Just barely got 2000 kms on this bike before the snow fell and after changing the air filter on my wing I’m relieved that doing basic maintenance on this one will be a lot easier. As for thé panels to get to the plugs and valve clearance checks it sucks. I regret selling my 93 R100GS … easiest bike to work on and it never let me down. Big thanks for this video!!

I do not need all the modern electronics inside the bike. When I see how complicated todays modern bikes are, I will keep my old suzuki v-strom 650.. which has simple construction and with all your video-tutorial is easy to maintain it almost by my self 😊. Even if is simple, it makes lot of fun..👍. Thanks sir.

Hello John, Thank you for sharing how to remove the spark plugs on CFMOTO Ibex 800T. Man, they really use a lot of screws and bolts to hold those plastic panels, gas tank cover, etc, just to get to those spark plugs. Being an adventure bike, I guess CFMOTO doesn't want any parts coming loose or rattle at all. Regarding the installation of the spark plugs, I don't know if you applied some but I'd like to suggest to coat a little anti-seize on the spark plugs for easier removal next time. A must on the aluminum heads. Also instead of using grease to lube the rubber coil seal use a Dielectric grease. Many greases aren't compatible with certain types of rubber, which can cause seals to swell or crack and lead to damage and down-time.

This is not an easy bike to work on for the home DIY mechanic, there is way too many complicated panels & screws to remove in some kind of sequence just to access the engine. I was interested in this machine to replace my Honda NC750X but I do all my servicing at home & this is way too complicated & time consuming for me. Sorry CF Moto but your off the short list now.

Triumph 900 is also expensive(as all europeans).
