I tested one of the most hyped budget IEMs, Moondrop CHU 2. I get it now. These are built solid, comfortable to wear, and sound excellent. I can easily recommend them in this price.

I have it, and it's great. The sound signature is very enjoyable, not bass-heavy or treble-heavy. The only caveat is that the 3.5mm version doesn't have a mic or inline control buttons. So, for skipping songs, playing, pausing with inline controls, or handling calls, it’s not usable. Buyers should keep that in mind. If such inline controls or mic is needed, you need to buy another compatible cable which has such features.
I agree. I didn't know it won't have any buttons on it. The DSP version has them, and a type c connector too.
A new subscriber here! Nowadays you don't find phones which gives importance to the sound quality. Over the time we forget how good the music used to sound. Thanks for reviewing the products which brings back those days. Im planning to buy this Moondrop Chu 2 IEM and an mp3 player around 2-3K. If you have any suggestions for mp3 player please do let me know. You are one of the most underrated UA-camr! Kudos to your work 🎉
Thanks for your support 🙏🏽. I recently used the Audiocular M61 music player. It was good for around that price. There may be even better options. I suggest you take a look at the concept kart store to explore 🙂
Nice. I was checking in conceptkart under Rs. 3000 and there were many brands (Audiocular, Ruizu, Swofy)
I'm confused which one is better.
Well, I haven't tried many, but they might perform similarly. Check for any specific details about their file compatibility and playback sampling rate
I have the kz AM01 3.5mm to type-C DAC, I also play games, so if I buy chu 2 Dsp i can't use the DAC, if I buy chu 2 (non dsp) I can't use mic. I'm stumped. What should I do?
I listen to music like pop, hip hop and vocals, and play FPS games in my free time.
Considering my preference, any recommendations would be helpful.
My budget is 2000
Yeah, the lack of in-line controls and mic is a bummer here. You could also consider the Tangzu Waner classic. It's very good and is similar to the CHU 2 with slightly lower mid range and softer bass. It should work well with your DAC.
bro should i get this or tangzu wan'er studio edition ? (i am an IEM beginner and i was planning to buy wan'er studio edition after seeing your review for it's top notch sound quality but now i saw this review too)
The studio edition is very good, especially for a flatter sound. This may be better as a "for-music" IEM due to it's warmer bass.
@@TheHopelessGeek oo i get it bro but i am not a bass enthusiast (i mean i enjoy bass in home theatres but not in in-ear earphones)....so what IEM should i go for neutral/pleasant sound quality under 2k ?!
In that case, the Tangzu Waner classic would be a good choice. Compared to the studio edition, it's a little warmer, and nicer for music
i heard dsp version sound worse does 3.5mm version has mic ?
Maybe, I'm not sure if it's just as good or worse off. But no, the regular 3.5mm jack version doesn't have a mic.
Non dsp has no mic I got it, playing Tum Hi Ho will struggle with this , will give some distortions, other wise it is good if can manage that.
Only Tum Hi Ho gets distortion rest every other song just fine
Do USB C to 3.5mm convertors for cell.. degrade sound or interfere with sound outputs? Generally asking?
Some of them do. The problem is, it's not easy to tell which is good and which one isn't. In general, it's better to get one with a dedicated amplifier chip, like the Audiocular D07
I have used Tangzu Waner and Truthear GATE but I don’t like their fitting. So can you suggest me some iem under 4k for small ears.
I recently tried the Moondrop CHU 2 and they're super small. Easy to fit in most ears.
Can you review the Zebronics DAC
Oh, they make a DAC? I didn't know that. I'll try to check it out
bhaiya which one is better moon chu or kz castor
The Castor has sharper top end due to its additional balanced armature drivers. But the Moondrop CHU 2 is built better and has warmer bass. I personally prefer the sound from the Chu 2.
But if you want that sharpness in the treble and want a mic (CHU 2 doesn't have one), the Castor is a better option. That said, I think most people trying IEMs for the first time would enjoy the CHU 2's mid range better, without the fatiguing top end.
What is the exact model name of the Honor curved display phone that you are using?
It's the Honor Magic4 Pro LGE-NX9.
What about BLON BL03 compared to this??
These sound better than the BL03, but it doesn't have any in-line controls or mic.
Kz edx pro and kz edc pro, which one better? Both are below 1000, so can u suggest one
The EDX Pro is a bit more V-shaped, meaning it has more emphasis on bass and top end with average mid range. The EDC Pro sounds more neutral with enhanced mid range performance. I would personally go for the EDC Pro for its balanced sound.
Hello bhai
Recently i have purchased Tangzu waner × HZ
They are not getting on me, it's mild lacking the hype and the cable is not good
Can you suggest any other good iem's with 3.5mm and mic
You could try the Blon BL03. It has a mic and warm sound. The Moondrop CHU 2 is nicer, but it doesn't have a mic
Hi bro, I regularly follow your videos.
Can I get one suggestion?
I need the best IEM under 2000 which should also support mic so that I can use it for my office purpose as well. Currently I’m using iPhone 13…
As sale is going on, I’m planning to buy either from Amazon/ I’m okay to buy from conceptkart as well…😅😅
You can consider the KZ Castor. It comes with a mic and is available for a good price. amzn.to/4eFoFUn
You can check if concept kart has it for even lower.
AirPods pro max
@@lostguy362 for 2000😅😂
@@TheHopelessGeek Thank you so much
I'm using Chu II DSP its incredible ! Better wire Quality also! Best type C
Noice! I'm gonna try more type-c specific IEMs to see how they perform🙂👍🏻
Does it have good bass ?
Bought them Moondrop Chu 2,
2 days ago Tum Hi Ho 320kbps gives it distortion, disabled all EQ s i am returning it. Yeah 2k IEM may not have super audio range but distortion is not negotiable
I see. I didn't notice much distortions. Maybe their QC has issues.
I am not a geek what does QC mean 😅@@TheHopelessGeek
Ah, it's just quality control. Basically ensuring that all units are of the same performance without varying experience or issues between units
you think it is the best IEM under 2000 . I do have kz zns pro and i dont like the sharpness of it so thinking getting a new IEM under 2-3k budget
Yes, these are much smoother than KZs for sure. Much more premium built, too
Go for dsp worth it
Ah, yeah, it also has a mic 🙂👍🏽
i am planning to buy one plus nord wired earphones which it costs around 550. are they a good option? i need a good built quality like braided cables
They seem pretty generic, to be honest. They'll most likely have the oversaturated bass like most earphones do, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if that's your preference.
@@TheHopelessGeek any recommendation for wired earphones for around 500-600? I used JBL 50ci but its cable broke off after few months.
You can consider the Realme buds 2
bhai mera sath scene hogaya thoda help kardo
maina 4 saal phala maina cosmic byte a keybord liya tha apka wala but blue swith aur aaj wo kharab ho gaya i mean when i plug in pc light hi nai on hora hai and pc mai recozine bhi nai kara so maina open karka deka tho kuch bhi fault nai deka everything was on point but still keybord on nai hora kya karu pls help me
I guess it's better to get it fixed by them. I'm not too sure how much it may cost. You can ask by emailing cc@thecosmicbyte.com
Samsung galaxy s23 user.. suggest me a iem (beginner) under 2k..and aslo compatible usb c connector...plz.
You can consider the DSP version of this CHU 2 IEM. There's also the Salnotes Zero around this price, which is quite good. But I suggest the Chu 2 DSP first.
How is chu 2 compared to zero 2 interms of sound quality fir movies and music. I don't care about build quality.
The CHU 2 give more bass for music. For movies, the zero 2 with better mid range may emphasise human dialogue better. But the stereo separation is mostly identical
not for me bro... can afford kz edc pro only😢
I had recently purchased and it's great for the price
EDC pro is very good, too
So i have all day calls in wfh and i also play fps games like valorant and i love to listen rap songs and most of the English song so which should i buy this one or that studio edition one or i researched it and Crinacle Zero 2 or kz castor
Which one should I buy its way to confusing inthis price segment 😅
I'd go for the Castor. It's overall a better choice. But keep in mind, it's sharp treble may be uncomfortable for some people over long durations. You could also consider the Blon BL03. It's awesome for this purpose.
@@TheHopelessGeek thanks then I'll go for Blon BL03 or do I consider this moondrop
This Moondrop one is nicer than the BL03, but it doesn't have a mic. If that's alright, you can go for this.
@@TheHopelessGeek no I want mic for calls
Then, the BL03 is a better choice
To underrated channel😢 ❤❤
🙂always has been.
How it is copared to salnotes zero 2 ?
This is better than the zero 2 overall
Aukat k bahar but it is really cool
🙂it seems to be available for around ₹1.7K via pre-orders on concept kart.
Порекомендуйте бюджетный ЦАП для пк, использую для игр и музыки
FiiO E10K may be a good starting point
moondrop QC not upto the mark, but sound op
Hm.. KZ has the same quality consistency issues. Some may have a good experience, and others may have problems.
For this price you can't except good qc
@@RandomUser-tj3mg of course :)
Hello
Yet another greetings
@@TheHopelessGeek whats your opinion on Nothing ear stick? or is realme air 6 better?
Hm.. Nothing has good app support for their products. But I haven't tested one. They could be good to get.
Hello
Greetings
check kiwi ears iem, they are fun sounding
Oh, I see. I'll check them out 🙂
Nope ziigaat nuo is a lot better.
I'll check it out 🙂
If you buy it make sure to compare it to every single budget Iem you have. (Including bl03)
I will 🙂👍🏽
