Good luck to you guys. Lots of similarities between military rhetoric in myanmar and rhetoric in military dictatorship in Egypt. Always pretending to be sacred and considering any criticism of them to be treason because after all they are the "military" sworn to "protect" and they use that for personal gains and thwarting democracy while calling any opposition terrorists. Really they are the terrorists.
Yes when videos are made about your situation it means you've made progress so keep at it. I hope one day we do the same and we can begin to see worldwide coverage to confirm our progress. Good luck.

Burmese guy and a member of resistance team here:
    1. Chin Shwe Haw is not the main trade port. It's just a small town that border China. The biggest trading town with China is Muse which is currently under siege by the coalition forces.
    2. The capture of Kawlin is actually the 11th confirmed town since the beginning of Operation1027. More towns are being attacked as we speak.
    3. Aung San Suu Kyi and President Win Myint are still under detention and their location unknown. The NUG has acting president on behalf of Win Myint, named Duwa Lashi La who is an ethnic Kachin.
    4. People's Defense Forces (PDFs) are more of an umbrella term for resistance forces. There are many prominent groups like KIA, KNU, KNDF, CDF etc that are forming alliance with NUG to fight against the regime.
    5. Since the beginning of the revolution, more than 70,000 homes are burnt/ destroyed by regime attacks.
    6. Regime forces have killed more than 4000 civilians since 2021.
    7. The entire northern Shan state has come under the control of coalition member since Operation 1027 began.
    8. Aung San Suu Kyi and U Win Myint has no control of what's happening in Myanmar right now as the junta put them in solidary confinement since 2021.
    9. Junta actually offered ASSK to pardon her to house arrest if she speak out against the resistance. She refused to say anything on the revolution. Since then junta have kept her in 10'x10' room with only 1 window.
    10. Resistance attacks are happening in every corner of the country. Even in urban cities like Yangon, & Mandalay, where resistance cells frequently assassinate junta officials.
    11. One of the objective of Op1027 is to root out online scam centers operated by junta allied militias. Junta have given sanctuary to scammers which angered China. Since 2021, hundreds of thousands of people are trafficked into working for the scammers with most victims being Chinese.
    12. There's general agreement that Op1027 is given green light by China. China may seems like supporting junta but actually, China doesn't like Min Aung Hlaing. China even refused to invite Min Aung Hlaing to BRI ceremony in Beijing last month where China invited all heads of states across the world. MAH was omitted.
    13. China has repeated pressured junta to act against the scammers which became a national security threat to China. But junta, which actually profited from scammers indirectly, refused to do anything. Hence, China gave approval for Op1027.
    14. The MNDAA immediate objective is to take the city of Laukkai which is one of the scam center. The town is currently under siege and run by junta allied Kokang BGF.

One important context: no foreign country has ever supported, given money or arms, to the resistance. The entire resistance movement is based entirely on donations by Myanmar citizens, both worldwide and domestics. We even started with home-made weapons.

What do you expect someone half a world away to do when they had little economic and diplomatic ties?
They do implement some sanctions but once again... No economic ties means sanctions do nothing.
Send money? Well that's a pure war charity which in uncontrolled and dubious. More so in a Civil war than a war between separate nations.
Invade and stop the conflict? A rather large portion of the west did try to stop a civil war in a country named Afghanistan where for 20 years they remained fairly in charge and did actually make the country prosper in many ways even with the conflict.... After they left it fell apart within a month. So invading countries to prevent or stop civil conflicts is something that just does not work.
Take in refugees? Well certainly you can do some of that but even there is a limit as that delays the resolution of the civil conflict even if it benefits the individuals.
Hence why, in civil conflicts and revolutions which do not leave the borders of the nation a policy of "let history run its course" is implemented ... Because there is nothing someone half the world away can do about it.

And during World War II, the Burmese fought with the Japanese and the hill tribes with the British.

    • @RoadtoRadiance-Burma

Another way to look at it is that we, the so-called ethnic groups, are not all ethnic groups. Instead, we are nations annexed by Burmese mainstream political unit through lies, oppression and Burmanization. We have distinct history, culture, language, political organizations, and every way of life someone can think of. The real divide and rule was launched by Burma. Burmanization has three levels: myth-based, territory-based, and class-based. I can tell about it all day long. We could not even promote our mother language during my childhood. To those who think state, governments and law are neutral do not know our lives. In summary, another narrative is that we are, from the beginning, trying to decolonize although many groups now have other purposes. Besides, one should not confuse this with 19th Century Europe-centered nationalism style and we can go back to thousands of years. Perspectives are diverse as we literally have hundreds of factions in resistance too.

Now it is too early here to say, but as a Burmese myself, it is still worth concerning to speak for.
    1. Forces aligned with the Unity Government that operates in secret have been injected with new energy thanked for the attack by the Brotherhood Alliance.
    2. However, China has a lot of control in Myanmar, and they play both sides. This is what made Chinese policies different than their policies on Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia. This attack could not be done without Chinese approval.
    3. But at the same time, China also reminds who is the boss in Myanmar. They quickly remind the Tatmadaw that, if they wish to keep the business, they must listen to China. Around the same time, China is cautiously warning the ethnic forces not to advance further if China doesn't approve.
    4. China sells a lot of modern weapons for the Tatmadaw terrorists. This includes jets and other forms of modern weapons and using them as a deterrent. They have refused to communicate honestly with our NUG since they prioritise only themselves.
So our risk is, we have no idea how the ongoing operation will last, nor even we have any idea about how China will move. The risk, however, is high. If we can't take the advantage properly, we can backfire. At the same time, if we upset the Chinese, they can use economic coercion or even military might on display.

Everyone in The West has heard of The Royhingya but not about The Karens, Kachin, and Karenni who have been facing atrocities meted out by The Burmese military for decades, and The Karen Revolution is a war that has been going on for over 70 years. The reason The Rohingya were deemed newsworthy in The West is because where they are makes a good site for a port in The Indian Ocean which can be connected to a road directly to China thus saving considerable time in China's shipping. @@CunnyRapenah, they're buying it from EAOs and them from the Chinese. Supposedly the CIA used to have some influence in the country's south, but Thailand won't let them smuggle weapons or aid in, so they couldn't really play things that way.

You can’t convince me that China doesn’t have a hand in Op1027 lol.
Many recent videos of resistance training and equipment are extremely reminiscent of PLA ones, suggesting outside help.

Thank you all for expressing your support to the people of burma (except those clowns who still think the people for burma are responsible for the 2017 genocide)

very good video. great pacing. loved it.
no useless information was given (except the "daughter of the "father of the nation"" part. i didnt understand that because of missing further context. it also wasnt relevant at any other point.)

The "daughter of the father of the nation" part is quite important as the initial interest and faith in Aung San Su Kyi was because she is the daughter of Myanmar's beloved General Aung San, who was the martyr striving for Myanmar's independence until his death in 1947.
His most notable accomplishments were being able to get the Pin Long Agreement (an agreement of unity between the ethnicities in Myanmar for independence) and the Aung San-Atlee Agreement (which said that the British Empire would give Myanmar independence only with the united decision from the ethnicities which Aung San showed with the Pin Long Agreement).
Thus, Myanmar people view him as the "father of the nation". Funny how the father of their nation was a General and now the military coup happens, serving as a catalyst for everything wrong going on there in Myanmar.

@@myramoon1617 to the uneducated international viewer it is not. nobody can make that connection you just made, besides people already familiar with the countries history.
so for the purpose of this video mentioning it, didnt make any difference.
