This guy should make a vid about overthinking. Cuz he’s the Emperor of Overthinking. 🙏
Exactly man.
it's easy to say focus on the process not the outcomes (numbers) when you've reached this level of success (which was built initially by focusing on outcomes)
What a nice surprise. I am reading books from both authors and follow their channels on UA-cam.
Cool! two great creators 👏
Great conversation and great way to start the day. Awareness of the dichotomy of control, we can naturally be less self conscious and ego driven, and more empathetic and closer to the idea of "persona sociale|socievole"
Hi Ryan!
I've been studying stoicism and I am really struggling to get stoic philosophy in my subconscious mind.
What I mean is that I really don't think about stoicism when I am angry at my sister or when I am procrastinating or if I am freaking out.
I studying stoicism without any effect
When you get attached to the outcome with anything (in your case, the results of succeeding at being a stoic), you're trying to control the uncontrollable. It's a step by step, fall and get up and try again. Attachment To Outcome will cause frustration.

Bro, but I haven't seen a *single* result yet. Something is wrong with me I guess
It took me 3 years to get it down to my subconscious level. Now, during confrontational situations my stoicism automatically triggers. Two things that really helped me are 1. Reading stoicism through youtube, audible and books everyday and 2.Journaling my thoughts, especially my failures everyday.
Studying stoicism is the first step. Now you have to practice stoicism.

I stopped watching Scotty Kilmer videos because everyone of his videos is now titled RIP or I'm leaving UA-cam or Gas Prices are going to SKYROCKET! Now I know why he's doing that
Ali Abdaal is in genuine. He taught a “master class” on stoicism, but doesn’t follow the principles. He knows just enough quotes to get by…
I freaking love Ali. A real deal salt of the earth guy.
Ryan book India Hindi all very nice but one book no taranlert by the daily stoic boom is not read it book
Ali speaks too fast that I thought the video was set to play at x2
Ugh god not this Ali Abdaal guy again. The ultimate grifter king of toxic productivity. He's managed to hoodwink Ryan and Cal Newport, now. Thought they would know better.
His book is exactly the opposite of that, dude. Not toxic at all.
@@yg7777isn’t it a contravention to display contradictory facets of information in sources you put out? Almost as if he’s selling to different audience in order to maximise revenue, rather than authenticity
@@yg7777 he doesnt sell what he preaches. I agree with the original commenter, Ali has a very toxic approach to productivity. It scratches the surface of being absolute ridiculous some of the stuff he does and says. I'll never forget one time on this one video he even went as far as filming himself in the shower while reading a kindle! In the shower! Yes under water while trying to take a shower! I mean seriously, who tf does that its ridiculous....
Hi there!
I am 17 and I've been studying stoicism since 3 months and I am really struggling to get stoic philosophy in my subconscious mind.
What I mean is that I really don't think about stoicism when I am angry at my sister or when I am procrastinating or if I am freaking out.
I studying stoicism without any effect
Totally agree. Full of BS productivity.
Seriously Ryan? This guy again. C’mon.
All talking. All BS productivity.
Second 😏😏
Ali Abdaal is overall terrible, gave up his duty as a doctor to become just another dime a dozen “productivity for the sake of productivity” UA-camr
This comment is the antithesis to stoic philosophy lmao
@@LumberPanda Not so, stoicism isn't the rejection of all feeling whatsoever. This is my opinion, and I stand by it.
