Hi Crosby! Great video. Thanks for the promotion! You are coming to the Florida Nurse March, right? We would like you to speak and share your experiences if that's ok with you. Hope to hear from you soon. -- Belle
The nurse to patient ratio is ridiculous but with even more ridiculous is the aid to patient ratio I carry 30 a night by myself mostly Total Care patients it's a never ending circle
and the nurses are either to busy to help or too good to help. those with the too good attitude is one of the major things that took me out. here i sit with a BSN cause of so many things but one of the worse was the CNA to patient ratio, esp when the nurse doesnt help you but instead throws more work at you
Right! I have a MSN in education… to be honest.. I wasted time on that degree! That job has sooo many demands and pays nothing! Nursing is Antiquated! I am going to school to be a nail tech! I am done with nursing… to many ways to get burnt! Never thought I would be done… but it’s time to shift…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I will be attending the Nurses March. Stay Safe & Healthy... Abrazos
As long as we are expenditures for a hospital and not an asset ( since we can’t charge for services, thus make hospitals money) nothing will ever change for our profession.
Great point
I retired from nursing in August 2021. There has been a nursing shortage for all of the 43 years I worked. Our healthcare system is not working and needs an overhaul from the top down. My heart is with the nurses who are marching today. Godspeed. ♥️
I believe that LPNs should be able to join the nursing union like RNs and the facilities need to increase their pay. Also, LPNs should be allowed to work in the hospitals again.
At Sunrise Hospital I was told during at an event that they were bringing back LPN's to help their nursing shortage there.
@@jeffreyguliman5696 I live in NY .. It’s not like that here
@@sarakesten5352 I was at the BJK Tennis Ctr. make shift hospital during the initial Cov scare. We made good $$, but total taxes out were 48%. I'll never do another contract in NY again.
How so?
@@sarakesten5352 $7000/wk turned into $3500 after taxes.
We marched on Washington 20!years ago and nothing changed:(
Lol true. Best thing to do is travel nurse save money and get a new career out of the Beast (Healthcare).
Why is no one mentioning the foreigners brought in to hold down nurse pay? ????????????
there has been shortages and you're worrying about foreigners. if they're doing equivalent tasks, I don't see the problem. The pay has to increase for everyone. when i was a green card holder, my pay was soooo less than everyone even though (The pay should be equal) I worked very hard and better than some laz...ppl, and that was when I was CNA. your idea is not getting ppl, but complaining about shortage. This is no different than travel agency in the country they're not even foreigners, but the wages is high because hospital/facilities can't keep employees. Foreigner is not really the issue. so, i won't look at them like they're stealing jobs or something. they work just as much. every nurses despite foreigners or not should be equal in the eye of the health system. they go through what you go through why not support each others.
We have contract nurses and they make more than what I made working in Acute Dialysis in MT as a staff nurse.
hello, nothing to do with the video, but I couldn't find your email. I would like to take your course to set up a travel nursing 'company'. However, I am Canadian (currently undergoing licensing in Michigan) does your process work with international nurses?
Hi Laura you can email @ crosby@thenomadnurses.org or call me 850-445-3300 and I can answer your questions
if they can cap pay in any area, they can cap rent and utility prices.
Nomad Nurse do a show from March on DC!
Flying from Florida to go to it!
Allowing LVNs to sit for the NCLEX is a great idea.
LVN school is half the cost of RN
LPNs do sit for the NCLEX-PN I think.
@@starfoxx5862 If you know where, let me know.
When are they going to find the time to have a march?
Good question😂 There would be Not a lot of Nurses working on that day! I’m coming.
I hardly had time for the restroom.
My fellow travel nurse is going before he starts his contract.
