Somehow I feel like you craftily left that one soldering mistake there on purpose. With it there, showing the functionality of the provided error check board was a whole lot more educational than if everything had been perfect from the get-go.
I'm sure it seems like that but that was actually real. I thought I had them all soldered on all the way. It ended up being really good so I could show how the test board worked.
I thought the same but then I realized that the lights on or off looked the same from my phone's screen so I just had to trust our favorite technician!
@@Tronicsfix i hear ya. I've attempted fixes with ribbon cables with appliances and paintball gear. Never worked out for me haha. I am terrible with ribbon cable apparently.
Just put a kit like this by Extremerate on my Series X controller. I love it. The buttons feel and sound so good I can't stop clicking them lol. One thing I would say is be careful not to over-tighten the screws that hold the buttons to the inside of the controller. I over tightened two screws and it made little bumps on the underside of the controller. Nothing major and nothing that I can actually feel but it's still annoying that it happened.
Hmm... I did a DIWhy of this one like a year ago. This is much better but I like mine more. Keep up the great content, you and some others convinced me into getting in to repair and so far I have paid off the equipment

Honestly thank you for this video man because I have never heard of these and the Outrageous prices of pro controllers are jus make them outta hand!😉 Especially considering I would need 2 of them @ 💰150 or more! And considering the normal wear and tear that will happen over time to the sticks and Absolutely No kind of Real warranty to speak of this look to be best option for someone that’s familiar with tools can solider on a budget! Thanks again!
Great tutorial. I bought and installed mine after watching this video. I have a regular Xbox one elite controller but I felt it was missing the Bluetooth connection. I also changed my joysticks and d pad to magnetic. Also I felt a bit uneasy unsoldering the rumble motors so I left them on during the install.
Oh gosh I would love one!! I work at Sparkfun working directly with the PCBs and am very familiar with what’s necessary to fully install this. I’ll even make a video about it!!
This was a great tutorial video and a really cool mod. It's pretty cool that there is a company that offers this kind of product... But for me personally, I would prefer to just buy the Xbox pro controller (cuz I ain't got time for dat mod)
this mod saves you about a hundred bucks so unless your job is paying you 100 bucks an hour I think there's enough time also considering this mod can be done in about 30 min if your semi-experienced and have your equipment ready well you can do the math
You have the most interesting videos 👍. you should check out arcade kits because mapping the joysticks are similar. I built one a long time ago, it has 200+ retro games.
Whoa that controller design. A good bit more complicated than Xbox360 one. I can see why they did that, to get rid of the wonkiness that was the classic Xbox D-Pad. Don't appreciate a handful soldered connections like for the motors that could be plugs. Also the triggers now seem to be Hall Effect, like on the Dreamcast. Pity not the sticks too. The remap kit is remarkably well-designed to deal with this insanity though, and reasonably priced too.
THANK GOD I want the only one that had the problem with TP15. Seems like that solder point has gotten a lot of people. I had to desolder it a couple times until the light finally lit up.
I enjoyed your PlayStation video for this controller kit it still would be good if nintendo got in contact with the company to make a switch pro controller remap kit
