Nothing hits like this did when this first came out. One of the sickest mmemories of my life. Going buying this at hot topic walking out to the parking lot putting the CD 💿 in and my face and soul being completely melted into a fine poultry
Vincents lyrics are always so absurd and the way they re delievered are so fucking intense. I listen to too many bands to count, but the Acacia Strain never fails to get me beyond fucking pumped. I love it.
@@yaboyskythagoatman5425 Devin is indeed the man but he wasnt in the band when this came out, was still their original guitarist DL. i think he used a DAR guitar head
the fist time i heard this my friend played it in my car. we were sitting in an empty train station parking lot at like 1 in the morning.......... needless to, say i didnt sleep the next two nights
it's either drop F or F standard but i'm pretty sure it's Drop F. that would mean they tune all strings (including the lowest one) up a half step, then tune the lowest one down a full step. so it's F, C, F, A#, D#, G#, C, F. hope this helped :)
(0:00-0:55) If you know the film "The Devil Inside" Twenty years after Maria Rossi murdered three people, her daughter, Isabella seeks the truth about that terrible night (October 30, 1989)
That first bend hits so hard that I can't help but throw my head in a furious nose dive of a headbang. Like, it's so nuts. I swear if there was a heavier tone for it, I'd make it and just rip it.
These guys are awesome! I've been searching for some new music to add to my music library, something heavy, dark and brutal and they deffinetly deliver! Can't wait to have all their albums
ive been listening to deathcore for like 7 years now, i still love chugs and breakdowns. and what are you talking about, emotionally TAS is amazing. they have some of the best lyrics in metal. Oh and I Also love deathmetal cuz im not a closeminded prick.
I remember when this album came out like it was yesterday. The album art drew me in for a listen and 1:10-1:25 made me tear off my headphones and book it to the counter to buy it. By far my personal favorite they have released.
I hate when people say, "oh these lyrics don't make sense, so they must have no meaning". Just because you didn't understand them does not mean they are meaningless.
The song that got me into The Acacia Strain years later the intro is still amazing and vicious one of the best bands still going on strong, the Kings🤘🏼💀
man, i'm that way with a lot of breakdown-centric music, but just something about TAS will always hold a special place with me. Sure, it's just a massive chuggathon, but it's just so tasty. I think mainly it's the overt violence in Vincent's lyrics, shit just cracks me up.
+ThePunkSG tas is deathcore. dont they talk about murdering women in most of their songs? guess you just called tas gay then said they werent in the same comment xD
This is one of the very FEW bands that are actually hard to classify, they are both deathcore and metalcore while also being modern hardcore all at once.
If you play Doomblade (1:54) at the same time as you play August Burns Red - Back Burner (3:10) you can create a black hole at home. Great for science fair projects for your kids
so an 8 string guitar is naturally tuned to F♯+B+E-A-D-G-B-E, messhugah drops it to F+B♭+E♭-A♭-D♭-G♭-B♭-E♭, now what does the acacia strain tune to? E♭+B♭+E♭-A♭-D♭-G♭-B♭-E♭?
oh...my...god...the beginning scared me a little bit but, it is soooo AWESOME! XD just sittin in my room...with a pretty large closet....pretty late at night. pretty sure my house is haunted soooo yeah...scared me shitless. but still friggin' amazing XD
there is two meanings of heavy. one comes with creating a sound focusing on brutality, and another with creating low sounding, down-tempo riffs, something at sabbath's apex they did well given the resources of sound quality they had back then. largely youre right though, the "doomy" sort of heavy has slowly obsolesced.
Heard this for the first time after downloading the album, then as the police phone call part ended, this camera strap hanging down from a shelf literally flew into the air, no idea how. Scared the shit out of me. THIS BAND IS CURSED I TELL YOU
this song is literally about killing magic the gathering creatures with a card called Doomblade.
l m a o
true
Shiva bitch
but.... it's a good card right?
I liked this band growing up, and MTG... how did I not find this until now?
I wish there were other bands that went this hard without sounding like a washing machine full of bowling balls.
Hahahaha
Tanner Thomas one of them few bands that you can somewhat understand them when they scream
True😂
Lmao this is awfully boring
This band rips, but sometimes I like listening to music that sounds like a washing machine full of bowling balls too
I listened to the intro in my car stoned off my ass and I thought I was going to die.
*****
The weak wont survive.
***** Lmao me too, I was in Hartford when i heard it!
Hahahah same here bro it was funny ass shit
***** you can't hang
I'm vegan.
The decade’s worth of The Acacia Strain that I’ve listened to, this takes the fucking cake for sure
Nothing hits like this did when this first came out. One of the sickest mmemories of my life. Going buying this at hot topic walking out to the parking lot putting the CD 💿 in and my face and soul being completely melted into a fine poultry
That intro sent chills down my spine...
Forreal tho

This is by far my favorite Acacia Strain song. It's so dirty and heavy.
Crazy this album is 10 years old now
time keeps on slippin' slippin' into the futurrreee
And so many bands sound exactly like this now. You know, the drop Z braindead chugging that this record had.
I love driving past a school and blasting this with my windows down
As do I ! Lol I live basically on a college campus , ….. my son thinks it’s funny when I come pick him up at jr high school turned up lolol
I figure people blast enough hip hop we have to even it out with some metal. It's only fair.
DL was Beast. This album is his swansong. The guitar tone on this album is relentless.
DL is such a legend
Dudes in Bad Omens now, as the vocalist.
As soon as that first slam hit the first time I heard this song, I knew I was in for something crazy.
great tune for boss fights in dark souls sets the mood.
💯💯
or the boss themes themselves!
James LeClair cringe
Dimerra ? if you don't like it I'm NOT holding a gun to your head am I?
James LeClair For me Koloss by Meshuggah is the Dark Souls album lol
The most badass intro of any metal song by far \m/
+Robert Ligue listen to "wreck" by homewrecker, that intro is tight.
Listen to communion of the cursed, recording from an actual exorcism
@@shortstuff08795 good song bro

Not gonna lie the intro scared me a little
Kyle Langenau thats sad
Watch "The Devil Inside"
The intro to that movie is the intro to this song
Kyle Langenau bro I know. I was scared to listen to this song when I was a younger kid. It gave me nightmares
Too bad it's from a shit movie...
It really fucking jumpscares you doesn’t it
the intro literally made me look behind me
i honestly dont think any guitar tone has hit this hard since this album came out
100%. Its so crunch and sllmey
Devin Shidaker is whom to the thank. That man always brings the heavy!

Primitive Man

The start is so creepy.
Didn't say it wasn't awesome.
Peyton Weir its from the movie The Devil Inside
That’s why TAS always have been and always will be my favourite deathcore band. They mix pure aggression with chilling atmosphere so well.
It's my favorite part
the fist time i heard this my friend played it in my car. we were sitting in an empty train station parking lot at like 1 in the morning.......... needless to, say i didnt sleep the next two nights

crazy how hard this still slaps
Jesus, that 911 call at the starting is a real one.
link meh?
More like from the movie The Devil Inside...
+Samuel Adams Which is based on a true call I believe
its from a movie dumbass
a shit movie at that
Say what you want..if you walked into a bar and a band walked on stage and this happened you'd be jammin your ass off..fucking. period.
That fuckin intro still gives me chills every time.
Say what you want about the rest of the album, this is a crushing track. One of their best in my opinion.
The rest of the album is fucking incredible.
This song is unbelievable. It is sooooooooooooooooooo brutal! I'm gunna see them in New Orleans December 4th!
I can’t believe this comment is 10 years old. I feel like the crypt keeper
That first bend hits so hard that I can't help but throw my head in a furious nose dive of a headbang. Like, it's so nuts. I swear if there was a heavier tone for it, I'd make it and just rip it.
that intro gives me the chill's everytime, love this track!!
"And as you're lying face down in the dirt, I hope you felt it, I hope it fucking hurt." and then the drum part at 4:00 is fucking insane
This song is so heavy, I needed a someone to spot me while I listened to it.
ahahahha awesome

You can't say that about them now
This album turned out to be a most fav piece over the years
Their intro tracks are so killer.
I listened to this song before bed last night. Never again.
Intro is from devil inside
Stop chasing your dreams, they will never come true....slapped me hard af
Wikipedia says these guys are metalcore. This is clearly deathcore.
silly wikipedia
It's not deathcore, deathcore is gay. TAS isn't gay.
+ThePunkSG tas is deathcore. dont they talk about murdering women in most of their songs? guess you just called tas gay then said they werent in the same comment xD
+ThePunkSG that being said there are way too many subgenres for metal to argue about it. wikipedia can call it whatever they want!
This is one of the very FEW bands that are actually hard to classify, they are both deathcore and metalcore while also being modern hardcore all at once.
The fact that they used the devil inside thing makes this song so much more brutal
DL is the man.
dude, the same thing here. my music range is going from drake to rihanna and then tas. best heavy band outhere! sometimes i need to blow off steam.
My favorite album intro of all time
My favorite band. 2018.
I don't know who you're calling mario bro, but I can read a book while smoking my blunt thank you very much
The production on this song is so heavy it literally distorts my 5.1s, my monitors, my car system, and my headphones.
the heaver the better im pleased with this album im pleased with all their songs
This intro, is the best non musical intro to a metal song in years. Respect dudes.
This song is soooo chilling. I just heard it come on in the car and I was automatically in love.
>implying you only need a spotter on bench
>clearly doesn't exercise
they are more techincal but i've seen both live and i'd see TAS live 10/10 times. The energy and heaviness live just is unmatched. Its insane.
Best album so far man
These guys have seriously improved.

what movie is the opening sound byte from
The devil inside
That Drummer slips the beat in so perfect! 👍
I was surprised to hear the sample of The Devil Inside, but when I did I was like "...fuckin yes"
no matter how simple the guitars are, this song is fuckin hot
This song is brutal!!! I heard this song on my satellite radio, had no idea they were signed to rise :O

No it's not, there's no label you can put on this, except for maybe pure heavy brutal beauty.

Nice suggestion. Black Tounge and The Accacia Strain, two favorites now.
The creepy thing, is that is an actual 911 call in the beginning. The movie The Devil Inside was thought up around it too lol
how do u know
Twitchy No, it's not.
This song kills from beginning to end.
I know right?! This is some quality Pop Punk.
fucking intro from the bottom of hell
There is no heaven there is no hell...there is only Vincent.

This album is terrifying. This song in particular. So fucking good.
This is my Monday morning anthem. 🤘🤘
I always have a spotter but the most important time to spot is when your benchpressing cause the bar might fall on your throat
You do realize that there are a ton of lifts that require/use a spotter.
that dude on the bottom looks like the amish guy from sex drive
Seth Green
The intro is so intense if you listen to it full blast, that I almost had a fucking anxiety attack.
i feel like it was the devil inside. either way its the most badass start to a song ever.cx
This is unbelievable I can't believe it
Seen them live once. Opened with this song and i shit my pants. CrowdKillers4Days
The intro scares the shit out of me everytime
That freaking voice
This needs a music video with a black planeswalker summoning the hydra
Remember though, you can always regenerate it
Words cannot described how much I fucking love this album. DAMN!!!!!!!!!
That intro though
Please tell me they got the name of this from magic
I know this comment is six years old, but I literally asked Vincent this at a show and he said the song is named after the Magic card.
That Intro really freaks me out!
