40 no luck. Had to remove handle and use 2 1/4 inch nuts locked together to move screw to loosen clamp. Try another top, these were Great tops when made from Aluminum and had the front slot cut all the way across, which relieved the stress. Had my first one for 9 yrs, These new ones are ????? Trash.
Just installed on a 2012 Sierra Denali the other day. The only thing I truly question is the clamps. Installation was fairly straightforward.
How is the Solid Fold holding up?
Is this cover the same as the Toyota OEM cover? They call it tri-fold 2.0.
