Was there. One of the best nights of my life. Garnier loved the athmosphere so much he came back. The one he did in 1995 during Paddy’s weekend is the stuff of legends. He did an intimate small room first , then went on to the main Henry’s area. It was incredible.
What a night that was,, If I recall 60% of wat he played was on Reactivate 7 or 8, blew bass bins that night too, I had tinnitus for about a week after :)
Was that the weekend event Cox headlined Friday or was that later? I remember it raining and they opened everything up. It was an amazing weekend that. Loved his live instruments but it took a bit to set up as Henrys wasn't designed for all that........ We had doves coming out our ears LOL.
I remember arriving in Cork, walking into the darkness of Henry's, lots of strange heads, cool vibes. I forget if the other clubs on the block joined up for weekenders, but I'll never forget the feeling, the sounds, looked like a court yard.. was shittin myself going in, then I entered heaven, I had just witnessed Garnier on the decks.. damn
Two Regrets: 1) I never travelled outside Dublin in my first year of raving (1993) so I missed out on not just Henrys but the legendary experience of Garnier at Henrys 1993/1994, seeing one of arguably the best DJs ever in his prime at a club considered to be one of Irelands finest. I'm guessing the pills were up to 1993 standard too. It feels a bit sad though that the amazing music - which used to sound like the future - sounds like its coming from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Was it really that long ago that we raved and blew whistles and air horns in the dead heat and dry ice and vaporub, and reached for the lazers. Great times..thanks for uploading!
Henry’s from 1991 to 95 was something else. Especially the weekenders on Paddy’s Day and August bank holiday. On those weekends they’d open up the whole hotel building at the front and you’d have about 4 or 5 DJ sessions going at the same time. Different rooms to explore. It was amazing.
On my 39th voyage around our sun i love you all x i cherish all ive loved x and il be lovin us all forever xxx thank you for all your beauty for all your ugly for you im so blessed x up cork

Garnier at Henry’s was unreal. Literally shook his hand as Humate was playing. The crowd went nuts. He loved it !
A lot of good pills too. Oh boy that helped.
