During his one-time appearance Tor claims he became a healer to fight the medical establishment, believing it functions like a business and is only interested in keeping people sick so they can make more money. He also claims to have lived with eskimos briefly, where he supposedly learned some of his healing techniques. Tor knew both Kramer and Jerry before this episode, with Jerry claiming Tor was a nut who spent time in prison, whereas Kramer claims Tor is a rebel who was framed. George goes to Tor because he only charges 38 dollars for a first-time visit, whereas a hospital stay which would cost thousands of dollars. Once there, Tor performs a series of unorthodox tests on George by feeling his face and telling him he should have waited for a different month to be born. Tor also insists that George start taking cold showers. Tor claims George's illness isn't tonsillitis, but is actually caused by an imbalance with nature involving the elements of air and wind. Tor makes a special tea for George that is meant to heal him, but actually ends up turning George purple and forcing him to go back to the hospital. Tor Eckman was portrayed by Stephen Tobolowsky.
Seinfeld l "Jerome "Jerry" Seinfeld is the main protagonist of the American television sitcom Seinfeld (1989--1998). The straight man among his group of friends, this semi-fictionalized version of comedian Jerry Seinfeld was named after, co-created by, based on, and played by Seinfeld himself. The series revolves around Jerry's misadventures with his best friend George Costanza, neighbor Cosmo Kramer, and ex-girlfriend Elaine Benes. He is usually the voice of reason amidst his friends' antics and the focal point of the foursome's relationship." - Комедії

"No, no. He's out. He got out." Kills me every. single. time.
yeah getting out suddenly makes him medically legit
i don't know why but that line always has slayed me.
The way he reacts, as if him being in prison is only an inconvenience because it’s difficult to get an appointment 😂😂😂.
You're not supposed to watch it more than once, it was put here so that everyone can enjoy it and not just one person playing it over and over again...don't be so selfish.
You have no idea. I watch that episode just for that line lately.
Tor Eckman is without a doubt the most underated guest character in Seinfeld, such a shame he only was in one episode.
his name alone is legendary. It's up there with Kel Varnsen, Art Vandelay and H G Pennypacker
Him and mr bookman
Absolutely, I can't agree more
Yeah, he should've been their go-to healer. Like Jackie Chiles was their go-to lawyer!
The dry cleaner guy was the best, "the best"😃
The part when Kramer said "My name is Bob" had to be reshot multiple times.
“Couch grass and cramp bark? You know, I think that’s what killed Curly!”
I love when Kramer stops his story to look behind him. Just perfect timing he has.
Its the medical establishment😆😆
I know Jerry & Jason laughed a LOT during the making of, but bless them. For I would NEVER in a million years have gotten through this scène without non stop laughing & crying with joy & laughter. The actor playing Tor Eckman deserves an Emmy and a Globe, together with Mr.Bookman!
I love all these random friends Kramer has Jerry vaguely knows as well.
The one friend we actually see lol
You are in Disharmony The Throat is The Gateway to The Lung, Tonsillitis / Adenoiditis is in Chinese Medical Terms an Invasion of Heat & Wind. Greatest Line Ever lmmfao
There’s a lot of hot air blowing in here
One of the best episodes ever!
How Jason and Jerry didn’t crack up when Kramer was going off about Tor is beyond me.
They did. They had to re shoot the scene several times
I wish we would actually see Bob S once. Tor was ahead of his time with the cold water in the shower thing
100% agree
5:05 IM AN EGGPLANT IM AN EGGPLANT IM A MISTREL MAN
I love coming here to see the comments, my people 😂🥺
Just realized this is Ned Ryerson from Groundhog Day.
He was in Single White Female and Glee too.
and he captured the heroes' stunt doubles in SpaceBalls
And Clayton Townley, the white supremacist leader in Mississippi Burning
The actor Stephen Tobolowsky also portayed Clayton Townley, a klu kluk klan member in the movie mississippi burning (1988).
This is my favorite episode
Cleveland 117. San Antonio 109
Fax me some Halibut
“He’s out. He got out” 😂
I love Tor Eckman. "You're eating too much dairy!"
They missed a great opportunity of a Tor & Bookman spinoff. A Seinfeld odd couple.
Could you imagine? Lol
Sadly the actor who played bookman recently passed.
Missed the part where after the emts knocks his friend out he goes "hey, you want what he got"
I want a t-shirt that says "Tor Eckman was right".
You still looking?? I can make you one
or "Free Tor Eckman."
Well…
@mditt7 no, he's out, he got out.
The keyword here is "holistic"
That sounds right!
This and the library cop are the funniest Seinfeld moments 🤣🤣
Fighting over candy?! 🤣 This episode is golden!
Where's my Chuckle?!?!?!?
the absurdity of that whole scenario is hilarious.
Funniest skit ever on the they should of done more with this character
-Where are you going?!
-I'm going to kick his ass!!
Lmao.
“And your not a Dr.. but you play one in real life” 😆🏋️♀️
Man, I bet the blooper reel on this one was great!
George is 33 ............. I'm 34. WOW! He looks like he's 45.
But that is only due to the fact that he is in Disharmony!
That's some good ASMR session right there !
2:34 “Pfffffffftttttttttttt‼️”😝😝😝😝
All time favorite scene from Seinfeld 😂
Now I want a Chuckle.
Hey, it’s Ned. Ryerson. Bing!
The name was quite a shock for me LOL
“You know, I lived with the Eskimos many years ago, and they used to plunge their faces into the snow.”
"What month were you born?"
"April."
"You should have been born in August. Your parents would have been well advised to wait."
Thanks, Tor, you're a big help. >.> Makes you wonder what he recommends for less serious maladies. :P
"Hey Tor, I'm still feeling the pain from stubbing my toe the other day."
"You should have been born in France."
But don’t you laugh when he blew in his face lol
@@CobraCraig88 Yes. XD
@@CobraCraig88 I screamed with laughter. Tor and Bookman almost killed me with being too funny!🤣
I could go for some Chuckles candy right now 😊
$38: you get what you pay for
I’m a eggplant!!!
Love Tor
4:12 Kramer lol
Yeah, what the heck⁉️
Imagine a spin off …. KRAMER , NEWMAN, and TOR ECKMAN move to Las Vegas ….. oh man
5:50 lol definitely Larry David yelling “I’m gonna kill ya!”
"I'm a mutant".
That's it i'm changing my name to Tor Eckman.
Hey Baby!
One night in hospital, minor surgery... $4000!!
Now I understand why Americans live in plank sheds and not in real houses.
Plus, NO CONCRETE. Outrageous!
$4000 is what they would charge for a cup of water these days
5:29
You'll live.. .
The Chuckles bit was dumb. I would have written that out.
I love Chuckles. I understand the passion.
Seinfeld needed more Tor. He would have scored more. For Tor was no bore. Should have had more Tor.
PS: George looked like a jelly candy and only he noticed.
4:57 How you first feel when you get your second dose of the covid shot
5:05 The next day you feel aweful during the day from the side effects (at least I did)
I felt nothing and I had both Pfizer vaccines.
Aside from some fatigue and a slight feeling of malaise I had no side effects and I’m triple vaxxed
everything Tor says about the medical industry is completely TRUE, yet this episode tries to frame him as a crazy person.. I love Seinfeld (the show) but this just shows how deeply the medical/pharma propaganda goes
Well he is definitely a crazy person
