I have an old Dell laptop with a 2nd gen I5 chip in it. Put in a SSD, upgraded its ram to 16. (specs said it only went to 8/ Wrong), and bypassed requirement for upgrade to Win11 and it runs fine , and boots super fast. Its just a back up in case my desktop were to have issues, but I'll stick with Windows on it for full compatibility with my current programs and games. SSD's make a world of difference
Great upgrade, nice video. It's so satisfying when the old laptop runs better after a linux install. I've brought my HP elitebook 6930p (2008) back to life with linux and some hardware upgrades, it boots in less than a minute now. Artix/archcraft works best for me.

Linux breaths new life into older devices, I’ll be doing a RAM upgrade + ChromeOS video soon for some more experimentation.
