Hi Hof. I like your channel. I like your enthusiasm. I am a big fan of the FMS models. And this is the best one yet. One of the most silly imperfections is the red backup lights. I don't think any real cars do that even in China! And it is all the more silly because the brake light function is available. It is another free mod! But a little more tedious. Find the two Futaba connectors at the back of the truck. One has three wires on both sides. That goes to your orange turn and hazard lights. The other one has three wires on one side and two wires on the other side. That one goes to your red lights and is the one you want! Mark both parts of that plug with a Sharpie so that you can plug it back together exactly the same way. Unplug that Futaba connector with two wires on one side. Pry the plastic locking cogs up with an x-acto knife. Slide the center pin out, and slide it back into the vacant side. Push the locking cogs back down to lock the two pins in place. Push the Futaba connector back together exactly as it was. You now have red brake lights instead of red backup lights! Call it the Lilla Gubben hack. And it's free!
Thanks for supporting me 😊. Good tip. Rather to mess around with the connectors, I probably remove them and solder them together. This saves weight. Also for the roof lights, with other build I connected all lights in a string, so 1 lead go's to the esc/rx
Can you show in detail how to pop the shocks of the FMS old model LC80 RocHobby (the one without oil filled shocks). I am afraid to break the plastic links. Thanks
@hofsplace yeah I sorted it thats what I did being I was trying to take it off and relise that I can unscrew the hex and then take it off and just saw your reply thanks anyways 👍
Bro I just got mine and I’ve driving it outside a little and not even 10 minutes go by and now I got all neutrals and it only go in in gear every now and then . What the heck do I do man ?
3:06 But, but, but that's what the people WANTED! 😂They wanted stiff oil, filled-shocks, so that's what they got. They made a huge fuss about how the small 1/18 crawlers "didn't have real oil shocks" and their larger 1/10 hobby grade crawlers did....but I have to say the stock springs of the earlier Rochobby Katana/FMS Land Cruiser LC80 have superior articulation because they're just springs.

Thank u for teaching me how to tune the oil on the shocks Fabian
Perfect enthusiasm for advertising marketing business 😊

I just screw the ball studs out of the chassis and axles, so the stay in the shocks.
Or you can use a small cutting pliers and use it as a lever.
Very good video.THANK YOU.I bouth one of these
Immediately super Dutch
Hey I only have 20wt shock oil is it ok? Or I need to buy some 15wt like you have?? Thy
Just try it. If you have some accessories on the roof, maybe the extra weights makes it work fine
Nice one!
How do you take the shocks off ive been trying no luck
hi, you can undo the 1.5 Hex without removing it from the ball-stud.
@hofsplace yeah I sorted it thats what I did being I was trying to take it off and relise that I can unscrew the hex and then take it off and just saw your reply thanks anyways 👍

The mod is on purpose left un done by fms for a little video to pop up by all the UA-camrs. Trust me I spend lite time on here than creators ;) ❤

O nooo, does the shifting servo response to controller?
@@hofsplace yes
You maybe broke your differential gears
@@lilrenydid you open the axle?
If you find stripped gears, contact the store you bought it from. They can help you with the replacement parts.
Can anyone tell me how to switch from 2wd setting to 4wd setting
There is no standard option for that. If you would like 2wd instead of 4wd I suggest to remove one of the driveshafts

Totally agreed 👍🏻💯
Just due to the lack of support and the poor reviews online ive seen of this thing...im avoiding
Sorry, don't agree. It's one of the best out there, it out performs a TRX4M. The only big downside are the shocks
@@hofsplace FMS never responded to any of my emails, that right there is a red flag for me
