An ultralight rod, 1000 size reel and a few spinners is one of my favourite types of fishing. The trout jump so high, you have to sink the rod to keep them out the branches. Lovely brownies.
Watching your previous videos I decided I'd give it a shot. Bought waders, spinners... went out and caught a couple trout and even a beautiful grayling. Cheers, another great vid.
Congratulations. That was a very beautiful fish. I never knew that trout jumped in that way when hooked. What an experience. Keep em coming mate it's so good to watch.
Beautiful big brown trout at the end , so unfortunate about the scales situation i’ve been there myself 😂, love the way you cast in these small streams keep up the good work 🎣❤️
Lovely all the best of luck on your pb and looking forward to your next video super fishing as always I’ll give it six all day what a beautiful brownie 👍🇮🇪☘️
Haha. Loved the ending with the big brown trout. Terrific fish, and probably not as delicate as people say. Trout don't mind a scrap and hold up rather well with a friendly approach to landing/resting. Could have been anywhere between 5lbs 8 ounces and 6lbs 3 ounces but what a lovely fish!
Ultralight "Buds Fishin' Stik", 1000 size Shimano open face reel, along with Panther Martin spinners from 1/16 - 1/8 oz works well for me!! Normally don't use over 4 lb line, as trout can see the heavier line. Playing them out, with drag set good, and you'll have a great time!! Fish the renowned AuSable River in Michigan USA!!
I'm so jealous of these European anglers. It just seems like every fishery in many parts of the US are overfished. I live in Colorado and if I am able to catch 1 or 2 trout in a single day, then it was a good one. I can't imagine slaying like this in a public stream.
Try mountainous streams that run over limestone. Some of the best trout streams and rivers here in Ireland run over limestone. It makes for more oxygenated water and healthier ecologies. Also, look for recent aquatic biology surveys in your area. They're great for indicating the best areas.
This country is good for fishing. But the high influx of foreign poachers who have no reguard for English values are destroying the good quality fishing spots. Southampton no exception. They come and savage everything.
Old ginge smashing it as per..knows a thing or two about this fishing game..Fair play bro doing your thing in a stream fit for a few frogs n fishes..good start to the trout season..looking forward to seeing more this season from you bro ..much love God bless n wishing good health to the new little un in your family 👪
congratulations on the new edition you may get yer fishing wings clipped a wee bit now matey. fantastic upload with some cracking looking trout, before you gave youre guesstimation I said to my self 5 lb just over.A fantastic speciman well done
Yup....closer to 6 than 5....easy! That brownie was in great condition too! You won't forget that one inna hurry mate. I actually have a secret spot in mid-wales that holds mongrel brownies like this one in the video. About 10 or so years ago my mate and I landed a 8 or 9lb monster....we were both gobsmacked. Hard to believe, even when it's in your hands right under ur nose😲😲😲 🐟
Cracking brownie in the stream after the little guys. I would guesstimate the weight at 5lb 4oz but that's comparing your hands to the trout. Who knows, next time whilst in water check for scales perhaps 😂😂😂
Je suis français et j'adore tes vidéos tu es un super pêcheur !

hard to beat an inline spinner, one of my favorite lures for any species. I hope everyone catches their PB this spring!!
Ahh mate , the trout not being weighted/measured will always make it a cooler memory. Your legendary mystery monster!
Beautiful big brown trout at the end , so unfortunate about the scales situation i’ve been there myself 😂, love the way you cast in these small streams keep up the good work 🎣❤️
Fantastic session. This little river looks like a real diamond, and to hold such huge brownies is insane. Would be fantastic on a little fly rod.

@@patriotnick2801 same where I live, they’ve ruined pike fishing because they eat all of the big pike they catch.

Beautiful fish, the biggest must have been about 6lb, but the old carp anglers trick, if you forget your scales, is to just call it a double!😂
