  • The Kwem from North-West Cameroon performing their sword dance at "Under the Volcano" Festival of Traditional Music & Dance. Held on 16th January 2010 at "Jungle Village", Botanic Gardens, Limbe, Cameroon.

    This nice to watch! Metta culture in action, very rich indeed. I remember the days I use to dance kwem. Hope I have to do it again. I love it. Well done people.

    This is good to meditate to get into the mindset of a spiritual warrior. Many of the orishas are warriors. Ogun, specifically, wars with the sword.

    Are there any martial arts techniques that are hidden in the dances? I love the swords

      Yeah it’s called Utto Bonki. A ancient fighting technique from omba bomba.
