Sir I am suffering from AS from last 15 yrs. It started with right SI joint fusion. But now I don't have any pain there as such. I have muscular pain in lumbar region now which aggravates when I get up from static motion. I have occasional pain bouts which goes away after 7 days generally in the onset of winter or monsoon. But Uveitis is common for me . It keeps on coming and going. But if required I can run to catch train. I have a pain in the bone from where the right toe starts. My doc advised me to walk or use warm n cold water therapy. Now my doc advised saz500 thrice daily. My problem is as I am a ibs patient my urine has already turned yellow. Is it normal? Am asked to take etoshine 2 days in a week. My hb is 15.8 , tc 7100, ESR 12 SGPT 45 Cretenin 0.8. Am I under control. Although my doc is sugessting me biologics which I am unable to afford. Looking for a response.
Plz try to take low starch diet its very helpful use calcium and vitamin D on priority. I am using that and believe me i am much much better than before i am also suffering from AS since last 12 years and uveitis but now i feel too much relaxed with no Sulfasalazine.

Yes. It can be AS. Inflammation in joints of the vertebrae is not seen externally as they are situated deep inside the body. Do see a rheumatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

Sir how often should we take X rays or sonographies to keep a check on the bone condition or overall body bone structure especially the ribcages and spine. Because when the AS warriors are on medication, doing exercise and regular followups with the doctor they don't tend to do the xray examination, is this ok ? Also how to lubricate the joints or keep them in good condition ? How do we know that there are no abnormalities within our body when there are no peculiar or persisting swelling or pains or flares. Can we say everything is fine if we are on medication and don't feel pains ? Or there is still something happening within our bones and muscle joints cartilages ? HLA B27 alone does not mean AS. There would something else apart from the report that must have prompted the rheumatologist to diagnose AS. Please discuss with your rheumatologist.
Thank you sir. I didn't have this much knowledge about AS before. I made many mistakes in past. Everytime When I started improving the pain, I stopped taking the Medicines on my own. I though there's no need, the disease is gone. But Now I understand why the pain comes back again after the remission. Now I know why it's important to always follow up with the Rheumatologist. Swelling in sacroiliac joints or vertebral joints is not visible due to overlying muscles. So one has backache but no visible swelling. Swelling will be seen in other joints like knee, feet, ankle if they are inflamed due to AS.

See an orthopaedic surgeon. This may well be sprain of the gluteus muscle & thorough examination can give a definitive diagnosis.

Yes. It can be AS. Inflammation in joints of the vertebrae is not seen externally as they are situated deep inside the body. Do see a rheumatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

Sir how often should we take X rays or sonographies to keep a check on the bone condition or overall body bone structure especially the ribcages and spine. Because when the AS warriors are on medication, doing exercise and regular followups with the doctor they don't tend to do the xray examination, is this ok ? Also how to lubricate the joints or keep them in good condition ? How do we know that there are no abnormalities within our body when there are no peculiar or persisting swelling or pains or flares. Can we say everything is fine if we are on medication and don't feel pains ? Or there is still something happening within our bones and muscle joints cartilages ? Sir also please make a video on how effective our Sunlight is for AS warriors. Thank you Dr.

HLA B27 alone does not mean AS. There would something else apart from the report that must have prompted the rheumatologist to diagnose AS. Please discuss with your rheumatologist.

I didn't have this much knowledge about AS before. I made many mistakes in past. Everytime When I started improving the pain, I stopped taking the Medicines on my own. I though there's no need, the disease is gone. But Now I understand why the pain comes back again after the remission.
Now I know why it's important to always follow up with the Rheumatologist.

Doc I have never had Swelling it's always pain..
Swelling in sacroiliac joints or vertebral joints is not visible due to overlying muscles. So one has backache but no visible swelling. Swelling will be seen in other joints like knee, feet, ankle if they are inflamed due to AS.
