@@gerardmarque4539 I loved my visit to Guedelon a few years ago- I hope to return before too long. So interesting to see all the skilled workers at their various crafts and such a wonderful atmosphere around the whole site.
@@gerardmarque4539 I am English and first learned of Guedelon from this TV program. The three English people have made other films about living in past ages, but this was the first time they ventured abroad and so far back in history. ua-cam.com/video/ydoRAbpWfCU/v-deo.html
Sorry, I do not remember exactly. I just searched on youtube: "Medieval music without copyright" (in french). The title of my file is not really explicit
Okay, next time you jealous folks need us to win a war for you, we can just take a pass. Since we understand so little, you can just solve everything yourselves, as well as fund it yourselves, too. Now take your ass-wipe metric system and return it to it's point of origin.
Au travail

When they finish this one....many more Chateaus to start on
Merci pour ce beau film bien didactique.
trés belle vidéo, merci
magnifique!
Voltando no tempos 👍👍😎
Great!
Merci
Et les melodies, s.v.p., comment elles s'appellent? J'aime 6/8 et 3/4 avec plaisir, toujours...Voila, de 1580, Greensleeves/Voici que l'ange Gabriel.
Wait a second, those shovels at 1:07 are just basic modern metal shovels, they would have used wooden shovels!!!
At the time when this kind of castle was being built, the forges already existed and it's easy to melt metal to make a shovel like in the video.
@@brewen_lmrch true, but if it was not necesairy to use metal they would not since metal was stil rare it was more usefull in other tasks
those french maidens had me thinking a certain type of way
8:36 is that legit tool? in some show i was watching they said they didnt use it... so now im properly confused
8:55 The tool he is using to split the wood is called a 'froe' in English.
Thank you for the information !

@@gerry343 We also loved Guedelon and that's why we made a movie. But we are French and you, where are you from?

@@gerardmarque4539 thank you nonetheless I will search a bit
Adrian Martin at 5.54 it is Greensleeves (but this is 16th century music I think). Other than that no idea.
Subtitles, anyone?
What do you mean ? Do you want english subtitles ?
Well, they wouldn't do much good if they were in Swahili! Yes, so we backwards and unrefined mere Americans can follow along.
Maybe if you tried a butt plug, it would help? ;)

2:39 he is using a saw? is that legit? in one show about it they said no saws only splitting wood and axes... or maybe maybe saw but super rarely
people have been using a saw for more than 5000 years
They rarely use saws due to them being hard to make is what they said in the show
SnowAngel0303 That doesn’t mean they weren’t used though. But splitting logs and then dimensioning with the side axe were very common I believe.
@@richardsinger01 yeah exactly. in some other video they even said ash was mostly used for wood work at that time since it splits very easily.
Faut que ce soit péremptoire au sol !
