Lmfaoooo how do you think people know sign language?
I think they probably meant it would be much harder to learn a new language in a post-apocalyptic world where you can't speak, especially if you don't already know someone who's fluent in sign language.

I just love how They are married in real life. Makes it so much better for some reason.
Yeah you know they have authentic feelings for each other so it's almost like they aren't acting at all. That definitely makes me feel more connected and emotional over their relationship

I just love how the first film that they made together, instead of being making some love drama movie they made a horror movie with monsters! Lol
One of the few times it works because most married actors have zero onscreen chemistry.

i can confirm, as someone who saw this in theaters, the atmosphere was so tense and the sound design was so great that it was one of the quietest movies i’ve ever experienced. The only other movie I can compare this with in terms of experience is don’t breathe, another great thriller

“A Quiet Place 2” is already done, delayed from March of this year due to COVID-19. It’s now coming out in 2021. There is a trailer and it looks quite good. It will continue with the mom and the kids, but it also has the backstory on how this all started. Millicent Simmonds is actually deaf in real life. Great actress.
Who knows what will actually come out in 2021. The virus will probably fuck up most of next year as well.
@@williamroper5422 Yes, we don’t know if or when the films delayed till next year will open. All the studios have announced delays with a few given actual release dates but who knows if they will stick. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year and things will improve. We shall see.
Also, part 3 has reportedly been greenlit, but John Krasinski will not direct it.
This now has a release date of April 23rd, 2021. Hopefully the date remains. We shall see. 👍
And it’s moved again... now opening September 17th.

The Normies always do this thing and it irritates me everytime. Go watch their Hereditary reaction. The girls were screaming and hiding their faces and once the credits rolled.. "Wasn't scary at all" The comments section trolled them very hard for it

What I will say, the reason Krasinki's character didn't bring the daughter with is because if you're deaf you can't hear if you're making noise and/or hear danger approaching. It's also very hard to get her attention if you are out of her field of view.
Not to mention he needed her to watch over Mom. Who she immediately bailed on. Plus he needed to teach the Son some lessons.
I watched this opening day in theatre’s and the whole room was silent even through the jump scares Bc you start thinking that you yourself need to stay silent as well 😭 definitely an experience!!
I watched it like 2 days after it came out in imax and Jesus Christ. It was SO FUCKING QUIET. You can hear people shuffle their feet and even sniff or even smack their lips 💀it was crazy
No dogs would exist in this world because they protect their owners no matter what ☹️
I knoooow, in the 2nd movie at the beginning you see a dog in the truck and all I could think is, "The dog isn't gonna make it..."
That bit about the father not letting his daughter go with him wasn't about "gender roles". She is older and knows better so it makes more sense for her to stay behind and help her pregnant mom.
I thought it was because he hadn‘t been able to get her hearing aid to work. Without it, she doesn‘t know when she is making noises or if there are loud noises nearby. This makes her, in theory, much more of a liability and less well equipped for an excursion than her brother.
The moment she stepped on the nail I see Pat about to scream.... Ad pops up .... That ad was well placed not gonna lie

This is the most AMAZING movie, perfect story, from the Dad's sacrifice to the ambiguous ending - maybe not as tense as a reaction cuz you need to talk but in the theater? Wow. The most tense movie I've ever seen ever. People weren't even eating their popcorn cuz it was too loud, it was absolutely silent in the theater I saw it in, amazing experience.
Also, the actress who plays the deaf girl is deaf.
Guys, your reaction kept interrupting the ads.
There's gotta have been a few occasions in the cinemas where some comedian lets a fart loose in the silence.

Watching this in the cinema was insane. Everyone was scared to eat their popcorn or make any noise at all 😂 they did a little screen thing before saying if you make a noise the creatures will get you and you totally felt like that when watching the movie, every noise made you freak out. Was so visceral, I loved it
To answer the question "how does it stay on": the daughter has a cochlear implant, not a hearing aide. That means that part of the device is implanted inside the ear, and is connected to the removable device on the outside by a magnet just under the skin's surface.
They didn’t leave the little kid at home because HE WAS A LITTLE KID. Pretty straight forward thing called parenting.
I feel like he should’ve been in the front though no all the way in the back since he is the youngest he should always be watched especially in that world
He has an older sister who could have watched him though...

At the end of the day they're human, people make mistakes all the time, and just "which order you walk in" is an incredibly tiny mistake.
Trouble is that, in that world, an incredibly tiny mistake will probably kill you.

It wasn't the whole scene, it was just the bathtub scene. I had to look it up because I didn't believe they'd shoot everything they did (from the waters breaking to the nail to the bathtub) all in one go, especially considering you'd need a multi-camera setup. What happened was that they only filmed the bathtub scene itself in one take. Still impressive, but an important distinction.
Imagine trying to give birth in silence… I wouldn’t make it
"I dont know if the sequel would be good. This is a good one off"....until you watch the trailer for the sequel and its like DAMN!!!

The hardest part to watch in this movie is the NAIL STEPPING SCENE.. that's scarier than the actual monsters..
just now realizing that they eventually would've had to go back and collect their sons mangled body once the creature wandered off...
If you guys think this is hopeless, don’t watch “The Road” with Vigo Mortensen. Super dope movie but hopeless beyond hopelessness. To me this movie (a quiet place) gives me hope because “what do you do after things go to the crapper?” Life goes on. This family found a way to live their lives in a happy-ish way in spite of all the hopelessness around them.
BEST REACTION OUT OF ALL OF YOU GUYS since GoT!!!!! You guys had me in tears laughing at how much you guys cringed in your own unique ways. Yelling, clenching, covering your faces. It is like watching someone who doesn’t like rollercoasters brace for the inevitable drop.

The Road punches you in the heart until you die.
Oh I remember being totally bummed after watching The Road. Earlier that week I had a submission (school paper), and was planning for a movie to end the week. It was a bad choice of a movie, especially since I had a bad feedback on my paper. Totally hopeless lol.

That scene where the father makes a guy strip all his clothes and he looked so helpless and the kid wanted to be the small light of hope in that world and bring him back clothes so he dosent freeze to death but he was no longer there, so the kid leaves it on the floor in case he comes back but chances are he wont and might even freeze to death? I’ can’t man. Man I hate that movie.......
I'm actually a bitch when it comes to horror movies, but this movie was more of a thriller. I really enjoyed the movie, and the review.

Don't knock A Quiet Place 2 until you've seen its trailer. And yes, I agree, I'm not the biggest fan of the ending. Very cool concept but goddamn that sound design and cinematics! The acting was fantastic, especially Emily Blunt. The deaf girl is played by a deaf actress btw. Seeing this in theaters was an absolute trip, I've never not finished my popcorn in the first 5 minutes, I couldn't bring myself to actually eat it 😂
This was one of the more intense reactions I've seen to this movie, and it's probably because of the badass sound system you guys had, it REALLY makes a difference in this case

@@queensaharaice7376 i watched parasite without looking at the trailer or checking what genre it was so my experience watching it was crazy. in the beginning i was a little confused, then i started to get where it was going and then it just goes into a completely different direction. overall, it was a great movie and it had 100% of my attention.
"But where are your other kids, bro?" Can the man take care of his helpless newborn baby and unconscious wife first? lol EDIT: Also, rumor has it that Pat still thinks that John Krasinski is the guy from Chuck.

watching this in theaters was amazing, literally everyone was super quiet trying to eat their popcorn and drink their sodas.
How's Pat going to make fun of the kid being scared of the fish and then literally talk about fish touching his legs in water scares him, lol.
This is one of the movies that I am SOOO glad that I watched in a cinema. It's just a different experience. Glad you liked it!

Lots of couples either split up after losing a child or have another in an attempt to fill that void, so them having a new baby may have been done in a moment of trauma and weakness :(

I saw the film in a press screening with 8 other critics. It has never been so quiet in a cinema. Every sound was like a bomb strike. But what particularly impressed me was that all of the actors showed more range in acting without saying a word than many others with thousands of words. Hats off for the script, the direction and the acting. And thank you for your great reaction.
A Quiet Place 2 was going to come out in theatres. Then the quarantine happened.

The sounds of the stairs creaking as the creature walks down to the basement is so chilling to me, it’s ominous and you can hear just how big it is.

The key to the movie is to shut up! I get this a reaction movie but the premise is to be quiet... in the theater no one spoke, wrappers were super quiet, pop corn eaten slowly... it was intense!... the guy in the end is the least exposed to movies cuz he makes some the the dumbest comments

The names of the characters can be found online. They’re all a part of the Abbott family; Lee is the dad, Evelyn is the mom, Regan is the daughter, Marcus is the son and Beau is the younger son who got killed. They didn’t name the baby yet
Love that krasinski casted his own wife to play his wife, that way you can see how much they love each other without acting it out. Hopefully he gets to do more passion projects like this one cuz he's talented af, the sequel is actually gonna be a prequel btw
Seriously, this is one of the best movies of this century so far. A masterclass in creating and sustaining tension.
Millicent Simmons is next level good, and Emily Blunt can do no wrong. She's so well respected but still criminally under-rated. I had no idea what to expect when I watched it and it blew way, way past my expectations.
