There's an old, recurring joke about people in the audience talking during bass solos. I guess inserting an interview of Pat during a bass solo in the video is taking that trope to the next level. I have to admit that I was amused... even if the joke wasn't deliberate.
Would you stop... The fact that Pat even deems someone's music worthy of playing is only going to elevate that composers status by bringing attention to it. The idea that Pat "needs" to play someone else's music at this point is laughable.

I’ve seen many people talking during all other solos. . . but band just notices when they quite down for the bass solo.
