They were cooking full mackerels head the lot I watched them gut it and hoy it in the pan the pier was lifting mate

Hi mate just watched your video takes me right back. I grew up there and used to fish roker pier as a boy back in the 80s. Used to catch some nice cod and coalies but I've not fished there since.I live down south now so do all my fishing on the south coast and Bristol Channel. We'll done for pulling up the Chinese fella 👏👏 it's not racist. I still manage to get back up every now and then so next time I will pack the rods. Keep up the good work👍🎣

The rubbish is becoming a real issue at the pier at the moment. I have been on a few times for bait over the last week's and I have filled bags every time. The things I have witnessed also, poor fish handling, under sized fish being kept. And unfortunately, these are in the majority non English "fishermen".

Went down on Wednesday morning and the usual suspects had bags of 20+ mackerel, some of them still flapping in the bags. I'm guessing they're using them for their restaurants.
I threw all mine back and was buzzing to get a fat little codling on the feathers.
Have you been to Maryport yet? I spoke to you last weekend on Roker pier first time I have fished on there don’t think I will go back!!! South Shields pier looks a better bet. Haven’t heard much about the fishing over here not many people fishing because of the poor weather!
Shields Pier is worse for snags than roker mind mate just be aware to lose some gear 👍
We went to maryport on Thursday and I can understand why the locals are not fishing much over there 🎣 we got sea weeded out and the winds made it a very difficult day… after experiencing Mary port pier im keen to go back now I feel I know when’s best to fish it 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@@cupholder3120 we did was forecast 12mph westerly’s but that wasn’t the case ended up a lot worse … you can’t always depend on the weather man 😂
