The members are Taka (frontman), Ryota (bass), Toru (guitar) and Tomoya (drums). "We are" ist an athem for the younger generation. Taka writes almost all of the lyrics and he wants to deliver a meaningful message. He has not only a great voice, he's also a very emotional singer and his interaction with the crowd is awesome. OOR is a rabbit hole to go down. 🙂
This is the first song I ever heard from OOR and as a 60 you woman, even I felt empowered and hopeful with this amazing anthem. I fell in love with this group immediately. Taka's voice is simply perfect! Loved your reaction!

You hit the nail on the head. This song was originally written for a program called "18 Fes" where they gathered 1000 18 year olds from around the country to perform this song with the band. You can search up the 18 Fes version of this song. It's a rehearsed performance (though the crowd was was singing with the band for the first time) but you'll definitely get goosebumps. Basically in Japan, 18 year olds were getting the right to vote but they're still considered minors until they turn 20. This song was to empower them.

I’m so happy you discovered this band. Oneokrock was set to tour with Linkin park but as we all know the tour was cancelled for tragic reasons. But their are some great interviews with both bands together talking about how happy they were to tour together. Mike Shinoda even produced a few of their songs. One ok rock, like twenty one pilots don’t have a bad song. You can look up both Japanese or English versions of their newer albums. Can’t wait for more OOR!!!! I was King live with orchestra is an absolute masterpiece I hope you react to it😀😀😀

Amazingly, Taka was sick during this performance. The band actually went on a little late, because he was so ill backstage. Later he apologized for "not giving his all at the concert." (

They were going to open for Linkin Park. The singer flew to help with the tribute concert, singing with Linkin Park. Great band. Nice reaction.
Taka is amazing, I love that song. Great reaction. Another awesome performance is the live tour video for Take what you want... it takes patience tho, cuz there is a prolonged silence that makes what follows hit different than if it's broken. Hope you do that one at some point, if you haven't.

The first time I saw them live was in August 2017. They performed Linkin Park's "One More Light" in tribute to Chester Bennington. So powerful and well done...words can't come close to describing it.
