Fantastic work, that's an unusual and yet still faithful way to adapt the essence of the scene, the only thing that could be added I think is maybe more sound effects to the 2nd black page. Maybe the top row would be complete silence as the three men freeze in shock then sounds kick in, heavy breathing sounds, fiddling sounds, clicking sounds, bumping sounds, splashing sounds, even dialog balloons emerging from the darkness as the three men panic an start fiddling with their equipment in the dark, bump into each other and the walls and express their frustration and panic through maybe profanity or jumbled dialog.
Loved this one!!! Just an IMHO - For lights it could be more horrifiying if every panel there'll be zoom out and : 1) click... leaves 2 lights 2) click.. leaves one light 3)click - only small countours of workers in a complete darkness standing shocked ....

I started to draw only 2 years ago (22 yo) and I thought I was too late to the party seeing that all the people have been drawing their entire life!! Keep going!! I love this channel so much!! I really love that format of video ! Have you ever thought that some old comic books like Tintin, first X-men stories or some other early comic books would be tell in a totally different way if a same scene was show in a modern comic book style ? In a way, it's a bit the situation which appears when we compare the old Tintin comic book to his animation serie of our childhood, where camera angles are totally different. If you like that idea, i would be super interested to see how a very old comic book script could be interpreted with modern codes. Thank you for your wonderfull work !! :)

I would have added at 8:41 that this second page, should arrive on "odd" page, therefore when reader turn the first page he will be surprised by the unexpected black page. 👍🏽 I would be interested by an adaptation of scenes from "Inception" from Christopher Nolan. Especially one of the last scene, when we see the 3 dreams level with all their part of suspens in a raw. And another one is a scene from the movie "Le collier perdu de la Colombe" from Nacer Khemir when the young calligrapher is picking an eye to his master's daughter (that he secretly love) while he is in the pigeons lofts.

It really depends. Some writers are very visual and will include effects like that. Others aren't as much and in that case, if your creative partner trusts you, they'll allow you to mess up panel count a little to make your idea work. In the case of the 2 following spreads, if they weren't in the script it would be hard to add them and still meet the 24-page count, though.

I think your layout for the first page is excellent! However, I'm not so sure about the 2nd page following being empty (black) panels. If you had an Editor, they might want a different solution. Plus, you are taking up a lot of page space; it's a bit self-indulgent. BTW: Your overall presentation here is very well done, and *_I want your Cintiq!_* ;)

the artistic part is really interesting but the scientific part is not really on point, for exemple the part at 2:15 is reaaaaaally wrong, it's a bad misconception, chernobyl could never have wiped out europe or anything like that, there wasn't enough radioactive "fuel" in the core to do it. powerful and dangerous radioactive elements have a short half-life and most were solid blocks so not really volatile enough to affect far enough countries. the radioactive clouds would have been way worse than they were but not enough to wipe out europe

That trick with the flashlights and then the black page with only the click sound, what an awesome sequence.
Imagine a dialogue heavy scene from the first season of True Detective. I would love to see that!
I think this page will work really well with a webtoon format. The vertical schrolling is great for the suspense and tension
