@@valkoriont2061 Nice truck and tires. How do you mount these correctly - without them falling off the rims and slowing down the truck? I'm new to rc. Thanks!
Did you upgrade to all metal ring and pinion and transmission gears? Mine had all plastic gears and I broke the rear ring and pinion on first drive completely stock in less than 20mins. Then I put metal gears but didn't know trans was plastic. Put on upgraded wheels and tires and then immediately stripped out the transmission. What a shame it's a cool truck but the drive train blows chunks fora crawler. The metal gears upgrade are cheap but what a pita just sell it for $20 extra $$ and have metal gears to begin with FMS. So shady!!! If your on stock plastic gears I'm shocked you haven't stripped any yet with those heavy wheels and big tires!
I’m on all stock gears on this one had one of the nuts come loose for the pinion gear but retighten it and haven’t had any problems since. The only thing I did do was swap out the portals to all brass and upgrade the driveshafts to metal. I love all my FMS rigs I did have a problem with my Unimog slipping gear when I upgraded the transmission to metal gears but I bought a new shift rod and shims and fixed the problem.
@@valkoriont2061 Wow --- i don't think you're driving it as hard as i was then --- i mean literally 20 minutes on stock tires etc and the ring gear in the rear was stripped out --- i was doing some moderate hill climbing so thats probably what did it --- high gear to get wheel speed to get up the hills. Here's the latest --- be careful with those plastic transmission gears lol --- i had to do some trickery to get the metal gear kit to fit the K10 transmission --- its not a direct fit --- even though they say it is! -- "How To" make it fit ---- ua-cam.com/video/1kvH7vR9P-E/v-deo.htmlsi=2ffjx1uKDxlJclqO
@@Idontdohandles Lol I drive them more than I should and pretty hard. I’ll say what my granddad always would say it’s the nut behind the wheel in this case the remote haha! Every rig is built different some will have flaws more then other units maybe yours was one of the unlucky ones.
@@valkoriont2061 agreed but no crawler i ever drove lasted very long with plastic internal gears.... period. Crawlers take metal gears for the torque load.
Fms fcx18 k10!!!~~~ The scenery is very beautiful, the video is good to watch and the rc car is very nice and cool.
Nice vid and you have a great place to crawl your rc’s
I’ve been spending way too much time out there haha
I never thought I’d like mustard yellow until I got my FMS FJ40, what an awesome color ! Great location for that truck , looks like fun 👍
Right on! I was the same about the yellow. I’ve been spending too much time there then at my own place 😂
Such a gorgeous rig! Perfect wheel and tire combo👌
And great driving💪
Glad you like it! Thank you!
I'm looking at getting the flatbed version of this k10 FMS fcx18.. thinking the black one... great video...
Thanks
Nice! Good run. It looks so much better with the supper stampers on it instead of the stock tires.
Yeah for sure! Thanks! I’ll have plenty more videos on it soon.
@@valkoriont2061 cool. lookin forward 2 em
