Me eating noodle from food vendor on the side of the road in Bangkok, most of people near me are mostly young burmeses. The amount of them here is mind boggling, many burmese food vendors have opened around the area of my apartment.
fyi, one of the provinces is already mini-Myanmar.
One even wants my aunt to sell our house to them as they said "there no home for them to go back". non-Thai can't own the land tho so I guess good luck for their kid to obtain Thai-nationality.
Not as mind boggling as Chinese around some part though. They're literally everywhere in some part of Bangkok. Maybe it's because I'm Thai so I'm get use to various ethnic of migrants from Myanmar especially Burmese who already flood in since decades ago so it's not as weird me out as much as the amount of Chinese who migrated into my neighborhood in recent years.
Please be careful, the war will spill over into Chiang Mai then south... The Chinese funding these rebel groups to destabilize the area so they can annex these countries under the CCP

I'm from Myanmar and I appreciate your deep analysis and explanations.
But after watching your video from start to end, I noticed a lot of missing information and irrelevant details, which could lead to misunderstandings. I can clearly understand because our war history and current situations are very complicated.
Let me explain the missing facts:
There are two major ethnic armed forces: KIA (Kachin ethnic) and KNU (Kayin ethnic). Both are major threats to the Junta as they are the most experienced armed organizations. These two EAOs mainly gave shelters and provided military training to PDFs. While KIA have facility to produce Chinese Type-81AK rifles , KNU have to buy weapons from black market. And again while KIA is united as a single organization , KNU was divided into seven divisions , plus some work with junta and formed Border Guard Force (BGF). These BGF troops combined with Junta soldiers became a formidable force . That's how KNU became weakened. But despite that KNU helped escaped many of NUG members to Thailand and protected PDF troops whom have no combat skills and experiences at that time.
Due to strong existence of BGF forces Junta has no worry about Thailand-Myanmar border and threat of KNU. They only focus on wiping out PDF troops. But what Junta didn't expect was a vast majority of Burmese ethnic which is us , strongly support PDF in terms of donations . Because PDF troops are basically young people with high educational background like engineers , doctors , teachers , you name it. So , there's no wonder most people support them.
You can't leave the part the movement we made Civil Disobedience Movement ( CDM) . Around 10,000 junta soldiers joined CDM and worked with EAOs right now. And many junta soldiers
became spices for PDF and they gave a lot of valuable informations.
From late 2021 to 2022, the Junta and most of the ethnic armed organizations had an agreement to ceasefire. During that time, only the PDF and the Junta were in battle, except for the Karenni Army (KA), Chinland Army (CNA/CNF), and some of the battalions of KNU.
Starting from late 2022, the PDF started to control highways, roads, and small settlements. They captured two towns but had to retreat due to deadly air strikes.
As I remember, starting from 2023, the Junta army began to have a hard time as the PDF grew stronger day by day. Many Junta soldiers were too afraid to leave town as the areas outside were mostly controlled by PDF troops.
Around that time , I guess , Kareni forces along with PDF stormed military outposts near Kareni-Thailand border. At that time the Karenni National People's Liberation Front (KNPLF) was a BGF force working with Junta soldiers. Then surprisingly , they arrested junta soldiers who were working with them, and take controlled the border town called Mese. They switched side and joined PDF. The interesting thing was , in Kareni state , the PDF and existing EAO like KA altogether formed an organization called KNDF.
So, the capture of Mese town was before operation 1027 .
It was like a gradual loss of power grip. So the Junta took a gamble and stormed KIA-controlled areas once and for all. The casualties on both sides were massive (I saw many footages from both sides). The Junta had superior firepower and air support while KIA only had manpower and some long-range weapons. But that war had no clear victory for either side.
At that moment, Operation 1027 shocked the Junta.
For you to understand clearly, the Junta isn't afraid of any ethnic armed forces, whether MNDAA or TNLA or UWSA (Wa army).
What they are really afraid of is the "Invasion of China."
Yes, they are afraid China might invade Myanmar.
So they set up many military bases and stationed a large number of Junta forces in Shan State. The Three Brotherhood Alliance didn't outnumber them much. Plus, they have many multiple rocket launchers, which we saw in the Russia-Ukraine war. When 3BHA captured a major military base in Northern Shan state , they saw Junta stored a lot of HEAT ammunitions that's the proof that junta was preparing to defend Chinese armour vehicles.
You said you didn't see any actual footage of Junta soldiers mass surrendering to rebel forces. Well, there are tons of videos on Telegram. I can send them to you.
The best evidence is the surrendering of Laukkai. Around 2000 soldiers surrendered with their armored vehicles, tanks, multiple rocket launchers. That was like the collapse of the first domino of the Junta Army.
Followed by 1027, another big blow to the Junta was the war with the AA army in the Bangladesh and India border. You might have heard news of Junta soldiers fleeing to India and Bangladesh. Within one month, the AA army captured around half of the Rakhine State. That's a big morale hit to the ground.
Even as I am writing this, this month, the KIA army surprised the Junta with a surprise all-out attack and gained so much ground. They captured many strategic military outposts.
To conclude the situation, Nah .. Mate , the Junta might still have strength left but they definitely aren't winning.
Look how desperate they are; they even announced a conscription law and tried to collect us, young people as soldiers. They know we literally hate them, and they still want us soldiers hoping to defend them. That's not going to happen 😅
Edit : KIA captured a first town in Kachin state yesterday and their operation to liberate a whole state is still escalating. We got new footages of Junta soldiers mass surrendering in both Kachin and Kayin state.

The MNDAA captured Lashio ,one of the major cities of Mynamar. This is where things're getting interesting. Lashio hold the second strongest Millitrary Headquater in all of Myanmar. In just one month , a once called legendary headquater that can't be defeated is now fallen. They had the most experienced soldiers , state of the art weapons , terrain advantages, and now that very Headquater is fallen. Over 1000 soldiers surrendered along with over two thousands of their family members ( why family members? In Junta army, their wives and children also have to fight ). And now the EAOs and PDF are surrounding Mandalay from every direction , they even captured a few towns. And the very proud city of Pyin Oo Lwin , where Junta's Defence Services Academy is located , is now under threat. I guess by the end of this year , TNLA will capture Pyin Oo Lwin. Even now there is a massive battle happening just outside of the city.
The capture of Mandalay will be in next six months , I bet. Broken Arrow for Junta!

In Rakhine State, 47 Myanmar Army Soldiers died due to lack of food and water in the battlefield. The Arakan Army (AA) intercepted the supply drops for them. Now Myanmar Military is calling civilians by force to enter to their army. People are getting troubles. Conflicts are happening across Myanmar. Now only cities were left without conflict. However, the Junta's army is bullying to civilians.

Junta is far from being overthrown but they are far weaker than you make them out to be. In the west they lost more territory than in the northen shan to AA. KIA is taken the forts that Junta held for decades. And you completely ignore their men power problems which they are trying to slove with draft. SE Asia has always been full of scattered competing ethnic tribes, with different languages,customs and religions, they live in their ancient villages ,regardless of internationally recognized borders, and the tribes have always been at war with each other. Americans need to stay out of these ancient conflicts, nothing ever gets settled.

Quick history time..Bamar people were often mentioned as warmongers among other ethnic people back in the ancient times. Mon,Karen,Rakhine,Kachin,Shan and other races are peaceful people but this Tatamadaw thing has raped our land with their greed and tyranny since the past 7 decades. As who live near border with Myanmar, some of Regime army run and cross to India's border to took shelter from Indian army. One disadvantage for freedom fighters were that lot of defferent ethnic groups want defferent autonomous state and one important thing is if any freedom fighters army have better air defence rocket/ launcher, fighting will be better results.

As Thai, I don't want super power join in this conflics. TBH, we don't want ukraine-like battlefield in ASEAN. Many ethnics groups fled to seek shelter and work in Thailand 6+ million. We've tried our best to stabilize our society and control situation along border 2200+ km. 🙏🙏🙏
Even though we had war and fight each others for many centuries but we've shared many things in terms of culture, architecture, religion and so on. Mynmar has so many beautiful temples. I wish they have peace agreement and open for us to travel again. Many current ethincs groups in Mynmar are related to Thai directly like Shan people in the north. They are like our relatives due to Tai language. And Mon people in the south of today Mynmar is also our ancestors due to culture and settlement in Chaopraya valley for 1000+ year that has been shown via DNA test. Peace!!!

Burma is a country where the tribes used to tattoo girls' faces with the tribe's particular pattern, so that if they were kidnapped by another tribe and forced to marry, you could still see where they came from. It's not like the world you know.

I’m military defector from Burma. The main part to be blamed for long decades civil war is Military, Thailand, China and India. They never tried to help Burma to restore democracy as they always take advantage from this many year conflicts for their economy gain.
Thailand and China are getting natural resources such gas, oil and rare earth for cheap prize. Thailand got billion of dollars from refugee camps along the border despite they shout loud about refugees yet they never make it to the end.
China is one of the main reason why the military junta still exists. This is why majority of Burmese people are resentful against China. There are a lot to say about this conflict. Durga, cartel, human trafficking and I can go on.

It's like he didn't speak with anyone who knows anything about Burma and just went based on wikipedia articles and random news clippings and videos. In a war like the one in Burma, where media access is virtually non-existent, there is no way to understand the situation on the ground without having relationships with combatants and communities who are there. He clearly has none.

First of all, these mountain tribes or ethnic groups were not rebels and they are ethnic revolutionary groups who fought against the regime of dictator. Most of my relatives are ethnic freedom fighters and I have a dream of becoming one of them to fight against regime. The dictator has no chance to win the war because they lose more soldiers and they begin the agreement with ceasefire and peace talks with ethnic minorities and without fighting. However they sign the agreement with ethnic groups and they’ve attacked the villages.

I am a Meitei/Cassay from state of Manipur India. We have been feeling the brunt here as some elements of the Anti Junta forces have been attacking us. These are not normal soldiers, they make cartel like videos of our people. Our Millitias were fighting there but they've been lying low or have fled to our capital because the Myanmar rebels have now captured some of our districts in a surprise offensive in which we were heavily outnumbered and outgunned.
Anti Junta forces attack you cause you guys are shills for the Junta and compliicit in their atrocities against every ethnic group including the majority Burmese.

So many incorrect informations in your video clip. Myanmar army has not more than 150,000 combatants in which 80/90k are soldiers. Thats the fact.
Failed to retake Kayar state was the main reason why myanmar army was defeated in other parts of the country. Myanmar army was using one of the best assault unit, LID66 to recapture Kayar state and part of Loikaw city but lost between 3000 and 5000 troops after months of fighting before 1027 operation. Therefore, Myanamr amy pulled some of the battalions from North East and other part of the countries to resume the recapture territories in Kayar state, but lost heavily until the war becomes stalemate. In one case, Myanamr army soldiers told the General that they will take the punishment then attacking a rebel controlled hill but General refused and told the soldiers that they will be court-martial and will be shot. So, the battalion tried to retake the hill but suffered more losses.
As you stated, Division and Battalions should have 5000 and 500 respectively, however, most of the battalions have average 150 troops(less than 80 troops in 2024) according to many senior officers who was either captured or surrendered to different ethic groups since 2023. Since 1948, Myanmar army never lost a general in the war until recent months. 1 General was killed after his helicopter was shot down by KIA. Many Colonel and Majors were killed or captured.
Due to short of manpower, Myanamr Army Chief issued a decree that all men between 18 to 35, all female between 18 and 25 will be enlisted as soldiers from April, unit 1 will have 5000 troops and women will be part of the army after unit 4. Myanmar army was using Navy and Air force troops as ground infantry unit while using old/ex soldiers and officers in public offices yet losses against ethnic groups are pretty high. More battalions are surrendering to Rebel Groups in recent days. I have seen 2 Battalions officers and soldiers along with their families surrendered to KNU/KNLA last week. At least 3 or 4 battalions surrendered last week alone.
Myanmar army was defeated in North East. Regional Army HQ was captured by Three Brotherhoods, along with many other battalion HQ. Laukkaing was surrendered by myanmar army during the night. 6 Brigadier Generals and over 2000 army soldiers plus their families surrendered. All of them were freed but majority of them used lorries and cars to Lasio where all 6 Generals were arrested by Myanmar army units. 3 Generals were prisoned and another 3 on the death row. Myanmar army didnt retreat from any outposts or aeras in North East until AA started another operation in Rakhine State, South West where many of the outposts cleared and soldiers were retreated to bigger outposts. Approximately 50/60 outposts. Ordered was issued by the North West Commander in Chief if i can remember it correctly.
AA also have troops in North East where they founded AA in KIA territory about 10 years or so ago. AA have troops in both native Rakhine and also Kachin and Shan states.
