What you are saying makes good sense Rick.
Child Protection is utmost for our school. We can't let students escape into the bowels of the video provider from the confines of our Moodle LMS.
Does UA-cam or Vimea allow us to remove access to other experiences on their site?

Vimeo allows you to control access (that's why Vimeo has a paid service) but UA-cam will just do what it normally does. Promote other videos and allow the user to open up youtube.

Direct from Brazil. MKV video format not recognized. I converted it to MP4. Any suggestion?
Through UA-cam, I had no difficulties

I am not sure if you can embed MKV. It is a format I haven't looked at so will need to do some research to see what might work.

Why not use handbrake and compress your own videos first to get the size you want?

Absolutely. Great idea to use handbreak. The biggest benefits for embedding rather than loading up to the Moodle server is that it reduces server load and the streaming services adapt really well to devices and network speed. But yes, handbrake is a great program to optimise your videos.

Hello. As a teacher, can I view the logs across every single one of my courses at once, or can I only do each course individually from the logs menu?

      Hi Amy,
Only over one course at a time unless you use the Adhoc SQL plugin and write an SQL script to extract the data in a report.
      Hope this helps.
      Thanks, Chris

While in a quiz can students be tracked if they change or open a new tab

Not using a standard browser. This article may be useful though. web.respondus.com/he/lockdownbrowser/ It talks about secure browsers that prevent opening new tabs and disable copy and paste functions.
