      @@MrnMrsTraveler i am planning a trip soon to Fairbanks. Would you suggest taking the artic circle tour? Was it worth it? With Artic circle tour they are also covering northern lights, doing a separate northern lights tour makes any difference? I am torn between which tours to take.

    • @MrnMrsTraveler
      @MrnMrsTraveler  Місяць тому

      Touching Arctic Circle was on our travel Bucketlist. We had a great experience. With that said, it’s a personal preference. The journey is long and you get to stop at few viewpoints and lunch time in between.
      To answer your next question - I don’t think it will make any difference. I would suggest to book along with Arctic Circle tour to save time and energy. Also, they take you to good viewing area with cabin facility. Please check with the tour company about the facilities before booking.

      I saw them last year in Alaska. What’s crazy is they look nothing like they do in pictures and video. They look more like a whitish haze. Your naked eye doesn’t register the crazy colors that show up on pics/video. Still a cool experience though.

    • @MrnMrsTraveler

      We went in March during new moon when the aurora activity is highest and got lucky because of high kp index and a dark sky . We actually saw different colors in the band of aurora like green , purple and even other colors as well . But yea we have friends who have had a different experience 😊

      @@MrnMrsTraveler weird. I was there in March too…the people running the Aurora place were even explaining how what you see in photos/videos, are nothing like what is seen with the naked eye. I also know, have known people that have lived in AK that said the same thing.

    Amazing video! Will you please tell me if the tour allowed you sufficient time to watch the northern lights? Or are these tours very rushed? (since you have just 14 hours to visit many places). How much time were you allowed to explore the arctic circle and then also observe the northern lights?

    • @taralicindeka2318
      @taralicindeka2318 2 роки тому +1

      I also wanted to ask you few more things,
      1. Did you book the car for the entire trip? For example: after the tour shuttle dropped you off, did you drive back to your hotel?
      2. Could you do Chena hot springs and the arctic circle 14-hour tour while staying in the same hotel? Or did you pick different hotels closer to each place?
      I hope to hear back from you soon. Thank you.

    • @MrnMrsTraveler
      @MrnMrsTraveler  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks, regarding you questions :-
      1. You get sufficient time to see the northern lights. Yes there is a time constraint as the bus stops at many places but its same for any tour you book. In the winters its very cold as well, so for us we felt the time provided was sort of sufficient.
      2. The shuttles picked us up and dropped us at our hotel.
      3.We picked the same hotel in Fairbanks for our stay.
      We have provided all the information in our blog about the stay, what to wear and other details here :-

    We are planning to visit fairbanks in March 1st week. Have some q related to renting car & driving around fairbank. Does fairbank has lyft/uber/taxi as finding rental car on dates i am travelling seems very difficult ?

    • @MrnMrsTraveler
      @MrnMrsTraveler  2 роки тому

      Yes Uber/Lyft is available, frequency depends on weather conditions. would suggest to contact hotel for arranging taxi service if you are staying outside the downtown area. Also many activities include a pickup/drop facility from the hotel itself but it’s better to confirm beforehand.

    How much it costed for the whole trip bro? Can you please share?

    • @MrnMrsTraveler
      @MrnMrsTraveler  3 роки тому +1

      Bro, the budget will depend on the number of activities you are planning to do. Like if you book a day trip to Chena Hot Springs (along with Northern Lights Tour) , it will cost close to $200 per person. Most of the activities will cost between $50 to $300 per person. Also, we planned the trip ourselves and rented a car to roam around (driving was rough in icy conditions) . But for most of these tours, tour operators provide pickup and drop from the hotel.

    • @MrnMrsTraveler
      @MrnMrsTraveler  Рік тому +1

      Since Alaska is a state in the USA, you don’t need a passport unless you don’t have any other form of US Id (license,state id) . And there will be no immigration if you are flying from within the USA.
