If you buy food #abroad , make sure it’s inside and not on a cart or stand if it’s cooked . My husband got salmonella from a pastry 🥮 he ate off an open cart . I think it had been in the heat too long , also drink bottled water 💦 not tap water 💦 to be safe , when out and about .
I love you. I came across you accidentally. I think you’re hilarious. I’m going at the end of the year. I’m going to try your suggestions. Maybe the Maltese sausage will make me see stars.
The stringozzi can be made multiple ways, one way to make a similar dish is adding spagetti, octopus meat and octopus ink into the mix, making it look dark like liquorice. There is also a gozotain pizza if you wisit our sister island, ingredients very abit depending on which resturant you visit Gelato Flower? Modern, if you go for Actual Maltese ice cream it's the same as any other, a cone and a ball of ice cream ontop. That "pastizz" you picked up? Thats a pie, can be filled with meat, fish or veg. A pastizz/i is a crunchy multi layerd pastry filled with cheese/ircotta or peas. Our Peacake and Cheesecake. (The 2nd pastry made snack with the "flaky outer crust" is an actual pastizz) Love from a Maltese Visit us soon 😃
Hi, I am writing on behalf of my wife who is half Maltese raised and living in England. Her father was born and raised in Malta while her mum is English. Her Maltese great uncle was awarded an OBE for services to Maltese football and there is a bust erected in his honour in Valletta. She would love it if this statue of Carmelo Scicluna could be shown on one of the videos as it very much looks like her own father. Also, she is also hoping to be able to communicate with anyone that has some knowledge of Maltese football and it's history, the airforce of Malta during WW2 (her grandfather served as a foreman at Luca airport) and any other general Maltese history that could be of interest. Her great grandma helped deliver babies on the Island during the war as well. She has tried several football forums but has not had any luck, and she had very little information given to her by her father before he passed away. I have written this on her behalf but she will be able to provide more info if anyone can assist her. Many thanks.
The ice cream is not traditionally maltese but i know which shop it is but it's yummy. Gnocchi is not traditional neither but with a maltese twist just like the pulled pork parpadelle.
Thanks for covering this. Maltese is a great cuisine that few people know. Congrats on your English but I have never heard someone use the wrong inflexion on EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE! That paired with random cliched text makes the narration a bit rough. A bit more natural speech would be more enjoyable.
Amazing video, but PLEASE next time put the place you have them. Having to guess or google them did not bring me any actual result, and on the menu of Bacchus and Cockney's these foods are nowhere to be found. Anyway, thank you for the video.
What do you do when your favourite food vlogger goes to Mediterranean....you sit your ass down and watch him devour those Mediterranean delicacies one bite at a time...
The majority of this food is not Maltese 😭 ..the pastizzi, rabbit stew, mqaret...The octopus pasta is inspired by a local dish...but the others are not Maltese at all. Simply a touch of Maltese ingredients..but not Maltese food.
@@SoloTravelBlog Because sadly enough, some Maltese people may still feel quite obsessed, or maybe "a bit brainwashed" by the former colonial 'British rule/agenda'. But overall, we simply love Italy & Italians, even because the neighbouring Italian culture is deeply rooted in us; more or less the same way as Maltese language has its very old semitic roots which over the centuries kept evolving through its strong romance structure, together with many (modern) borrowed words of Anglophone origin. (as you probably already know) - And yes, I would also add and precise that: Italian language during the centuries, was never considered as any other foreign language over here. However, well done for this very original chilled video! hehe.
My husbands relatives told me it was #Chicken and I believed them and ate it . Then I saw the rabbits , they were breeding 🐇 in their back yard. To be honest Rabbit does taste like Chicken, but you shouldn’t lie to people incase they are allergic, it’s #morally #wrongful
You got so ripped off on almost everything...did you only eat at hotels and boutique restaurants?! Maltese food is rustic and simple and cheap and homemade not this fancy stuff...8euros for pastizzi and imqared ???
That OUTRO makin' a comeback
I guess it is pretty off topic but does anyone know a good place to watch new movies online ?
@Brodie Maximiliano I would suggest FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
Nice vedeo very interisting ❤ nice to travel
Just a disclaimer, the first item in no.5 was NOT pastizzi but a chicken pie
I’ve never laughed and been so amused by a travel food video before. Now I have to watch more
Really? So glad to hear it. Have an awesome day!

Best octopus I had was in an octopus salad in a Greek restaurant in Greektown, Detroit, Michigan, USA.
I love you. I came across you accidentally.
I think you’re hilarious. I’m going at the end of the year. I’m going to try your suggestions. Maybe the Maltese sausage will make me see stars.

Where did you get the Qarnita Stringozzi ? Looks amazing
It's from a restaurant in Valetta called "Cockney's"
@@SoloTravelBlog how about the Tomato Qarnita, on the same restaurant?
Food looks incredible, on my list now, thanks to you 2 👍👍👍
You're worth it, dawg
It all looks incredibly delicious. Would definitely visit some day.
You're worth it, baby
Love the appreciation and feel good vibe in the comments 😊
I spotted a talent narrator here. I came for the curiosity for the food, but stayed for the story teller. very cool, and entertaining.
Terrific camera work. Showed off the dishes really well. 😁👍

Buckwild treats on those mean streets

It actually changed my life
Love Malta, not been in years though, hope you had a mighty fine time
Loved that small island to bits. Thanks for the primo comment, baby
Can you list resturant for pizza please????
Can I ask you in which restaurants did you dine please? Would love to try that food.
Most of the foods were filmed at Cockney’s Restaurant in Valletta and Bacchus Restaurant in Mdina
Now you have to come back as you forgot to try the kawlata, the soppa ta' l-armla, the qarabali mimli and the lampuki pie😉😆 Regards from Malta🇲🇹
Wow, I didn’t know about those foods... I gotta come again!
Where did you get that pizza???
Vinum Wine Bar & Bistro in Mdina
Nice
Oh how I missed these mmmmm
Nice to see you around these parts, TOMB MOTHER

Gnocchi is not traditional neither but with a maltese twist just like the pulled pork parpadelle.
Yes, a lot of the foods are Italian influenced. Loved that imqaret though!
Aw heck yeah baby!

Thanks for that REAL nice comment and positivity, baby

What do you do when your favourite food vlogger goes to Mediterranean....you sit your ass down and watch him devour those Mediterranean delicacies one bite at a time...
And wow, just wow. If that ain't an inspirational-to-the-max comment, then I don't know WHAT IS
The majority of this food is not Maltese 😭 ..the pastizzi, rabbit stew, mqaret...The octopus pasta is inspired by a local dish...but the others are not Maltese at all. Simply a touch of Maltese ingredients..but not Maltese food.
Is it #PorkSausageMeat on that 🍕 pizza?
We aint italian, dont put on an italian accent..for the love of god
Why don't you like Italians?

The Hospitallers were from medieval times btw, even the most basic student of history knows this. ( no offense )
I take it English isn’t your first language?
@@SoloTravelBlog it is my first language, oh wait, I just realized I wrote “hospitaller” instead of “The Hospitallers”, changing that rn.
What the hell you doing in Malta?
I had some honeymoon action but now I’m back in the Land of the Rising D
Pork Pappardelle has nothing of Malta. Its deirved from an Italian dish,
Don't discriminate against Italian people
It's kinda strenous to listen to your voice. Sounds kinda excessive. first dish looks good.
cant stand his voice, horrid.
For food go in Sicily 😏
That first thing you ate was not a pastizzi- it was a pastie of some sort.
I'm sorry but I can't with your narraration.
stewed rabbit meat
Dude, easy on the buffoonery
My husbands relatives told me it was #Chicken and I believed them and ate it . Then I saw the rabbits , they were breeding 🐇 in their back yard. To be honest Rabbit does taste like Chicken, but you shouldn’t lie to people incase they are allergic, it’s #morally #wrongful

What restaurants do you recommend for a better price on my next trip?
İtalian food
Your narraration needs improvement. Seems like you're putting on an act. Had to watch on mute
Wtf is the script
