0:39 Additional tip for the top nut holding the strut, if its very rusty. I ONLY had a socket wrench that fit/worked (since other tools I had werent able to hold the bolt in place while spinning the nut), and I was able to remove it by just putting the wheels back on, lowering the car, and trying to remove it like that (I had just given up on it and was thinking of buying appropriate tools but then this idea came). This worked for me, the bolt did not spin anymore while removing the nut but before you raise the car again, leave it on just at the top so the strut doesnt fall. Not sure if it mattered but i also didnt have the sway bar links connected to it, as i was also replacing them.
Is it ok to use an impact to remove the top nut, since the center shaft will spin and possibly causing it to leak? Just in case you will be putting the old struts back on. Great video. 🖖
I replaced the spring coils and when i mounted everything the spring coils make a sound and they touch the frame of the car. Any reason why? Everything checked twice.
@Big Zeus : yeah I was thinking the same thing from here it looks like it's a pretty straightforward deal I don't know why you would have to realign it
I bought TRQ struts from partsgeek for my 2015 nissan versa note s and after installing and driving it for a week the top strut plate sticks off the car frame by several millimeters. How do I fix this?
Did you align the strut & the other suspension/steering components properly? I would guess that's the issue, you changed the positioning if on the replacement.
Strut Bolt part # 24430521. I can't find them anywhere but online. The nuts are Suspension Control Arm Nut part # 11546593. I hope this helps you buddy

I hope I can do mine in 9 minutes.
Are those two bolts that you reused the same as the other or are they different lengths/sizes?
What does the 60 degrees do??
"Bonk" the bolts out. I laughed a little. But it's a good video.
if he is replacing the strut the sway bar link only has to be losing from the bottom of it not the top
Do I need an impact Wrench ? And also with this same process Work well with a 2016 or not?
Almost didn't notice that a different nut was used on the top strut mount on the install. Thanks though, this video was very helpful!!
+Steven Soares Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

They mount the tire and the strut that you see is the old one
how do you know what 48 ft lbs with an standard wrench?
Need to align after or since its not really adjustable no?

@@nate83901 you don’t they just say that cause your messing with a steering/driving component in the front end.
i don't think so, he didn't remove the outer so it's not needed.
Yes you do need to align
He did recommend to align right in the beginning of the video. He is altering the position of the cv axle & stabilizer link.

Looks like he did.

+Brandy Wyant is the upper strut mount.
@@TRQ so there's no need to replace the mount?
Why, When putting on back the tire, I see the old shock and strut on??
He didn't mark it with paint.
