Run 1 Km? Wow. 😆 I also posted such a run, but much shorter than this, and I saved the bird.
@@Pigeonmaniacom yes, well I managed to save them all. Last one was carried to the forest where he got lucky himself and somehow (with claw wounds) struggled away - AND, I thought I lost him. Returned himself at the dark tho- about 8 hours later. I always respect the thick bushes now which saved the smartest one.

peragrines only have a 30% strike rate on a dive and that is on a normal wild/feral rock dove/pigeon, id imagine theyd have a harder time with pigeons bred for racing

in 5 years i lost only 3 pigeon to pregrine falcons and i keep dor flyers high flyers , people who say falcons always catch pigeons they have no clue about the speed and moves pigeons make red tail hawks all sort of hawks never caught any of my pigeons only one pregrine female old and experienced caught 3 in 5 years now i don’t see the falcon anymore might have past away due to old age
right....almost everyone in our village has high flying pigeons each pigeon can fly 2 to 10 hours a day. i can see falcon attack every morning, 99% time pigeons win.........only a few pigeon which has Floating Tail while flying is vulnerable .....thats why pigeons with straight tails are considered well balanced here as the falcon cant catch them.
