I'm 36 years old turning 37 and i saw the movie in theaters in St Louis when i was 5 with my 12 year old big brother, my 15 year old bigger brother and my parents and thought it was an awesome movie! so it had a cool character and all despite being an adult film and Rambo even had toys and a cartoon for kids back then you know and i even watched the Robocop cartoon sunday mornings and i remember having a Robocop action figure. They made Aliens action figures, Predator action figures, Terminator 2 toys and a cartoon/toyline based on Toxic Avenger for kids
@@coreygibson87 Born 82 too? and didn't we had awesome childhoods of having toys based on Rambo, Robocop, Terminator 2 and Aliens? i saw Alien on TV at age 4 and Aliens was the first r-rated film i saw in theaters with my parents and 11 year old big brother as it was awesome and when i was 9 going on 10 i had some Aliens toys. Did you too had Robocop toys and watched the cartoon like did? i also remembered when i was in second grade, one of my friends had a lunchbox with Robocop on it. i saw Predator 1 and 2 at the movies when i was 5 and 8! i saw Terminator on HBO at 4 and saw T2 at the movies when i was 9 as i had t-shirt, action figures, magazine, comic, poster, backpack, lunchbox and all that as they did kids merchandise based on T2. I remembered watching Toxic Crusaders when i was 9 and i had a few action figures, t-shirt, coloring book and cards and comics then i rented The Toxic Avenger movie and OMG it was quite a shocking movie even when it had a brutal murder sequence of a kid getting his skull crushed in detail by a car which made me sick, but awesome movie despite that horrific kid murder. I watched Rambo 1 on TV when i was 4 and i saw Rambo 2 with my family at that age and i had a Rambo tricyle, an action figure and toy gun of Rambo and i saw Rambo 3 at the movies with my then turned 13 year old big brother and when i was 6 in my last month of living in St Louis before moving to Omaha. I saw Elm Street 1 and 2 on video with my big brothers when i was 4 as i saw Elm Street 3 in St Louis theaters when i was 5, Elm Street 4 and 5 at the movies in Omaha when i was 6/7 with my big brother and my dad and Elm Street part 6 when i was 9 in Albuquerque theaters and i had a Freddy talking doll when i was 7 and they marketed Elm Street to kids too. I also remembered seeing Demolition Man in theaters with my mom when i was 11 with my 10 year old best friend and he had a few action figures and they made toys for kids based on Demoltiion Man. We all didn't grow up to be snowflakes as we had badass childhoods!
Ok, this is going to sound weird, but the smell of freshly popped caps is easily one of my favorite smells from childhood. I wonder if Yankee candle has gotten on this nostalgia goldmine yet.
Yup, born 82 and i saw the movie in theaters when i was 5 with my dad, mom, 12 year old and 15 year old big brothers in theaters in St Louis and it rocked. Even had a few of these toys as a kid and watched the cartoon on sunday mornings and played the arcade and NES game.
crissrudd4554 and I watched both as a young boy. I got Terminator 2 action figures for Christmas 1992 or 93 and played the RoboCop video game on the NES.
@crissrudd4554 T2 was rated AA in Canada. But I was pretty disappointed when I couldn't see Robocop 2 cause it was R rated, saw the Jetsons movie instead(should have peeped Ghostdad).
Anyone else actually remember that Robocop was NOT a movie for children? LOL.

Same age as you. Saw it with my mom in theaters when I was 4 going on 5. The scene when Murphy got shot and killed had me terrified.

Same thing with Terminator 2

What do you think of when they made merchandise to kids based on Rambo, Terminator and Aliens?
These “Robocop” action figures was based off of an R-rated movie of the same name.
Were Those Toys Banned? Because Of The Smoke!
These kids are gonna run outta those cap gun paper rolls REAL quick if they keep snapping at that pace. Take it easy.
I had this very unsafe figure when I was a kid and loved it lol

Best experience as a kid in the 80s. Saw the rob pop movie and had the action figure.

I just find it ironic that they make toys for kids thats for a rated r film. The same is done with Terminator 2.

How about Rambo as well Criss?
Well, people weren't pussified liberal pansies like they are now. I watched R rated films everyday as a kid lol.
I’ll buy that for a dollar
And... NIGHT ROUGE! Ehhahaha
*Sounded all fucked up* LOL
Those cubes supposed to be cocaine in the factory scene 😂🤣😂
These were cool- I loved the Robo Cap firing!!!
robocop and the ultra police; could've been a great cartoon show.
Did you ever see C.O.P.S.? It kinda had that "cyber-enhanced police officer" vibe
It was one that lasted for one season. The episodes are on UA-cam. They later made the Robocop Alpha Command cartoon.
built by OCP

This seems like something that would be in the robocop universe
@Metallicghost81 A dollar they were not, at-least $6-7 dollars Canadian.
