曲の方はイラストか、曲か、いずれにしろ日々消費される(ネット)コンテンツの数々のことかな。
深浅入り乱れる考察を見て、しっかり味わってくれているか気にしつつも、その一方で真の思いに気づいて食べてくれなくなるくらいなら、「何も気づかぬまま めし上がってほしい」という、シェフの歌に聞こえた。
それと、最後の歌詞のイラストや他の歌詞から、コンテンツはただの生産物でなく、本人そのものであるくらいダイレクトで繊細なものなのだろうと思うと、しとおさんの作品愛の有り様がちょっとわかった気になりました。
まあ、このコメントすら一客の食レポでしかなく絶対的なものにはなりえないのですがね...。
狂気的な世界観が素晴らしい！

ah, it seems like the song is about a "people-eater." not in the literal sense, but the feast of "meat that nobody can identify and nobody cares about" is the thoughts and feelings the narrator "dishes out". they pack and prepare their heart even while knowing that the person they like already has a full stomach; full of the same meat that they are preparing, but it isn't theirs, it's someone else's. but despite it all, and even while knowing that the one they like will gladly eat up their heart without a second thought they still wish to prepare a savory meal that will have a lasting impression. it's all in vain, of course, but still.
but it seems like the final meal, their best meal, that they have chosen to prepare is one of spite? the last chorus very much gives off the feelings of "I hope it's so good you choke." perhaps both characters aren't nearly as innocent as they want to appear...
in other words, food and meat is symbolic of someone's feelings, evident by how the narrator disguises their heart as a meal that is to be eaten by the greedy one they love. but the greedy one still has an appetite evermore, despite other peoples' food whining from inside of them.
it's also possible that the 'you' isn't a distinct person but a way of representing many people. that's why the last chorus is begging everyone to heartily eat their best meal and to not notice its "flavor" (the feelings it's packed with). in this case, it's more like so many people have been eating away at them until there's nothing left on their plates, and also nothing left of the narrator but the heart that they've dutifully prepared and locked away.
(another commenter replied with the hexadecimal code and its meaning, so I don't know too much about it...)
to further elaborate on why I think the narrator isn't as innocent as they first come across is because of the hexadecimal message hidden and how ominous the stills of them are. apparently the message basically translated to "you don't have to know anyone." so it makes me think that they want their best meal to be the other person's last, so that their stomach will never be filled with another person's food ever again.
Fascinating, I love it when someone comes up with a theory that tries to disseminate the inner meaning of the message, It allows one to compare impressions and perhaps fill holes left behind by an incomplete perception due to a lack of comparability of the context with the current knowledge the impression was made with
wow, i got something totally different out of this! i felt like it was about the process of making a song and letting people hear it, but masking the actual meaning beneath metaphor so the songwriter isn't left completely vulnerable. stuff about cutting up your heart, then wrapping it in something edible and giving it out to be consumed makes me think of, say, writing a song to vent emotions, but trying to make it palatable for others. the part about "once it's digested, no one knows what kind of meat they ate" feels like one of those songs where you listen to it happily, but then look up the lyrics and go " wtf"
i do love your interpretation though, i hadn't considered a romantic angle at all!
@@vlbonnie I got the same general idea from this song, but about both art and communication (like messaging friends or talking to people), packaging up one's sense of self and giving it out to others as a marketable, desirable product with good presentation on a neat little plate and being selective about what you show rather than the raw meat (from the heart). It shows this process as one that is sort of sick, and I took away the meta message that we are all human and we shouldn't have to go to such great lengths to make things palatable when instead, we can try to understand why someone is giving us a not-so-palatable "meal" to digest. It creates people like the narrator, which I can also relate to.
I like both interpretations, yours and OP's!

the translator, Mogue, is Japanese (and has studied English while living in the U.S. for five years) and talked with Shitoo themself when making this translation, so I do believe that the distorted part is just that (see below for translations). It is possible for there to be some mistakes, and they admitted they had much trouble with the onomatatopoeias, but it seems accurate from what I know.
The distorted part for line one is
"Watashi Anata Chigai Kore de oshimai", which translates to:
"Myself/I" " you" "mistake/error/discrepancy/difference" "that's all" or "It's the end"
line two is
Omae Rigai uzai Ai Zou majiru
"you " sympathy/comprehension/understanding" "annoying/a pain" "love mixed in"
the "Ai" is in hiragana, but it's clear from context that it's meant to be read as 愛, the character for love. couple this with Zou (憎) and it means love and hate. and the majiru is meant to be 混じる, meaning to mix.
Sorry for the long message! I just like dissecting and translating myself ^^
but yes, the distortion is meant to only be fragments of a full sentence or the narrator's thoughts. I believe full context is "Myself and you.. there's too big of a difference and so this is the end. You don't understand anything, it's so annoying." And so love and hate came to be mixed, much like how they pack together meat for a meal. It's the seasoning.
I don't know which part you were unsure with.. but feel free to leave a timestamp and I can try my hand at it ^^
I admittedly don't know much about Japanese onomatatopoeias though,,, I do know that Gachari is described as a "clank clank" sound and is usually used as a sfx for clanking chains, which is why Mogue translated it as "lock" though, since it fits with the locking of the narrator's heart in the first and next line (the onomatatopoeias are meant to disrupt lines and add sfxs to them for emphasis of the action being taken)
@@yeahbutwhy8788 no worries at all! and there are some minor grammar mistakes so I didn't mean to say that the translation was perfect, just that I could tell that Mogue was familiar with English to get the meaning across ^^;
the line at 1:14 is pretty accurate, though the meaning changes a bit with the way Mogue wrote it.
the line is "kore ga 'tadashii shokuji' darou"
kore ga = this
tadashii = correct/right (often times morally or lawfully)
shokuji = meal
darou = right/I think/wouldnt you agree (usually used to reaffirm a speakers opinion.)
so in this case the line is more like
"This is the" correct meal" [for you], right?"
or "I know this is the "right meal" for you. "
works as well ^^, though the you isn't a direct part of the sentence but more so implied
it's kind of like the narrator is saying" you shouldn't worry about anything and just eat it all up, after all I know what the right "meal" for you is" / "this is a meal befitting for you"
