The reason you have lots of resources in a grind pack is that you need vast amounts of them to progress. Even if you feel like you have lots right now, that should NOT be a sign to burn it all just for the sake of it. Always strive to unlock the next better, more efficient process/machine in order to utilize your resources to the fullest. There WILL be moments where you are bottle-necked by the sheer number of items needed to make the next tier...
That said, there is also a famous saying: "Sometimes you need to be inefficient to be efficient" Meaning for example it might very well be quicker to just batch craft a number of plates, machine hulls etc at once even if it is technically more expensive, because it gets you going and overall is quicker than min-maxing every single step along the way, as you can just make the "lost" resources back quicker than it would have taken you to not "waste" them in the first place. Hope all of that makes sense :)
Yeah it reminds me a little of Nomifactory with the focus on manufacturing, rather than manufacturing and resource grinding which is why GTNH is so challenging.
Gregtech does add a bucket replacement, and it's Fluid cells/Universal cells. They're very easily craftable, just put tin or steel into a bender, and they can both carry any fluid you want, with the bonus benefits that one of them stacks to 64 while carrying fluid, and the other can carry fractions of a bucket worth of fluid, so you're not left with 72 mb stuck in a machine or something like that (I forgot which is which though, I think fluid cells are the stackable ones and universal cells are the ones with fractional-bucket capabilities)
6:25 You don't need to veinmine your trees. Axes have Treefeller on them and will chop the entire thing down. I actually noticed an exploit with that too. If you drop your axe after you break a block from a tree it'll stop taking durability but the blocks will keep being broken.
Cool thing about the extractanator, hoppers can draw from the bottom as long as the top of the extractanator is covered. Basicly, keep it from shooting out items, and it will extract it without hte items flying everywhere or the lag.
As others have mentioned, fluid drawers with void upgrades are great for storing liquids without clogging a system. If you are using a wooden barrel or steel drum, you can craft them alone in your inventory (or wherever) and it will empty them.
I mentioned that button switch trick in someone else's video. For atm9tts I believe. Nice to see it brought up here. Very effective trick. Can't say I discovered it originally or not, but I did discover it for myself without outside influence and shared it immediately 😂
I tend to rebind "Use" to the \ key for that (pebbles, sifting, etc.) as I don't use it for anything else normally. That way I don't have to rebind "Jump" as well. The challenge of GT - imo - is not about getting resources, just look at the veins in GTNH. It's about progressing through tiers and automating them.
i totally agree that the extractinator needs to get tweaked. i have been playing along with you and am about 1/2 way through lv and it just seems odd how the entire play through up until this point kind of revolves around some magical machine that doesn't even make much sense. the rate of materials you get per cobble doesn't bother me, its just that i feel their should be more variety in resource collection. (also i made a vanilla auto-smelter with a bunch of bonsais to basically automate all my smelting, helped a lot) love your videos!
about the extractinator being quite powerfull, just wait till you need to use the arc furnuce for ore conversions. also, steam is lossless, so it is better then cable initially to avoid spaghetti.
The extractinator should probably only process stuff at roughly a similar rate a vanilla hopper can. So you can't cheese it with auto clickers. Then have a faster version for the end game than can't be interacted with by hand.
I think you are playing the pack very carelessly. Things are going to get a lot more expensive with time. Also, the pack is called Sky Of Grind not Sky Of Eternal Suffering, and getting basic resources to be able to progress in the pack without spendings tens of hours AFK will bring more people to play it and make it more fun
@@pasblo39 i'm playing the pack and later on it becomes mostly 'alchemy'[Transmutation sorta] using the arc furnaces. why you are using as fuel creosete instead of lava? instead of plumber which requires manual click - you can use fluid drawers with void upgrade... my order of lv machines is always: turbine, wiremill, polarizer, bender then other goodies look for non default recipes. e.g. you have now cheaper resistors available.
You will like Monifactory better. It has more grind and you don't get the tons of items for free which you don't like. It is the modern version of Nomifactory. Much more grindy than Sky if Grind.

Ohh yes they are called cells!

Fair play on the extractinator.
Kinda bummed crystal chests don't render the inventory anymore but i remember that caused massive lag, lmao

You are eventually going to do part 6? We are patient, or is this series is done?
Gregified blood magic is the weirdest thing ive heard so far

the resource part only starts to become a problem around mv, (spoiler warning) where you need to process ores through an arc furnace more than once
about the extractinator being quite powerfull, just wait till you need to use the arc furnuce for ore conversions.

If a grind pack is giving you a lot of something, you should take it as a warning. Not a sign of imballence.

I waited more for this episode than for the birth of my son
please build a glass roof to keep the snow out
also please chisel some gold, lapis, and copper blocks for decor

But I agree with some people in the comments, that a single machine that gives everything for free might need some tweeking, more variety

You should try to make a Polarizer, the dont use circuits and help with the costs of redstone!
if you use a fluid drawer you can add a void upgrade and keep 32 buckets of creosote oil and void the rest
So exited! This video is finally unprivated.
you can right click for the fluid output in the menu
Can you show us upgrading your furnaces please? I think you can go to diamond now.

already i'm waiting for next one! :)
werent they disabled in the pack?
@@prze4214 if you are asking about fluid drawers - nope, still available and working fine.
Happened to dan robzprobz miss your packs
wiremill and bender does different things so make both.
Wrought iron pronounced like rot iron
Will those LV machines explode if it rains?
Normally yes, but it’s disabled in this pack I believe

No it's not to much. You will need more material than the in the future.
first!!!
