Those aren't the drain plugs. Those are prescreens. They are to trap metal particles before the filter so that they can't be recycled through the engine.
The drain plug is in the middle of the engine case underneath.

Although I'm not an expert, the reason for two drain plugs, I suspect , is the one with the screen does not have to be removed or cleaned every oil change. The maintenance interval would better reflect that.

Both drain plugs have a filter screen on them

​@@1971gmeek I didn't see that due to the edited video. The only other reason for two plugs is to catch debris as the oil pumps through and then catch more debris as the oil recirculates back. On both sides of the pump I guess.
