@@Viseak Man, both your and Sir Phobos' collections give me nostalgia from childhood. The only zoid i ever made was the Berserk Fury as a kid, loved it in the show. Dont have it anymore (broke). I think either i or my brother had a nonmodel Shadow Fox though. But i just recently bought a Sledge Head kit for about $33 on eBay to start slowly getting into Zoid kits. So, I have a few kits in my collection that I never got around to building. I'm a bit more interested in parting with some of these than building them (I don't have the room anymore considering the current already built collection). Any suggestions about how I could go about offering these for sale with the Zoids community? The models I have that are unbuilt are: Mad Thunder, Gojulas Giga, a blue Blade Liger, Desert Shield Liger, Elephander, Pterorayse, Arosaurer, Iguanasaur, Sledge Head, Rev Raptor, Saberlion, Molga, and a Gusak. Some of these are Tomy Japanese releases, like the Mad Thunder, blue Blade Liger, Desert Shield Liger, Pterorayse, Arosaurer, and Saberlion. The others are the Hasbro releases. The Desert Shield Liger has some Nintendo Gamecube logos on it, because I believe it came with the Zoids VS II game, which I also have. And I have Zoids VS I and III for the Gamecube, as well as Zoids: Full Metal Crash. All of the Zoids games mentioned are Japanese releases.
The best place to go would definitely be the Zoids subreddit and discord! Plenty of Zoids fans from all over the world there who’d be interested in some old gems. As a side note for you, I wouldn’t go off the pricing I used in this video, a lot of them are dated now and some were quite quite warped even for the time due to a bit of ignorance and lack of research on my part, didn’t realise there were quite a few other avenues to get these kits for cheaper but what can ya do

lol, you could get that collection brand new for 1/4 of that if you don't pay scalpers. I got Gairyuki for €45 with shipping and Death Saurer for €90 in July. Most of the old school ones you can find for €30 or less

Generally Yahoo Auctions Japan is the cheapest place you’re going to find any of these kits from my knowledge at the least, just because Japan has such a large supply of the kits. eBay in particular definitely has some scalpers in comparison as not everyone can/knows about/feels comfortable ordering from yahoo auctions so gets sucked into paying a bit of a premium. But yeah man if you don’t mind me asking where did you manage to find these guys all boxed up over there? Definitely can’t find them in Australia anymore

Honestly if you searched hard enough through maybe Facebook marketplace listings you could probably find them a lot cheaper, but then they probably wouldn’t be new and sealed. I don’t actually have any of those older Zoids no, the oldest I have is definitely the Tomy Version of Irvine’s command wolf from the 99 line
I'm so sad my 80's kits got damaged... I had the Zoidzilla and the Krark.... The little ones I can still salvage but the bigger ones have broken parts, leaked batteries and such. Glad I rediscovered the franchise though. I got some of the new ones and building the Wild Liger at the moment.
This brings back memories, me and my brother used to collect the old windup/battery operated zoids as kids in the 90s, we played the shit out of them, sadly we couldn't bring them when we migrated to Australia. My favourite from my collection was Gogulas Giga, because of the two position you can choose from when it's lit up. This reminds me, I have to find time and get around to building my HMM Gogulas and gundam kits.
Ha the battery operated kits were definitely fun to play around with, which is why most of mine are all banged up haha I really gotta find some time to build my kits too, got a bit of a hefty backlog to attend too

Im going to take model kit painting lessons soon. There's a Warhammer shop in central Stockholm that holds weekend lessons. I intend to buy dirty old second hand zoid models, clean em up and paint on em.
This reminds me of my zoids collection. I repeatedly insisted they were models and to be handled with care, but they kept calling them toys. I had them from age 13 until age 22. My folks threw them into a box and put them in storage while I was away from home for a few years. When I got back for a bit (about 3 years later) to officially move my stuff out, all of them were destroyed within the box, to the point they had to be thrown out. I was devastated. It's unlikely I'll ever replace them =[

the black leo blaze came with a black uneglerffbqiuef (idk what its name is but its the gunsniper blocks zoid) to form a lizard fuzor. they were black so that the fuzed kit wouldnt look gaudy.

I have a few of the motorized models, and the HMM of the red Saber Fang. It's beautiful, but was a pain to assemble due to the center connections not locking in very well.
Only model kit I own is a Dark Horn. And I have no idea what actually happened to it. My mom bought it for me in the early 00's at a Walmart (one near where my aunt and uncle live, not one near me, so I don't actually know/remember if the ones closer to me actually had any). Also don't remember whether they only had the dark horn there or if they had anything else. Should still be in my parents' basement somewhere, but last time I looked I couldn't find it.
My Hasbro Energy Liger decided to split his head in two and give me a terrible time trying to put it back on..The jaw was the hardest thing to keep in place. It kept falling out..I'm lucky enough to have found a new in box one at a local secondhand shop. I don't want to build it since it is rare to get them cheap. But if my built one bites the dust, I might have to.
I wish I can collect all the HMM Liger zero kits too. I have the default Liger Zero. Wish I can get the Schneider this year. Any news on when Koto would might reprint those?
And I felt bad for letting my Ultrasaurus get dusty... At least mine still has all of it's pieces. And your Leoblaze was part of a Yuji Kiada limited kit called Shadow Arms Lizard, which was a limited version of the Double Arms Lizard.
I just realized that this video is 3 years old. I havent been to Japan since 2018. I'm sure Akihabara has changed over time. Is there a particular shop there where you get these kits? or are they easy to find in multiple shops?
I pieced the DVD's together over a span of 3 years on ebay. I got alot of them for under 30 bucks. The most I payed for 1 one was volume 5. I waited 2 years for them to drop the price and I finally snagged it for 80. Disclaimer I only have about half of the original cases is why they were so cheap
Matt Neal damn that’s not a bad pickup at all still, I waited over a span of maybe a year or two to pick everything up. Admittedly there are some volumes like 1.13 and 1.11 that I paid a bit over $100 for, but then I got lucky with 1.15 with some cash converters type company that just listed it on eBay for $15, as well as a couple lucky auctions.

All of these exclude spear part zoids.
Hey mate, just wanted to say I have been loving your Zoids videos! Was super surprised that a lot more people than I thought still loved Zoids, so thanks so much for helping keep it alive. I'm so envious of your DVD collection! I have a handful of VHSs and DVDs and really wish I had bought them ages ago when they weren't 10 zillion dollars. I actually remember Crazy Clarks selling them back when that store existed. I do have up to volume 11 of the manga though and again...should have got the rest when they were cheaper but thank-god for the Iron Bible. Keep up the good work, the dislikers are probably Fuzors fans.

Man I completely forgot Crazy Clarks even existed I never really thought to go there to check for Zoids DVD’s, I would always scout closing down blockbusters and managed to get one or two of the later volumes from there. I’m envious of how much of the manga you have though, I definitely want to complete it but I really can’t justify the inflated price, better off learning Japanese and grabbing the Jap copies haha, but yeah, thankfully the Iron Bible exists. I was considering it, and still might do it, but I’m not sure how popular it would be tbh Essentially ya gotta be in Tokyo to find the most amount of stuff related to Zoids. A staple place is Akihabara but the problem is that everyone goes there, so while yes you’ll find a lot, you tend to not find the rarer stuff. Places where I found rarer kits were in Shinjuku, Shibuya and around Koto City. You’ll generally find random little department stores that look really generic on the outside, that’ll randomly have rare Zoid kits on the inside that they probably just can’t get rid of cause no one expects them to be there
I used to collect all the Tomy kits back in the day. But I just bought my first Kotobukiya HMM Lightning Saix, can't wait to build it. Definitely wanna get my hands on the Berserk Fury too
just got into zoids hmm kits decide to collect all the raven kits and i saw the prices for pilot version kits i was like oh shit XD so i bought the repackaged versions and decide to paint it to make it look like the pilot version

If you can manage to source one kit even if it’s not a Zoid cause they are quite pricey I’d strongly recommend it just so you can take a stab at the hobby, building kits is definitely a lot of fun. Every single one of mine are painted from when I was a kid. I was going to buy a few to paint as someone who's into models now as an adault, and damn, the prices are outrageous. The HMM's have gone down in price and the cheap Tomy one's have skyrocketed. You've got an awesome collection bro. Love it :) Edit: I'm still trying to finish ZS2 to get that info on class S for ya. In the spirit of things I'll type out the highlights of my collection too. :) My first Zoids model with the OG D-Bison. Don't know if i even have it still or not.... Though, I do remember its tail broke. And its likely missing a piece or two otherwise. My second kit was the OG Dark Horn. Same as with the D-Bison; the horns are broken. I have the OG Lightning Saix motorized kit. I have the Soul Tiger kit. For a motorized kit, its pretty nice. I have the Energy Liger as well as the Gairyuki Fury. I have the OG Geno Breaker in motorized form as well. I have the Liger Zero X in storage somewhere. I messed up when building it and put a piece together backwards by mistake. But I can't get it to come apart now either.... Not sure what its worth currently, but I do have the limited edition Mirage Fox. I can't even find the price anywhere, but I do remember owning the Decalto Dragon. It was almost an awesome kit. But I was never a fan of those "blox" style pieces. My crown jewels for my Tomy kits are a three way tie between the Ultra Saurus, Mad Thunder and Gilvader. I have a BUNCH of other Tomy kits, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what all I have. Most have been in storage for years now... On the HMM side, I have the Gunsniper Leena special, Molga, Lightning Saix, Liger Zero Schneider (Hate that kit due to its loose armor pieces), Saber Tiger (red), Shadow Fox and Fire Fox, Sturm Tyrann, Psycho Saurer, Iron Kong PK and my crown jewel; Gojulas the Ogre. Like with the Tomy kits, I'm probably forgetting one or two, but yeah. Due to your video on the different saurer Zoids, I have now placed an order for the Geno Saurer bone color edition. (Didn't know that was a thing before and boy is it nice looking.) I have yet to build the PK or the Foxes. I don't have shelf space and due to my current living situation, I can't just buy another shelf. At some point Ill be able to display them proudly. I regret building the Gojulas, Sturm Tyrann and frankly my other HMMs in general because keeping them safe is hard. I have no space for the kits I just mentioned so they are built, but in their box hap hazardly. I do want to get another Gojulas the Ogre at some point, but i'm not exactly keen on spending nearly 1000 USD.... lol EDIT: Also, I agree with you, I would LOVE an HMM Elephander. I don't care about the price tag, but I REALLY want an HMM Ultra Saurus. But specifically the one from Guardian Force with the Gravity Cannon. I'll gladly pay 1000+ for that. I want to get the Liger Zero X HMM at some point. I've been contemplating the Death Stinger, but I dunno. Currently, I'm only interested in HMM kits, and only the larger ones at that.
That’s a pretty awesome collection man, I’m the same with the Tomy Zoids there were heaps in this video I forgot I even had and even some that are probably stuffed in a box somewhere I couldn’t find. The HMM’s are definitely where it’s at though, I can’t see myself ever buying another Tomy Zoid it’s just not the same. Space is such an issue though, ultimately space and getting it back to Australia were the main reasons I didn’t take a Gojulas the Ogre back with me from Japan, it was really cheap too, only about 580aud but it was just way too big and I didn’t feel like struggling to get it home hahaha The big Tomy kits are pretty cool though hey, and HMM’s of the Ultrasauras and Death Saurer would be absolutely massive, but would definitely look fantastic, I’d pay some pretty good money for those too

Though, I can't bring myself to getting rid of any kits either. I might consider taking the old Tomy ones and painting them to "revive" their appearance. That toy red color of the Blade Liger is gross and looks so fake. But if I were to repaint it a darker red and with that glossy metalic finish, then sure. Like I said, because of your video, I just ordered the Geno Saurer bone color edition. I plan to order a Liger Zero Empire version soon, and I might consider the Saber Fang Gold.
I love the supernova za kits, I bought the massive death stinger and hayate liger. I almost wouldn’t even call them bootleg because they’re made in the exact same factory as the hmm kotobukiya lmao
Ha yeah the supernova ones have been pretty great, still need to get around to building the other 2, Genesis Ligers I’ve only finished the Murasame. The quality doesn’t quite feel the same and they aren’t quite as detailed as HMM’s so I get the complaints, but for what they are they’re fantastic. A lot of purists don’t really like them and it’s fair enough I guess, the main issue is the profit made on these products don’t go back to the Zoids IP (from my understanding at least) which is already such a small IP that needs as much support as it can get to keep Zoids alive. My main justification for getting the ‘bootleg’ Genesis kits is cause I’m almost certain Koto will never make them, and if they prove me wrong I’ll just buy the Koto ones too haha

Glad to see you managed to keep most of your TOMY kits. I was pretty bad at taking care of my toys back then, and I lived in a house that didn't really care about my kits either. I lost nearly all of my kits years ago via people who cleaned my room haphazardly and just toppled them off my old shelf. Only bits and pieces of my BLOX Zoids remain. I only have two complete Zoids left here now-a Kotobukiya ZOIDS D-Style Blade Liger (Flash Metal Blue Chrome Ver.) and a bootleg HMM Blade Liger AB lmao
deoxys101 the Gairyuki is honestly one of the nicest Tomy kits they made and the design is just great. I’d say I’m too attached to get rid of the Tomy kits if I’m honest, I’m also lucky my parents really knew how attached I was to them as a kid and never got rid of them, although it’s a shame because I don’t really display them anymore as they just look kind of odd next to the HMM’s. Perhaps I might end up using them for dioramas or something cool like that in the future, or maybe they’ll just sit in storage until I have kids and cause I’ve already had my fair share of fun with em as a kid so I wouldn’t really care if they got wrecked from some more play time, at the very least it would give them a second life as appose to collecting dust.
Very nice collection! The large model kits are really nice. Ive recently started a small zoids collection myself. but mine are the mini collection figures and the gashapon mini figures. sadly they do not have any mobility but look great as a collection set. The Zoids are of the empire and republic factions from chaotic century. Dude, I also have some of the manga but only like 5 issues, they are great and different story from the anime too. Ah Ebay prices. Yeah no wonder why it looks all so criminally expensive. ($750 for the Geno Breaker Raven Ver.for instance is Way overpriced. I got mine for like $120 with probably around $40 on customs and shipping.) I order them straight out of Japan and save allot on money. Most of the kits are under the $100 with the exception of limited editions and some variants. Also they will go even cheaper with the re-releases.
Amazing collection! I just recently got back into zoids my self, though their expense in comparison to Gunpla or Transformers has kept me from diving too much into them. Most of my old Zoids are in storage too. I noticed you didn't have anything from Zoids Wild, do you not plan on getting any of those and focus mainly on HMM kits? Sorry if this has been asked before.
Rodimus13 Shelf Space thanks man! Yeah if I’m perfectly honest I’m not too keen on the designs from Wild, some of the ones in Wild Zero are a bit better, and if they make HMM’s of those I’d probably pick a couple up, but yeah I’m definitely a lot more into the HMM designs rather than the Tomy ones.
I got the death stinger as my first hmm. It’s pretty easy to build other than the 8 legs and doesn’t fall apart at least compared to what I hear with the other kits.
Man here I am having a whinge about doing x4 parts for legs, doing x8 would’ve been a punish for the death stinger haha I may have to get one at some point in the future they definitely look really awesome
@@Viseak yeah idk why not, especially since it has a twin kit called double arm lizard (also know as D.A.lizard) this one comes in white and lacks a special cannon that only comes with shadow arm
i still have my attack cat . rev raptor. a molga. storch the cat and storch are full but the rest are missing a few parts the storch is a Zenebas Empire flying zoid i got all of these when i was a kid so they could look better... i do love em but with these covid times i would totaly sell em for food...
I’ve considered it, but I’ve never had the guts to do it yet hahaha It scares me to do irreversible changes to a kit I paid $150+ for especially if they don’t turn out the way I thought they would. I’m considering trying it out on the Supernova kits though as they were a lot cheaper haha
I don’t think the Zero X is up for preorder just yet. When it comes to kits I guess it just depends what country you’re from, the easiest place is Hobby Link Japan. If you’re in Australia you can look at places like the 105th Armory and Gundam Express Australia. Otherwise you can look on Yahoo Auctions Japan but it’s a bit of a pain to get things exported overseas from there.

I shudder to think how much my collection would cost if I had to buy every single one new again... T_T I had the opportunity as a kid to pick between a Hasbro Berserk Fury and some PS2 Tom and Jerry game at Toys R Us. My parents would've gotten the Berserk Fury for me too, but my dumb self picked the video game. I still regret the decision to this day 16 years later.

I really dont like Zoids Wild...I hate the fact that they aren't actually piloting them and that they are tiny compared to literally any other zoids from the rest of the animes.
I can't stand the HMM kits to be honest, they are too expensive, the plastic is weaker than the motorized kits. I bought the D-Style Command Wolf and something snapped in the neck when I was putting it together. Thankfully it can still move but that was the first and last Kotobukiya kits I will purchase. And those little balls in the paws that are used for posing are so damn annoying because they pop out when you are trying to pose the model just the right way. I'm just going to stick to the motorized kits.
I agree they’re definitely expensive especially compared to their Bandai Gunpla counterparts, but in my opinion the quality of the kits compared to the old Motorised kits is far superior and really justify the price. I’ve never actually built a D-Style kit though so maybe they made some quality compromises on those kits but I really can’t comment there, all I know is the D-Styles were some of the first kits Kotobukiya produced so they probably didn’t go together perfectly like the original Blade Liger and Saber Fang HMM’s. Sucks to hear you didn’t seem to have a good experience with them though, throughout all the kits I’ve build I’ve had nothing but good things to say.
Awesome kits. I picked up both the Yamato Shield Ligers & recently the Hagane Blade Liger which are loaded with Chogokin. I build Master Grade & Perfect Grade Gundam kits and never have attempted a Zoid kit. My favorite Liger is the Blade Liger....can you recommend a kit which is still available for MSRP?
Thanks man! Zoids are definitely a fun build and typically I’d place the complexity between an MG and PG. You should still be able to find a Blade Liger AB at retail as it got a re-release last year, the base liger zero is another one that always seems to be available.

It also would be amazing if Chaotic Century and New Century got re-released officially with Eng Subs uncensored versions. So many Animes from early 2000 that got watered down when brought over to the West like Medabots. I'm personally on the hunt for a physical copy of the New Century Soundtrack, so difficult to find! Probably the only way is to go to Japan.

It’s never too late to grab some HMM’s, you’d just need to get some of the new releases if you want to keep the prices low. A season 2 of New Century would be fantastic but I guess I’m pretty doubtful for it ever happening at this point. The closest thing to a re-release we’d get would probably be the blu-Ray boxes but man are they ever ridiculously expensive and of course it’s not like they’re subbed, but hey personally I’ve watched both New and Chaotic century more times than I can count so I wouldn’t need to understand a single thing to comprehend the story haha That soundtrack will definitely be difficult to track down, I didn’t see a copy in Japan personally but to be fair I wasn’t exactly looking for it, so for all I know it could’ve been right in front of my eyes many times, good luck with the search though!
DredgenMyra the main place I use to be able to find them was at Hobbyco in the QVB, however, I haven’t been there in at least a year so they might not stock them anymore Otherwise you can check your local hobby stores, at one point my local Gametraders had a few kits which is where I found my Iron Kong PK
every time I see content on Zoids, especially model kits, it makes me happy cause eventually it will lead to Kotobukiya in making more due to demand. We still need an HMM Konig Wolf and Gairyuki Fury!

So, I have a few kits in my collection that I never got around to building. I'm a bit more interested in parting with some of these than building them (I don't have the room anymore considering the current already built collection). Any suggestions about how I could go about offering these for sale with the Zoids community? The models I have that are unbuilt are: Mad Thunder, Gojulas Giga, a blue Blade Liger, Desert Shield Liger, Elephander, Pterorayse, Arosaurer, Iguanasaur, Sledge Head, Rev Raptor, Saberlion, Molga, and a Gusak. Some of these are Tomy Japanese releases, like the Mad Thunder, blue Blade Liger, Desert Shield Liger, Pterorayse, Arosaurer, and Saberlion. The others are the Hasbro releases. The Desert Shield Liger has some Nintendo Gamecube logos on it, because I believe it came with the Zoids VS II game, which I also have. And I have Zoids VS I and III for the Gamecube, as well as Zoids: Full Metal Crash. All of the Zoids games mentioned are Japanese releases.
The best place to go would definitely be the Zoids subreddit and discord!
Plenty of Zoids fans from all over the world there who’d be interested in some old gems. As a side note for you, I wouldn’t go off the pricing I used in this video, a lot of them are dated now and some were quite quite warped even for the time due to a bit of ignorance and lack of research on my part, didn’t realise there were quite a few other avenues to get these kits for cheaper but what can ya do

Generally Yahoo Auctions Japan is the cheapest place you’re going to find any of these kits from my knowledge at the least, just because Japan has such a large supply of the kits. eBay in particular definitely has some scalpers in comparison as not everyone can/knows about/feels comfortable ordering from yahoo auctions so gets sucked into paying a bit of a premium.

Honestly if you searched hard enough through maybe Facebook marketplace listings you could probably find them a lot cheaper, but then they probably wouldn’t be new and sealed.
I don’t actually have any of those older Zoids no, the oldest I have is definitely the Tomy Version of Irvine’s command wolf from the 99 line
I'm so sad my 80's kits got damaged... I had the Zoidzilla and the Krark.... The little ones I can still salvage but the bigger ones have broken parts, leaked batteries and such.
Glad I rediscovered the franchise though. I got some of the new ones and building the Wild Liger at the moment.
If you try again, could you either use a photo box or maybe put the zoids in focus. I came to see zoids and you only frame and focus on your face.
This brings back memories, me and my brother used to collect the old windup/battery operated zoids as kids in the 90s, we played the shit out of them, sadly we couldn't bring them when we migrated to Australia. My favourite from my collection was Gogulas Giga, because of the two position you can choose from when it's lit up. This reminds me, I have to find time and get around to building my HMM Gogulas and gundam kits.
Ha the battery operated kits were definitely fun to play around with, which is why most of mine are all banged up haha

The Leoblaze and Unenlagia were available in black as a recolored version of the D.A. Lizard.
This reminds me of my zoids collection. I repeatedly insisted they were models and to be handled with care, but they kept calling them toys. I had them from age 13 until age 22. My folks threw them into a box and put them in storage while I was away from home for a few years. When I got back for a bit (about 3 years later) to officially move my stuff out, all of them were destroyed within the box, to the point they had to be thrown out. I was devastated. It's unlikely I'll ever replace them =[

the black leo blaze came with a black uneglerffbqiuef (idk what its name is but its the gunsniper blocks zoid) to form a lizard fuzor. they were black so that the fuzed kit wouldnt look gaudy.

I have a few of the motorized models, and the HMM of the red Saber Fang. It's beautiful, but was a pain to assemble due to the center connections not locking in very well.
Only model kit I own is a Dark Horn. And I have no idea what actually happened to it. My mom bought it for me in the early 00's at a Walmart (one near where my aunt and uncle live, not one near me, so I don't actually know/remember if the ones closer to me actually had any). Also don't remember whether they only had the dark horn there or if they had anything else.
Should still be in my parents' basement somewhere, but last time I looked I couldn't find it.

My Hasbro Energy Liger decided to split his head in two and give me a terrible time trying to put it back on..The jaw was the hardest thing to keep in place. It kept falling out..I'm lucky enough to have found a new in box one at a local secondhand shop. I don't want to build it since it is rare to get them cheap. But if my built one bites the dust, I might have to.
I wish I can collect all the HMM Liger zero kits too. I have the default Liger Zero. Wish I can get the Schneider this year. Any news on when Koto would might reprint those?

I just realized that this video is 3 years old. I havent been to Japan since 2018. I'm sure Akihabara has changed over time. Is there a particular shop there where you get these kits? or are they easy to find in multiple shops?
I pieced the DVD's together over a span of 3 years on ebay. I got alot of them for under 30 bucks. The most I payed for 1 one was volume 5. I waited 2 years for them to drop the price and I finally snagged it for 80. Disclaimer I only have about half of the original cases is why they were so cheap
Matt Neal damn that’s not a bad pickup at all still, I waited over a span of maybe a year or two to pick everything up.
Admittedly there are some volumes like 1.13 and 1.11 that I paid a bit over $100 for, but then I got lucky with 1.15 with some cash converters type company that just listed it on eBay for $15, as well as a couple lucky auctions.
I was expecting the Zoids from the 80s.

I'm so envious of your DVD collection! I have a handful of VHSs and DVDs and really wish I had bought them ages ago when they weren't 10 zillion dollars. I actually remember Crazy Clarks selling them back when that store existed.
I do have up to volume 11 of the manga though and again...should have got the rest when they were cheaper but thank-god for the Iron Bible.

Man I completely forgot Crazy Clarks even existed I never really thought to go there to check for Zoids DVD’s, I would always scout closing down blockbusters and managed to get one or two of the later volumes from there.
I’m envious of how much of the manga you have though, I definitely want to complete it but I really can’t justify the inflated price, better off learning Japanese and grabbing the Jap copies haha, but yeah, thankfully the Iron Bible exists.

Essentially ya gotta be in Tokyo to find the most amount of stuff related to Zoids. A staple place is Akihabara but the problem is that everyone goes there, so while yes you’ll find a lot, you tend to not find the rarer stuff.
Places where I found rarer kits were in Shinjuku, Shibuya and around Koto City. You’ll generally find random little department stores that look really generic on the outside, that’ll randomly have rare Zoid kits on the inside that they probably just can’t get rid of cause no one expects them to be there
I used to collect all the Tomy kits back in the day. But I just bought my first Kotobukiya HMM Lightning Saix, can't wait to build it. Definitely wanna get my hands on the Berserk Fury too
just got into zoids hmm kits decide to collect all the raven kits and i saw the prices for pilot version kits i was like oh shit XD so i bought the repackaged versions and decide to paint it to make it look like the pilot version

Kalep Scott sorry to hear about that man. If you can manage to source one kit even if it’s not a Zoid cause they are quite pricey I’d strongly recommend it just so you can take a stab at the hobby, building kits is definitely a lot of fun.

Gundams are an easy in and usually kinda cheap for the HG models. I've found them a couple places and you can order them online pretty easy too
Every single one of mine are painted from when I was a kid. I was going to buy a few to paint as someone who's into models now as an adault, and damn, the prices are outrageous. The HMM's have gone down in price and the cheap Tomy one's have skyrocketed. You've got an awesome collection bro. Love it :)

My first Zoids model with the OG D-Bison. Don't know if i even have it still or not.... Though, I do remember its tail broke. And its likely missing a piece or two otherwise. My second kit was the OG Dark Horn. Same as with the D-Bison; the horns are broken.
I have the OG Lightning Saix motorized kit. I have the Soul Tiger kit. For a motorized kit, its pretty nice. I have the Energy Liger as well as the Gairyuki Fury. I have the OG Geno Breaker in motorized form as well.
I have the Liger Zero X in storage somewhere. I messed up when building it and put a piece together backwards by mistake. But I can't get it to come apart now either....
Not sure what its worth currently, but I do have the limited edition Mirage Fox. I can't even find the price anywhere, but I do remember owning the Decalto Dragon. It was almost an awesome kit. But I was never a fan of those "blox" style pieces.
My crown jewels for my Tomy kits are a three way tie between the Ultra Saurus, Mad Thunder and Gilvader.
I have a BUNCH of other Tomy kits, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what all I have. Most have been in storage for years now...
On the HMM side, I have the Gunsniper Leena special, Molga, Lightning Saix, Liger Zero Schneider (Hate that kit due to its loose armor pieces), Saber Tiger (red), Shadow Fox and Fire Fox, Sturm Tyrann, Psycho Saurer, Iron Kong PK and my crown jewel; Gojulas the Ogre.
Like with the Tomy kits, I'm probably forgetting one or two, but yeah. Due to your video on the different saurer Zoids, I have now placed an order for the Geno Saurer bone color edition. (Didn't know that was a thing before and boy is it nice looking.)
I have yet to build the PK or the Foxes. I don't have shelf space and due to my current living situation, I can't just buy another shelf. At some point Ill be able to display them proudly.
I regret building the Gojulas, Sturm Tyrann and frankly my other HMMs in general because keeping them safe is hard. I have no space for the kits I just mentioned so they are built, but in their box hap hazardly. I do want to get another Gojulas the Ogre at some point, but i'm not exactly keen on spending nearly 1000 USD.... lol
EDIT: Also, I agree with you, I would LOVE an HMM Elephander.
I don't care about the price tag, but I REALLY want an HMM Ultra Saurus. But specifically the one from Guardian Force with the Gravity Cannon. I'll gladly pay 1000+ for that.
I want to get the Liger Zero X HMM at some point. I've been contemplating the Death Stinger, but I dunno. Currently, I'm only interested in HMM kits, and only the larger ones at that.
That’s a pretty awesome collection man, I’m the same with the Tomy Zoids there were heaps in this video I forgot I even had and even some that are probably stuffed in a box somewhere I couldn’t find.
The HMM’s are definitely where it’s at though, I can’t see myself ever buying another Tomy Zoid it’s just not the same. Space is such an issue though, ultimately space and getting it back to Australia were the main reasons I didn’t take a Gojulas the Ogre back with me from Japan, it was really cheap too, only about 580aud but it was just way too big and I didn’t feel like struggling to get it home hahaha
The big Tomy kits are pretty cool though hey, and HMM’s of the Ultrasauras and Death Saurer would be absolutely massive, but would definitely look fantastic, I’d pay some pretty good money for those too

I wish my Tomy kits weren't so beat up, but I also kinda don't care now. Like we both just said, i only really like the hmm kits now. Though, I can't bring myself to getting rid of any kits either. I might consider taking the old Tomy ones and painting them to "revive" their appearance. That toy red color of the Blade Liger is gross and looks so fake. But if I were to repaint it a darker red and with that glossy metalic finish, then sure.
Like I said, because of your video, I just ordered the Geno Saurer bone color edition.
I plan to order a Liger Zero Empire version soon, and I might consider the Saber Fang Gold.
I love the supernova za kits, I bought the massive death stinger and hayate liger. I almost wouldn’t even call them bootleg because they’re made in the exact same factory as the hmm kotobukiya lmao
Ha yeah the supernova ones have been pretty great, still need to get around to building the other 2, Genesis Ligers I’ve only finished the Murasame.
The quality doesn’t quite feel the same and they aren’t quite as detailed as HMM’s so I get the complaints, but for what they are they’re fantastic.
A lot of purists don’t really like them and it’s fair enough I guess, the main issue is the profit made on these products don’t go back to the Zoids IP (from my understanding at least) which is already such a small IP that needs as much support as it can get to keep Zoids alive.
My main justification for getting the ‘bootleg’ Genesis kits is cause I’m almost certain Koto will never make them, and if they prove me wrong I’ll just buy the Koto ones too haha

The scaling of it is way better than the HMM, the thing is suppose to be huge and the Supernova one definitely captures that

Glad to see you managed to keep most of your TOMY kits. I was pretty bad at taking care of my toys back then, and I lived in a house that didn't really care about my kits either. I lost nearly all of my kits years ago via people who cleaned my room haphazardly and just toppled them off my old shelf. Only bits and pieces of my BLOX Zoids remain.
I only have two complete Zoids left here now-a Kotobukiya ZOIDS D-Style Blade Liger (Flash Metal Blue Chrome Ver.) and a bootleg HMM Blade Liger AB lmao
deoxys101 the Gairyuki is honestly one of the nicest Tomy kits they made and the design is just great.
I’d say I’m too attached to get rid of the Tomy kits if I’m honest, I’m also lucky my parents really knew how attached I was to them as a kid and never got rid of them, although it’s a shame because I don’t really display them anymore as they just look kind of odd next to the HMM’s.
Perhaps I might end up using them for dioramas or something cool like that in the future, or maybe they’ll just sit in storage until I have kids and cause I’ve already had my fair share of fun with em as a kid so I wouldn’t really care if they got wrecked from some more play time, at the very least it would give them a second life as appose to collecting dust.

Ive recently started a small zoids collection myself. but mine are the mini collection figures and the gashapon mini figures. sadly they do not have any mobility but look great as a collection set. The Zoids are of the empire and republic factions from chaotic century. Dude, I also have some of the manga but only like 5 issues, they are great and different story from the anime too. Ah Ebay prices. Yeah no wonder why it looks all so criminally expensive. ($750 for the Geno Breaker Raven Ver.for instance is Way overpriced. I got mine for like $120 with probably around $40 on customs and shipping.) I order them straight out of Japan and save allot on money. Most of the kits are under the $100 with the exception of limited editions and some variants. Also they will go even cheaper with the re-releases.

Amazing collection! I just recently got back into zoids my self, though their expense in comparison to Gunpla or Transformers has kept me from diving too much into them. Most of my old Zoids are in storage too.
I noticed you didn't have anything from Zoids Wild, do you not plan on getting any of those and focus mainly on HMM kits? Sorry if this has been asked before.
Rodimus13 Shelf Space thanks man! Yeah if I’m perfectly honest I’m not too keen on the designs from Wild, some of the ones in Wild Zero are a bit better, and if they make HMM’s of those I’d probably pick a couple up, but yeah I’m definitely a lot more into the HMM designs rather than the Tomy ones.

I got the death stinger as my first hmm. It’s pretty easy to build other than the 8 legs and doesn’t fall apart at least compared to what I hear with the other kits.
Man here I am having a whinge about doing x4 parts for legs, doing x8 would’ve been a punish for the death stinger haha
I may have to get one at some point in the future they definitely look really awesome
Black leoblaze is actually from the shadow arm lizard kit which is legalize and uninlagia fuzed together in black

@@Viseak yeah idk why not, especially since it has a twin kit called double arm lizard (also know as D.A.lizard) this one comes in white and lacks a special cannon that only comes with shadow arm

When it comes to kits I guess it just depends what country you’re from, the easiest place is Hobby Link Japan. If you’re in Australia you can look at places like the 105th Armory and Gundam Express Australia.
Otherwise you can look on Yahoo Auctions Japan but it’s a bit of a pain to get things exported overseas from there.
The black leoblaze is probably because it is part of the Shadow Arm Lizard kit

I shudder to think how much my collection would cost if I had to buy every single one new again... T_T I had the opportunity as a kid to pick between a Hasbro Berserk Fury and some PS2 Tom and Jerry game at Toys R Us. My parents would've gotten the Berserk Fury for me too, but my dumb self picked the video game. I still regret the decision to this day 16 years later.

That Bootleg Supernova is quite expensive dude in our Country Philippines its only cost around 24usd.
Damn that’s pretty cheap dude, I got mine imported from Malaysia, lowest price I could find was around 50-60 USD plus shipping ended up making it pretty expensive.
Still cheaper than the HMM kits though haha

I really dont like Zoids Wild...I hate the fact that they aren't actually piloting them and that they are tiny compared to literally any other zoids from the rest of the animes.
I can't stand the HMM kits to be honest, they are too expensive, the plastic is weaker than the motorized kits. I bought the D-Style Command Wolf and something snapped in the neck when I was putting it together. Thankfully it can still move but that was the first and last Kotobukiya kits I will purchase. And those little balls in the paws that are used for posing are so damn annoying because they pop out when you are trying to pose the model just the right way. I'm just going to stick to the motorized kits.
I agree they’re definitely expensive especially compared to their Bandai Gunpla counterparts, but in my opinion the quality of the kits compared to the old Motorised kits is far superior and really justify the price. I’ve never actually built a D-Style kit though so maybe they made some quality compromises on those kits but I really can’t comment there, all I know is the D-Styles were some of the first kits Kotobukiya produced so they probably didn’t go together perfectly like the original Blade Liger and Saber Fang HMM’s.
Sucks to hear you didn’t seem to have a good experience with them though, throughout all the kits I’ve build I’ve had nothing but good things to say.

Awesome kits. I picked up both the Yamato Shield Ligers & recently the Hagane Blade Liger which are loaded with Chogokin. I build Master Grade & Perfect Grade Gundam kits and never have attempted a Zoid kit. My favorite Liger is the Blade Liger....can you recommend a kit which is still available for MSRP?
Thanks man! Zoids are definitely a fun build and typically I’d place the complexity between an MG and PG.
You should still be able to find a Blade Liger AB at retail as it got a re-release last year, the base liger zero is another one that always seems to be available.

I'm still hanging onto Season 2 of New Century. It also would be amazing if Chaotic Century and New Century got re-released officially with Eng Subs uncensored versions. So many Animes from early 2000 that got watered down when brought over to the West like Medabots. I'm personally on the hunt for a physical copy of the New Century Soundtrack, so difficult to find! Probably the only way is to go to Japan.

Cool to see you’ve still got some of the og kits in good condition! It’s never too late to grab some HMM’s, you’d just need to get some of the new releases if you want to keep the prices low.
A season 2 of New Century would be fantastic but I guess I’m pretty doubtful for it ever happening at this point. The closest thing to a re-release we’d get would probably be the blu-Ray boxes but man are they ever ridiculously expensive and of course it’s not like they’re subbed, but hey personally I’ve watched both New and Chaotic century more times than I can count so I wouldn’t need to understand a single thing to comprehend the story haha
That soundtrack will definitely be difficult to track down, I didn’t see a copy in Japan personally but to be fair I wasn’t exactly looking for it, so for all I know it could’ve been right in front of my eyes many times, good luck with the search though!
