It's crazy that we went from plugging in a processor unit with its own separate power source, two HDMI Cables, a USB to Micro-USB Cable, and a VR Headset Connection Cable to use the PS VR to plugging in a single USB-C Cable to use the PS VR2.
Thanks so much for this video. My PSVR was broken. Whenever I would plug it in, it would turn off my PlayStation. I hadn’t used it since December 2019! Then today I decided to fix it! Turns out it was just a simple HDMI cable mix up. Thanks IGN!
Same problem happened with me, so I used the quick start guide. It helped me better. Use the quick start guide in case you didnt know what I was hinting towards.
Mythology Or whatever your name was, I got a notification you replied and I saw a little bit of it, but i can't actually see your reply. Sorry :/ It's doing it with all replies for every video recently. Oh well, probably more fan boy talk anyway
charlie77a like I play on all platforms, I just don't have a vive yet because my PC isn't good enough to work with it so I have to get a whole new PC since I can't build (for reasons I don't want to get into) and this is a cheap easy way to have VR until you can spend thousands on vive
Thanks this helped a bit, tho I have a 2nd version of the headset so it’s honestly a lot different but I got the gist of it on how to adjust and set up, as I was literally about to have a meltdown my issue was I couldn’t find the source with my tv.
Nails by Kylee it’s been so long I can’t quite remember, it’s quite insane honestly all the cords there are to connect this. But if I can roughly remember I would say mess around with the hdmi cord that connects to the tv.
perhaps the only reason I mention it is because the console has its limits versus a computer now the other two VR systems actually it's a step in the direction
So how would you use your PS4 when VR isn't in use? Do you just leave everything permanently as is, with the HDMI signal always going through the PSVR processor box?
I don't understand why you wouldn't just plug the HDMI from your TV to your PS4 into the first HDMI port on the VR, then the one that's included with PSVR from the PS4 to the PSVR. Seems pointless to go behind your TV twice.
You just unplug the hdmi from your PS4 (which is connected directly to your TV) and plug it to the PSVR Processor box, then the included HDMI Cable goes between the PS4 and the HDMI input of the PSVR processor box. That means 2 HDMI cables are needed, the one which is already connected to the TV, and another one is included with the PSVR box.
How do I connect the controllers though? I know there's still a slot open for either a dualshock, or a move controller, but no port for the 2nd move controller. Do I need the move controllers to interact in VR? Or would the camera track the motion of my body for VR? Setting up now.
PsyGnosiS well I have a PS4 but would you stop with this fanboy crap? Completely forget about the other consoles and just bloody focus on the thing itself! Who cares whether or not your for Microsoft or Sony?
The only things I don't like about this headset are all the cables and using those joystick units. But getting past it I had enjoyed playing what I can from it.
if the tech was there they wouldn't have to make a PS4 Pro and say for optimal performance use the pro. they had over 5 years and then some to improve it if u look at ign, cnet, etc so many complaints than compliments most notably the move controllers the camera the device itself on how shaky it is the clunky IP even the reviewers said the technology it's not here yet for vr yet
The tech isn't there due tot he price, you're talking about bad decisions, nothing to do with the tech being over priced for the general market, plus the vr works on the regular playstation, that would just you nitpicking. If the tech were there we wouldn't have to spend $500, it'd instead by like a $50 accessory w/ higher end options.

You don’t have to have the controllers connected the whole time, just when you’re syncing them to the console. Same goes for the DualShock.

"There".
Why is this so hard
My issue is the first thing mentioned in the video. My camera is a USB port not the AUX that goes in the back of the system
This is the most ridiculous steps for vr
Back in the day this was actually pretty simple by vr standards.
