Bro, dont second guess yourself on that ROG Ally boss. I just got one, and I've been playing Reddead Redemption and GTA V, and the graphics on that are crazy for a handheld. I also push Rechro Arch like nothing and play Xbox 360 and PS,PS2,PS3 games, and PSP,on and on, but you catch my drift. Just get it.
That's something I won't be able to do, at least from a scientific perspective. I'd love to see someone else do it though. It'll definitely make an interesting video.
Hey! So I got a ROG Ally last night, and installed retroarch, but the problem I'm having (and it may be because my Ally is brand new and I haven't set it up right) is that I'm not always getting the buttons on the controller to register as unique inputs. For instance, both L triggers appear to be tied to the same button. In addition, by default, the back button was the default close retroarch button. Any chance you can help me figure out how to fix this?
I wish someone would actually make a full video even if its not on yt smh. Once I figure this out it will be off UA-cam and available/straight forward!!!
I have read the comments and I’m having the same problem with getting my “A” button to stop pausing the game. And my “B” to stop quitting out. When in control mode it won’t respond at all. Been working on this for days now. Please help
@@robertbrazas9287 yes I found that if you totally reprogram the controller with the keyboard hotkeys it will respond. That is to say. Use the keyboard “w-a-s-d” for the direction pad then save it to controller mode.
I came to this video because I was having the same issues when playing SNES games. Turns out the solution was going to the online updater option and updating assets, cores and inputs/controllers. I can finally play my loved retro games. Edit: Nevermind, it only fixed it until I closed it. The next time I opened retroarch the same issue started happening.
So, I was looking through Reddit for a solution. Apparently, when the problem arises you just need to remap the while controller again once and save the configuration, but be sure to be in gamepad mode when doing so. That did it for me. I can finally play Super Mario World again.
Bought it, played around with it for a few days and sent it back. 1080p 120 fps OLED screen is nice but it gets far too hot and Windows 11 is buggy as hell! I pushed Cyperpunk hard and it refused to load again when I tried to play it with ray tracing on. Why do I need Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams for? It's meant to be a handheld gaming device! I'm gonna stick with my Steam Deck (and Analogue Pocket) for now and possibly get the Steam Deck 2 when it's out.
Apart from Windows being stupid Windows, I like the device a lot. For me it serves a couple of purposes. One being gaming, other being capturing emulated content. I have to say performance on modern games has been great and even at 30w profile it never feels hot in the hands. If it wasn't for the content capturing side, I'd have stuck with the steam deck, even though I know the performance isn't as powerful. Steam Deck truly gives a console like experience
Why the fuck would you try to run it with Ray tracing? Some expensive rigs can't even run ray tracing but you expected a handheld to do it? Good riddance 😂😂 enjoy your deck.
