Been watching Brad for awhile now one of my favorite streams was when Brad was at a table with Doyle, Ivey, and Hellmuth. He beat Doyle for about 20,000 and then he caught Ivey in a big bluff. Then last week Brad vlogged the game.
He's gonna start playing in massive games. It's super exciting to see the journey so well documented.
And frankly, watching him improve in skill, as well. I'm no pro by any means, but even I can notice him over the years getting better reads, extracting more value, getting away with more bluffs, all that good stuff.

@raymondel-haddad7312 It went great! We had 8 players show up, and played for about 4 hours. I ended up being the big winner for the night. After getting stuck in the first hour, I made a comeback by the end of the night and had won back my losses, plus 4 other buy-ins. I shared my whiskey collection with the guests, which I think they felt was a good trade-off for their losses, lol!
The way Brad plays some of these hands is interesting. Very educational for a aspiring fish like myself

It didn't really matter, but at 12:05 the dealer seems to have made a mistake. It looks like they thought you had trips with AJ kicker, when you actually had a full house.
That type of thing happens occasionally, just didn't see the board pair.

Do you sell cancelled Lodge Card Club playing cards. I know that might be a bit of a strange question here, and I don't know why I'm just now noticing, but I really like the design and colors on them. I'd like to buy a set of each color if available, but I didn't see them on The Lodge website.
Dude that hand at @15:00 I played one almost exactly similar about a year ago, board was basically the same, I had Q9 and rivered 2nd pair with 1 overcard and a pair on board too, checked thru all 3 streets to me on the river, I bet half pot and SB check raises 6-7x. Same thought process as you, he just happened to have 99 there 😂😂

Cool..I know that dealer Anastasia in the beginning of the video. She started off dealing for us in Montanna before she got hired there.
I'm surprised that I haven't seen Brad play on the LA poker livestreams. His skill is more than enough and I don't think staking for those stakes would be an issue even though Brad is probably a billionaire by now.
I have an open invitation there, but it's not very appealing to me for a handful of reasons. I'm playing 200/400 NL for two days at The Lodge on stream next week so staking isn't the issue. I actually don't really enjoy playing on stream, but I'm happy to do it in Austin to promote the room. Other than that, I typically try to avoid streams in general. I feel pressure to liven things up because that's what viewers want, but that's not how I prefer to play - it ends up being a circus a lot of the time and not real poker. The lineups in LA are filled with sketchy people and I don't know how they get the funds to show up and regularly lose 6 figures. The streams don't pay anything either. For content purposes, people see how I do before I make a vlog of the session so it ruins the vlogs for some. Altogether there's almost no benefit.
@@BradOwenPoker I enjoy watching vloggers I follow on streams but only if they don't deviate from their playing styles. It's a good educational tool. It's just as important to see the spots where they fold than the hands that go to showdown. Some vloggers however (Rampage) feel like they gamble more than usual to produce content. To me that's entertainment but not educational.

I plan to come to the Lodge at some point this year. What brand of cards does the Lodge use? The "Q" on those two Queens at 2:33 look strange to me. I don't think I'd recognize them as the letter "Q" if I didn't have the rest of the card as context.
