Well they do have something to signify they a LT or CAP they have a white leather badge instead of your normal black one and LT have black lettering and Captains have red lettering with captain or LT on it

The shield on the helmet denotes officers with a white shield AND colored lettering corresponding to company. A Squad captain OR lieutenant BOTH have a white shield with yellow lettering. The rank itself is written in on the bottom of the shield as lieutenant or Captain. Yellow is squad, red is ladder, black is engine, blue is rescue, marine is green, and there are some exceptions (Hazmat one uses blue for example but uses H1M for letters)​@@Exsolable
