I am so glad you Dad is going to be OK!! How very scary for you as I would imagine with you being a nurse, you were very aware of all the possibilities of what could be wrong!! The vest looks GREAT on you!! I would LOVE to visit your shop!!

A joyful visit, Kelly! I always feel like I am sat opposite you, looking at all these beautiful skeins and jewel like minis! What a fabulous jumper you are creating! I am finishing my “Éclair” jumper and already dream of knitting my next one, a “Le pouf” either jumper or cardigan with all the minis I acquired from you along with some natural floof!

Kelly, you look fantastic in your new vest!! It does fit perfectly and so you should knit all the colours that you feel that suit your wardrobe. Sorry to hear about your stressful news but good to hear that all is well and recovery will just be a awhile to come back to normal. Loved your modeling, take in all the lovely comments and sit back and enjoy!!! Loved the tour of the shop!

I completely agree and have always hated clothes shopping. I also love all the jumpers and tank tops you have made. Your slipover turned out beautifully and your new sweater is going to be as well, you really have a way with colour, being a dyer you’d have to be😂. I loved seeing the shop I suffer from FOMO over your shop, all the yarn and the workshops and often wish I lived closer or the money was equal and shipping to Canada not atrocious it’s about double the money to buy and have sent here😢. However….after seeing all the gorgeous yarn in all its glory today it’s probably a very good thing I’m not closer, I don’t think I’d have much willpower and I’d keep buying even if I didn’t knit it😂.
Thank you for the tour, the shop extension will be lovely and having the workshop space will be very satisfying for you and the attendees.
I’m sorry to hear of your Dads health problem and just pray it will be a quick treatment and recovery. Once you get to be a certain age I find I just kind of wait for the other shoe to drop and health will be a problem. I try to hold a positive attitude and hope for the best. Take care be safe and no one expects you to knit new projects every time to have an update, it’s just nice to hear from you.🥰🙋🏼♀️

Glad your dad has had the all clear on the health front. It's really exciting to hear about your new workshops. I would love to do the Lay family yarn retreat again but the issue is getting there and back. I don't think Trev wants to come and be a spare part for the weekend. Your Parec vest looks beautiful on you. I bought the pattern for the travel sweater. I am mulling over what colours to make it with. I love your cosy classic raglan, what a fantastic way to show off a mini skein set that you adore! 😁
Lovely podcast as always. Love your gentle voice and i think you should definitely try a brioche hat. Stephen West has some great videos on UA-cam which help make it make sense. Take care lovely lady.

Wow what a lot of work goes into setting up a show stand , ive been to lots of shows and never appreciated the work involved , from now on ill have a lot more respect for sellers loved having a peek into your world xx
I love watching videos when people visit yarn shows but I do always thing how different the scene looks from our side of the counter😂
I have just found your lovely podcast, I'm glad your father is going to be ok, what a horrible shock. I have been living in Ontario Canada for the past 23 yrs but come from Somerset, English roots! Maybe one day I might make a road trip to visit and see all your gorgeous yarn in person and even come for one of your retreats!🤞💕
Lots of lovey news - your Dad getting better and expanding your premises. I felt a bit envious of you sitting in the midst of all that beautiful yarn! I want to knit some green socks and there were so many lovely greens I’d never be able to choose. I’m so glad you’re pleased with your slip over, it looks great on. Good to hear your dad is getting better. I find it fascinating how all the lovely yarn colours are produced and thank you so much for the tour. Your slipcover is lovely and you modelled it so well. Love the colours of the new jumper as well.

They are all day workshops but just run over one day. If anybody wanted an overnight stay we can of course help with accommodation etc

Ooh i am so excited for the retreats. I spent all afternoon today making lists, booking the pub, liaising with caterer etc i love it. Have you sorted your accommodation? The local recommended ones do get booked pretty quickly x

Love seeing the shop! I really appreciate that you show what you work on, but don’t force knitting just for content. We all have jobs and while yours is related to knitting, it’s still a hobby and that should not be sacrificed.
