Hi Rick & Jamie, the Homer rescue is one of my all time favorite videos of yours , what a cool truck & the truck hauler trailer is really sweet too didn’t take Jamie long to dig in and start cleaning, yep she’s a keeper , God bless & have a great Sunday 😀😀
I love the 59 chevy truck look ! I had a half ton, but sold it to make room for my 46 chevy half ton. Couldn't resist the 46's beauty when I ran into it. I think the 46 was the most stylish, and awesome truck ever designed !!!
I saw a Green 1 1\2 ton Jimmy in guys yard outside Indy 25 miles near my home grain bed I wanted to buy it....it was emerald green in prwtty fair shape I LOVE OLD TRUCKS!!. The first thing I drove 11 years old one and a half ton Chevy 1941 model...I sure miss my Father he let me drive at a very young age...RIP Dad..
Rick..helluva job...got a good friend in Steve..and Brian reminds me of Paul Bunyon..beautiful day doing what you love to do..and nobody got hurt...can't get much better than that..Rich
+iamrichrocker Steve is an awesome friend. Tells it like it is and does what he says he will do. He's one of those people you are always glad to see. As far as Brian goes, I respected the man from the start, and my respect for him only grew when I confirmed how honest his description of the Tow Truck was. Two good guys. Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
You folks are not only bringing these great old trucks back to life, you're helping to preserve America's history one rig at a time. Thank you and keep up the great work! These old woods rescues are a blast to watch!
I like going back watching the move series from time to time ! When I was laid up after being in auto accident in 2015 they help keep me be entertained and positive during recovery !!
You Guys are so much fun , I loved watching this one, a real adventure in the woods. Jamie is really 1 in a million, that is for sure, Both of you always find the good in stuff, and are always smileing, makes you fun to watch, Thanks...
+joel mccoin well, it works both ways. Your comments are always positive and encouraging. It really helps and makes all the work worthwhile. Thanks Again Fer watchin' -Rick
You Guys Are E'Fing AWESOME! You're A Super Couple and Your Passion as a Chevy Ole' Truck Preservationist is Unparalleled! I just started watching you guys yesterday as I just bought a 1958 Chevrolet C60/C10 Viking Flatbed Dump Truck and was looking for inspiration and ideas and such (and found it in you guys!) Classic Truck Rescue going to watch these videos for awhile. I’d love to still have my dads old 1966 Dodge D100 and my old 1984 Dodge D350. I miss those trucks. Loved them more than my Super Duty
Hello I had a 1959 cab over engine Viking 60 red one same color as this one 283 with double hump heads on it totally stock other than that it was my tow truck had a homemade bed on it i'm 67 years old now but i still miss my chevy thank you for the photo video
+Classic Truck Rescue Watched it and it was great LOL, I used to work for a tow company that had some really really old trucks man those things still know how to work.
I came for the tow truck... But Geeked out over that dragline shovel he had! You don't see very many draglines anymore. Also kinda cool seeing that skidder pull the tow truck out. I grew up around those skidders when i was younger. We lived around the logging industry and it wasn't uncommon to see those things dragging logs out the mud I'll bet I'm the only 18 year old on UA-cam who can say that though.
Does my heart good to know you enjoyed it....Just between you and I...Homer is my favorite part of this rescue...just because I still have him...but I'd give a finger to have that old shovel..Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue Yes sir! I'm thankful for folks like you who rescue those trucks from the ground. It's a shame to them rot in the dirt and the weeds. I think you scored a good one on Homer. Thanks for making videos friend
+Nigel Wankel God is Good and Great. I can do all things through Christ. Phillipians 4:13. He owns all the cattle on all the hills and all the tow trucks and trailers in the bushes. Fer Real. Peace-Out...-Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue HEY RICK, I just watched the vd on the tow truck. I was surprised and amazed to see the marquet {sp} crane. I have one thats from the mid 40s called a manual crane that has a hand cranked winch on it. ours are not the same but yours is the only other one i have ever seen! mine was mounted on a 47 chevy 3/4 ton i used for a tow rig for about 10 years. If know where to get infro on it please pass it on. love your vds keep it up.
She says she likes guy stuff, but still likes girly things too. PLUS she supports (and apparently shares) your passion for old trucks. Sounds like ONE heck of a lady and it's great that you appreciate her. Keep up the good work!
Nice video and I love seeing these old trucks rescued. When I was a kid on the farm we had a '55 snub nose with a 16' frame we used for farm and sawmill duties. It had a 3 speed with granny low all powered by a little 283. That thing would pull anything. You may not be the first one there, but you'd get there with anything you loaded on it. I drove it all through my teenage years all the way through college. When I went off to the Air Force my dad retired and sold the old truck. But does anyone else see the irony of the big "bad" monster Ford tapping out and having the little "stock" farm truck finish it's work? LOL
The Columbia River,,,lol, I live near the source of that. That old shovel/ crane looked like the "SNORT" from DR. Suess. Wasps like big old winches, eh Jamie? That was a nice loading. The Viking coming home, lol, Homer. Those old trucks probably met each other out on the road 50 years ago. I'm happy that you can save them. Very groovy tractor, baby yeah!
Great Video & Great Adventure!! The Things We Do Out Of Passion For Vehicles!! I Thought We Were The Only Crazy Ones Where All Of Our Vehicles Have Names!! Best Of Luck To You Guys!!
+Charise Schwerzler Your Uncle is an awesome man. I wish more of the people I deal with were like him. He really wanted to make sure this truck went to a good home and went out of his way to make it happen. Just a solid, straight-shooting individual. I am glad Homer is back on the road too, He's got his work cut out for him. Thank you and please share the video with Brian if you have the chance. -Rick
Awesome video !!! WOW, the neat things going on in this video. You know what they say, once you get old rust in your veins, you can't get it out, LOL......
+IronClad292 its a sickness. But hey, it makes me smile and pays the bills (not always on time)...but it pays them..and I sleep good at night...if I'm not workin'....Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Your sweetheart wife looks like actress Angie Dickinson from the 70's. She's such good wife when she starts clean the truck with out even asking her to do it. She's A Keeper. Nice old tow truck to repair and fix up. GOD BLESS.
MAN, what a cool truck! And that trailer is sure gonna come in handy, and the portable spray rig/air compressor at the new ranch. Brilliant !!! Keep on truckin'! :)
That's a cool Chevy Viking 60 Tow truck Rick. here in B.C. I've also saw one of those cable driven Excavator's there pretty sweet. Can't wait to see that Chevy Viking tow truck running. Hey maybe some day & Jamie will find a old 1958-59 Chevy-Gmc Viking school bus. Cheers Rick Jamie peace out
+69ChevroletNova a school bus is actually on our 'Must Find" list for the collection of 1955-1959 Chevy and GMC "Worker" Trucks that we are putting together. No need to wait to see 'Homer" Running though. You can see that by watching 'Part 2" of the Homer video, or by watching 'Homer's First Haul". He's already out doing what we intended him to do. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
man you are SO LUCKY to have a wife that likes old trucks as much as you do. My ex would always complain about me "Bringing another piece of junk" home lol
Jamie has always been supportive to me...and I have always been supportive about what She is passionate about. She knows more about cars and trucks than 95% of my friends. So yes, I am lucky. That's why I asked her to marry me. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I see this video is a few years old, so don't know the current status of Homer, but that is one awesome truck. I just love the shape of the boom on the back. Also, that is a great setup, pulling that trailer with the tow truck so you have the winch and all. Thanks for sharing this. Very nice!
I "saved" a 1975 Dodge D600 that I used to drive when it was almost new. Sitting in a farmer's yard for over 20 years. After a year it runs like a top!
Homer is an awesome truck, I'd love to resto-mod somethin like that. PLEASE OH PLEASE make play lists for your projects, Id love to follow homers progress & your other projects......Rick n Jamie,... you guys are awesome, hope the new homestead works out well.......your new fan uski59
Thank you my Friend and thank you for your encouragement. We will be sure to do updates on Homer when we get to work on restoring Him. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick

+Charles Dyer You ain't kiddin' my friend. We definitely would have been at it a lot longer if it hadn't been for all of Brian's help. Just a really great guy. thanks Fer watchin' -Rick
Recently while hunting down some parts that are not on the Market yet for our Rusty Jimmy project I went to the edge of a field to look at a 76 K5 Chevy Blazer hoping to get Brian an interior which didn't pan out the interior was the wrong color also shabby to say the least and the rest of the truck was too. However upon opening the hood I discovered a lovely fairly late model Holley single pump 800 which are pretty rare and to be in working cond like this one was I decided to go get my lunch eating a sandwich while doing my forensic eval of what parts I also wanted to get off the truck. And then this really cute Racoon decided to be friendlier than most I ever seen. I broke off half of my first sandwich and gave it to what I discovered was a young mother Racoon. She promptly took the piece of sandwich over to this ancient 67 Chevelle sitting a few feet away she gave the food to 3 babies that were living in the Chevelle's trunk, they were so cute one actually laid on the seat of the Chevelle since it had no pass side door they spent the remaining time just watching me begging me for more scraps and I didn't say no to em. I need to lose a few so I shared my lunch with em. I should have taken my camera along it was another time I was pushed for more time than I actually had to spend but I really regret not taking my camera along on that romp at the edge of that field.
Found your site by accident, love it. I have been watching a lot of your videos and they are great. Tell Jamey(sorry for the spelling) she looks great, you have a great partner there. Keep up the awesome job of rescuing and recording it for us to enjoy.
Hi Guys Great video, Own & run my own Towing company here Australia Victoria Glenburn 3717 & love old tow trucks, Keep up great work , Eddys Towing & Transport
+Ben Pratt Well, that's because the trailer was here when I made the Project 55 video, which was last week. Trust me, there isn't a team of 15 guys here. Just one guy and a really cool girl, cleaning up old trucks and getting them running when we can. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick

I'm sorry Homer
She's your better half, probably why your voice exposes that smile on your face.
She's is also know as a keeper, which comes with benefits.
Enjoy.
LOL
I had a 69 Ghia and miss it to this day. Love watching Mustie videos. Keep it up!
Kinda had me going when you unloaded "Homer"! That triple trouble goose neck needs a set of Drop Stops welded to the ramps!!! Loved the rescue video
Good call!
Cool comment. Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick

Very cool old truck. I like your tractor too. I used to have some W4 and W6’s.
Great video I like your wife how she’s all in to it take care off her not to many like that
I "saved" a 1975 Dodge D600 that I used to drive when it was almost new. Sitting in a farmer's yard for over 20 years. After a year it runs like a top!

Homer rescued again...Loved seeing it again knowing his future. Glad you didn’t name him Mater, he’s way tougher than him. 1959, just a youngster to this guy born in 1958.
